Brick Road Books is a tremendous community asset in Winterset equally welcoming to both locals and visitors. Just an excellent selection from genres across fiction and non-fiction and spanning age groups. The emphasis is on new books, but they have lovely gently used options as well. Heather (the owner) has an uncommon sense for what customers might like and is a delight to talk with. They also offer classes and clubs with details for those posted on their Instagram. 200/100--cannot recommend enough. Don't sleep on BRB!

I visited this lovely and locally-owned shop today with my daughter. She felt at home right away and climbed into the window reading nook! Selection of children and adult books was expansive, and the ambience is very welcoming.

Heather is awesome! I am a teacher and I love chatting with her about children's books. She even said she will order a book a book for me that isn't in her store at this time. I am so excited Winterset has a book store and I will be a frequent visitor.
