Best Fresh Donuts!I've lived in Seattle, Phoenix, Austin, Lincoln, and Salt Lake City . . . and these are some of the BEST donuts I've ever had. The cake donuts remind me of my grandma's. They are freshly made in small batches and with no preservatives. They are also able to fill many types of bakery orders - we ordered Scandinavian rosettes for my son's senior party, and they were beautiful and delicious.

Nice selection of old-fashioned doughnuts, rolls, and long johns. They're known for their apple fritters, which I haven't tried personally. They also have a cooler with a selection of milk and drinks.

The best bakery. Like we used to have in my hometown youth days. I even bought a bacon topped pastry. Wonderful! And not expensive. Four big fritter like pastries for $6.50.Get there early before the best are sold out. They have morning coffee too.

Fun hometown bakery. All recipes are created by the owners and they use red delicious apples from their own trees to make the fritters! They sell out fast so get there early! Delicious donuts!

Some of the best donuts I have had period! I'm always excited when my friend goes to his home town and brings me back some donuts and pudding filled longjohns. My coworkers and i always give him an order with all our favorite pastries. Highly recommend it!

Normally I would say five stars because everything is top of the line when it comes to quality, taste, and how its presented. Maybe because it was super busy with in house sitting customers few wownd for sound toddlers and a line of 7 or 8 people. But the one lady seemed new and struggled with register, no biggie I'm patient and I got the donuts next to ones I wanted and rather than bother trying to exchange I went back into get the right ones and waited in line again. Leaving with 4 loaves of yummy bread for my residents at Madison Square and couple sweets I walked out got ten steps from the door and was knocked over by kid on bike not paying attention. My sweets smeared across the sidewalk and two smashed loaves. I wasnt about to go back in for a third time to bother them ladies. Better luck some other morning

The Bakery is just an awesome place to get a sweet treat for breakfast. Its easy to find right on the square. They are open really early in the morning so people that have to be at work or school real early can get a donut and coffee on there way. Right when you walk in the door you feel welcome because the owners and the works are very polite and friendly and always smiling and greet u with" good morning". There is alot to choose from and everything is baked fresh everyday. They have alot of business but, you hardly have any wait at all. Prices are reasonable and you are always happy with the food cause its so good.

If you get the chance to stop in definitely do so. You will not be disappointed. All the bakery items here are great. The owners are very friendly and a great local resource. They do accept cash and card at this time. Prices seem to be very reasonable as well. They will slice fresh bread if you ask them to as well.

Winterset wouldn't be complete without this family run business! It perfectly fits the small town America feel. Mrs. Sparks always has a big smile and the donuts are second to none. The history of the building and location on the square are perfect. I can't wait to visit again.

When my coworkers in Des Moines want a special treat, they request I bring Bakery Unlimited donuts. They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. I recommend the fried cinnamon rolls with chocolate frosting.
