I went to the store and was disgusted as soon as I got out of the car no one sweeps the sidewalk nor do they clean the floor. The girls were behind the counter for once, there was candy spilled on the floor right in front of the registers. The store used to be better I think you could do better!!

The manager who has waited on me several times has always been friendly and ask if I have found everything alright. They employ a couple of real nice women that I have also encountered. Some of the other staff are either shy or do not talk much. For as big as the store is, they do there best to keep items filled and somewhat organized. I for one think corporate should employ more staff during peak times and on truck days. This is something I have talked to the managers about, but they tell me it's how corporate runs. So be it, otherwise I have never had a bad experience, just a lot of patience.

I love this store but was so disappointed last night when I found tons of shelves empty. Usually they have everything I need. Prices are good, employees are nice and it's convenient.

Never ever a cashier around when your checking out. Never can find the item(s) on the shelf that you need. To much shoplifting under the nose of camera's. Finding to many items out of place on shelves and to many items on the floors in every isle. People are suppose to place fanny packs or school bags on the floor of the store when they enter the store, but some don't do it. The bathrooms need improvement.

The store is always empty and carts with cardboard boxes of product are always on the hallways with out being unpack. All you see when you go in is a messy place with nothing to find since all of it is empty. It’s just depressing and frustrating.

I got a very old slim Jim, that was hard and tasted funny, honestly, I'm disgusted. I just wanted a snack after having a class around the corner. Seriously grossed out by how old and nasty that was.

The shelves are barely stock with goods and now and again the employers seem to make up there own closing hours. Stuff is stolen quite often under the eyes of the survailence cameras. Items are out of place on shelves and covering the floor. No intercom system at the cashier station. No hand held radios for the employees. Often no cashier at the front when person or a line of people waiting to check out. One of the two check out stations has just one cashier. Only 1or2 cashiers working on certain days. They need two cashiers and two employees to stock shelves every 365 days out of the year and continue to do so every year with NO exceptions.

The store struggles to provide a good service with competitive prices. Low wages prevent stability of staff. Some tech items are of low quality. But i think the store is good in many regards, a large proportion of town population visits DG, and help many customers save a trip to Iowa City. I can compare this store and the one in Col Jction, big difference in prices.

Price tags on shelves for the West Liberty Dollar General are frequently inaccurate, and the inaccuracies are universally in the store's favor. The price differences are generally small, seemingly insignificant amounts, that one might not notice when checking out at the cash register. Sale signs are posted around the store are left up after they've expired, and the expiration dates listed on the sale signs are small enough that those who have less than perfect vision or the elderly probably don't notice them. I'm not saying the West Liberty Dollar General is doing this intentionally. But my advice would be to take note of advertised prices when shopping there, and then scrutinize your receipt afterward.

Thankfully the store just got a new manager who seems to be trying to get a handle on things. The employees are friendly and helpful. The store just needs to.het items stocked and get the store back in order.

Really good local spot to grab anything you may need. Items vary greatly and they're at a pretty good price. Customer service is generally very friendly and helpful as well.

West liberty was resetting so shelves empty ,hard to find things.was told the store would be in order within next day..I have not been back to see..it's understandable why can't this be done at night.. corporate was doing reset..I could tell.shutbit down or do this at night..
