This location is super clean and organized. Excellent selection of high quality merchandise at good prices. I had been shopping at the location in Rosemont IL and this one is so much nicer! Love the surrounding area also and parking is easy to find.

I found the cutest purse for a steal! Annnnnnnd they have little mini bottles of jimmy choo I can carry in my purse!!! It was a win win for my one day out during quarantine.

Just wanted to drop a quick review of our recent visit to the Mall of America Nordstrom Rack. Normally wouldn’t write a review of a mall or retail store, but the woman who checked us out, India, struck us as so wonderful. She was super kind to our daughter despite a busy check out. But the part that was great…a young woman walked up to her while we were checking out asking if she knew the number for security, as she had lost her cousin. India jumped into action, not missing a beat, calling immediately and taking care of the situation. Turns out all was well with the boy, but we were just super impressed with her. Nice going!

Store was full, had many gift sets on display for the holiday season. It was organized and well lit. I bought two Designer jackets for my son. He and I are both happy. Check out was smooth and streamlined. Designer items at affordable prices. Its a wonderful treasure hunt you never know what you might find.

Great selection of items, especially shoes. I have big feet and I can usually find a nice pair of shoes here for either leisure or work, sometimes even workout shoes. The men's clothes is smaller than the ladies, but if you look there is lots of great selections here too. Staff is awesome.

First time in this physical store. Had some items to return that I bought for Birthday presents that di not fit. A little disorienting at first since there is only 1 cash register, but got everything taken care of quickly and easily. I only saw one employee on the floor which was a bit odd. We shopped and made other purchases and were satisfied. Will go back again to look around a bit more.

I am a BIG fan of Nordstrom and their customer service. However, the Racks can be hit or miss and this one in West Des Moines has about the worst level of customer service I've ever experienced. I have returned a few Nordstrom purchases that haven't worked out to this Rack (there's no Nordstrom in the state) and have been met with very rude service. As it's the second time it has happened, I'm taking the time to write a review. Yesterday, the young woman at the counter (long blonde hair, 18 or 19 years old) did not say hello, slammed my packages down loudly on the counter and simply said, "Order number??". Extremely rude. As I was walking away, I asked my daughter if the young woman was being "surly" or was it just me? My daughter, an assistant buyer in retail in NYC, echoed my comments and said she has rarely seen such rude customer service.

Wide range of choices but rather unkempt store. Lots of clutter and untidiness. The merchandise ranges in quality from so-so to rather good. Like any clearance store, you have to be willing to pick through a lot of stuff. We did find a few good deals on the things we were looking for so no complaints in that aspect.

I don’t think I can fit the amount of things that’s messed up about this establishment in one review. This store is a circus. Unkempt. Disorganized. Disorderly. The head manager is NOT vaccinated and she coughed on my child. The fitting rooms are a disgusting mess. This Nordstrom Rack used to be respectable and filled with kind hearted, helpful employees and management. It’s a SHAME what has happened to the place. Would not recommend unless you enjoy the sheer chaos of the joint. I would give it zero stars if it allowed me to, the single star goes to the few employees who have stuck it out under the pandemonium.

Not sure what the big hype for this store this. I have been in this store location several times. I have found any clothing or handbags that I care for. I had purchased two pairs of shoes. My feet were swollen at the time and so I couldn’t really try them on. Due to a lengthy illness I could not get the shoes returned, I’m also an hour from the store each way. The store is clean and staff and fellow customers are all very kind and friendly.

Great selection and discounted prices on nice higher end brands. I bought a 125 dollar pair of Brooks Ghost running shoes for 69 dollars. I had paid 125 for the same pair a few months earlier. I liked them so much, and the price was so good here, I picked up a second pair. Staff was nice and helpful.

I absolutely hate the Des Moines store layout. It looks like a Walmart or worse... no rhyme or reason where departments/styles are. Merchandise is always misplaced. It used to be very nice, with sections for types or brands of clothes, high and low presentation, waterfall stands or tee stands to showcase new or special purchases. Even when you opened your first rack in California, and only had merchandise from the actual Nordstrom stores, they looked better than this store.I will no longer shop in store, but will buy online and return things that don’t fit or don’t look like the picture.The staff is very professional and helpful, even when they too cannot easily find merchandise in the store. Close the store and offer free shipping and returns. Use a special Rack box, to gain recognition, like Amazon Smile box. VERY FRUSTRATING SHOPPING EXPERIENCE...

This isn't my favorite Nordstrom Rack! This location is pretty small compared to other locations, the racks are typically picked over pretty well and the store is always busy. I never usually find anything that I want at this one. I prefer the larger stores with bigger selection, but I'm still thankful we have this here. It's usually clean.

Went into store this morning not 1 salesperson spoke us at all. We had to speak to them. Female salesperson gave us a very dissatisfied look. They are not people, people.. Yes we are Black American customers, but deserve better service.

I grew up with Nordstrom department stores, so just the brand is a little nostalgic for me. This is a clean, friendly, mostly well-organized discount store, but the discounts aren't often that great. Sometimes, you get the impression you would do better to just watch the sale racks at the actual retail locations (or online). Sometimes I find a treasure or two, but for bargain shopping, I typically head to TJ Maxx and Marshall's. Also, pricing isn't always apparent. Last time I was there, an entire rack of children's toys didn't have any pricing whatsoever. I didn't bother to ask. Key Tip: if you are an odd, smaller bra size, (30, 32 band and B-F cups) you may find amazing deals here. They are always on clearance.

What a disappointment! I had not been in the Rack for awhile, but I was really shocked with the layout of the store. I have better luck finding thins at T.J Max. The selection of shoes, designer brands, men's and kids has really gone down hill since they opened. It's a shame that Nordstorm's downgraded this Rack location since it's the only one in Iowa. Don't think I'll waste my time shopping there.

The employees are way too worried about each other than the customers and they seem to never check the racks to see if the sizes are what they say they are on them. As well as being in a constant state of disarray and lack of cleanliness. The quality of products is about the only saving grace for this store.

Store was much larger than I expected for a Nordstrom Outlet, wide selection of mens, womens and some childrens clothing, shoes and other accessories. Great selection of name brand items at some great prices but it does take some time to find what you're looking for. If you're patient and don't mind browsing then you can find some great deals.

Horrible, I usually go here for all the great sales by myself. I am mixed, today I came in with my father and grandmother they're black. I picked out some jewelry and had two dresses I needed to try on. I gave the lady the jewelry to hold for me and then held up both dresses for her to see, she then gave me a (2) sticker, however after she asked if I could step behind the counter, took my hangers and shook my clothes and told me I was okay to go. I didn't think anything of it until I noticed she didn't do it to anyone else BUT ME. My father said on his way out some worker followed him to the door. I put everything down and decided not to buy from you guys. I felt harassed, and hurt because I've never done anything to deserve that type of service. So if you are of color and come in with two or more people of color I recommend you watch how they treat you because it's very disrespectful.

I'd never been here but was glad to have an actual location to make my Nordstrom Rack returns. I'll be back for sure! The only reason I give 4 stars is due to the lack of varied sizes in many of the items I was interested in.

Stopped by to see if there were any bargains on men's clothing and walked out the door within 10 minutes. Prices are somewhat high and the selection of winter clothing was bismal. I have been to this store on several occasions and I seldom find any good deals.
