Small selection but they honor hyvee deals that are going on. Never had an issue with something being bad or the pharmacy when I pick up my wife's prescription. All around good for what it is.

I can't remember the young gal's name, but it's either Alexis or Lexie. She's so super sweet and in a pleasant mood every time I go in there. She's the reason for my 5 star review. I do appreciate the store for quick runs, but they're often out of a bunch of things, and you have a convenience fee added to all products.

It is not a full size grocery store so quantities and selections are sometimes lacking. That said, they in general do a good job of maximizing choices and space. Frozen Foods could certainly benefit from more selections. The staff has always been courteous and helpful and the attached liquor store certainly has benefits as well.

The drive-through window needs to be extended out a little more about 3 feet that way when you pull up you don’t have to open your door just to grab your meds.

Prices are about the same as the grocery stores. There are almost too many employees, but they do keep it well stocked. It's a busy store but usually not crowded. They dedicate too much space to alcohol and cigarettes. They also sell lottery items there - good place to go if you have a lot of tickets to cash in(it would be nice if our lottery sold winning tickets).

The pharmacy is good. They do their best to fill scripts quickly and they do deliver throughout much (if not all) of West Des Moines. The store is okay. Often I am a bit frustrated by lack of certain types of groceries but otherwise OK.

I shop here multiple times a week and I just want to say the young man named Clay that works there is the nicest most helpful young man. He always helps me find things and will even sometimes push my cart for me. He is a great kid. I drive further to this store just because Clay works here. I hope he gets recognized for his hard work. Thank you Clay! And keep up the hard work. There is also a older short dark-haired woman that works there I believe her name is Alice she is very rude to me every time I go in there for some odd reason even though I am always very polite and try to crack a joke to enlighten her. She almost seems to follow me around the store like I’m going to steal something even though my outfit is worth more than her two week paycheck. Not trying to brag but I don’t get why this lady has such an attitude and I’ve seen it with other customers too. I hope I have her name right, she is a manager I believe

Cheryl Watson the pharmacist is top notch professional, helpful, friendly and approachable! I was in from out of town and with my Mom who needed help with her prescription. Cheryl came out from behind the counter to help communicate with her (91 and hearing problems). She listened to her needs and solved her problem. So kind!!! So kind and I know Mom is in good hands 🙌

It was really nice, very clean. It was my first time . I am new to this area , it felt good to have a place close to my apartment to get groceries.Thank you for reminding me if my Hy-Vee Perks membership.It the best choose U have ever made .The best money spent ! The staff here are always friendly and helpful... even during this time of the pandemic. The location is so convenient and the ability run in and grab just about anything, you would find in a regular-sized grocery store... makes this place "essential."

Everything I need, close by. They are lacking service cashiers. Not everyone wants to do self checkout. Need at least ONE more full service register. Thankful for the location and seeming to have everything with regards to all life staples.

The selection is NOT what you are used to if you normally shop at the full sized Hy-Vee or drug store. They seem to have lots of odds and ends that you wouldn't expect, but you really have to look for them. Always end up leaving mostly satisfied with what they had on my list. I would recommend as far as location and staff.

A convenient place to stop off for last minute groceries. Obviously not as well stocked as a regular HyVee but is quite helpful if you need something basic. It's possible to be in and out in under 5 minutes. The produce section is kinda hit or miss so you cant plan on the having a particular item on any given day. For what it is though, a small corner store, it does a great job. Definitely better selection and prices than a gas station.

I used to shop here all the time. I went into the store today and went to check out to see that it is 100% self check out. I don’t understand why this was a decision but it wasn’t a good one. An older woman at the self check out in front of us was struggling with very little help from staff. I had multiple things from produce that I was struggling to find and had an employee start helping me and after 1 thing was rung up (I had 4 different produce items) he said sorry I need to go help someone else. I don’t think this is efficient and self check out should be there as an option not the only option. Employees are hired and paid for being cashiers/baggers. I am not.

The best neighborhood store! Prices are largely the same as a full-sized Hy-Vee, but the store is smaller making it easy to do a quick shopping or pick up a couple of items you need. They do have a pharmacy with a drive-through of you need it. Considering the size they have a large selection, big alcohol section and fresh fruits and vegetables the staff is great and you can use your Hy-Vee rewards card just like any other store.

Not one shopping lane that is anything but self-checkout. If you’re interested in waiting for others to finish scanning and bagging their own groceries and you have the time to wait awhile for the one worker available to help you when you need it, shop here. They need to at least change HALF of their lane back to a cashier.

Run out of hand sanitizing wipes often. Some are flirty to my so right in front of me, unprofessional and made us both very uncomfortable and was just awkward. Some lack communication skills and basic manners. Should always check eggs and ask if milk needs to be bagged. I get weird looks while coming here. Not coming back.

I'm still giving 5 stars but I do hate that it's self checkout only. I don't work at HyVee deliberately. The store is clean and produce is fresh, staff are sweet.

Good for quick grocery items and pharmacy staff are courteous. They should probably rethink selling produce here. Often old and never appears fresh.
