We just come here for the $5-6 sushi rolls. Best budget-friendly high quality sushi rolls out there, absolutely blows hyvee sushi (which is typically priced at $7-8) out the water.Haven’t bought much else here so can’t comment on that but the sushi is fantastic for the price point

They have good produce at reasonable prices. The store is neat and clean. Their prices on non produce items seem high. Checkout is quick and self checkout is available and if help is needed, the attendants are readily available.

I love this place. Des Moines got lucky, one of my three most favorite things to get: frozen precooked half duck at the freezer section, fresh squeezed carrot juice and watermelon in summer. I always get the dark ones or seeded ones and I have yet to have a bad melon.

Very neat selection of grocery items! Unique selections of meats such as buffalo, venison, etc. Lots of fresh fruits to choose from and fresh veggies to pick from as well (organic too!)

This place and Fareway are the only places you need to go to buy groceries. Great Prices and a variety of healthy food second to none. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Very nice and clean grocery store with fantastic selections and fair pricing. Staff members encountered were very considerate and professional. The produce was extremely fresh. I would recommend shopping here and wish it were closer to Ankeny.

Small variety of deli sandwiches. Ham sandwiche with only cheese on it. No condiments at all. Had a stinky smell when we walked in. There was a variety of other foods and nice customer service so I'll give a 3.

I always have a good time when I stop here. I unfortunately forget about it too often. Especially since Whole Foods is just down the road, and I have a few things I get there regularly. It reminds me of a Trader Joe's, market type layout. But bigger than Trader Joe's. Similar to Natural Grocers, but with a more open feel.They have a good bulk selection. And last time I was there, they had nice plastic containers to put things in (if you don't bring your own containers)They have lots of fresh produce. And more vegan friendly items than average grocery stores. Just wish I had one close to where I live.

Easily the best place in the Des Moines area to get a variety of fresh produce. Not only is the selection available high quality, but the prices are wonderful. I come here weekly simply for that alone, but I have also enjoyed their bulk area (coffee, dried beans, flours, nuts, candy, etc.) as well the diverse options for regular shopping. Usually if there is a unique ingredient I am looking for on the shelves, I am able to find it here. Sign up for their weekly e-mails to take advantage of the great deals they always seem to have and you'll be sure to save quite a bit of money on your groceries.

It's a great place to shop if you're looking for foods that are better for your body or better for the planet. (However, not a great place to shop if you're looking for sliced American cheese.) Also, don't go there if you're already hungry. They recently added fresh soups to a large open area of the store and the smells really get into you're mask and stay there.

This was my first time visiting this store, and I don't think I can go anywhere else. They have the most options for dairy free that I've seen in any store, and there were many things that I'm very excited to try. Definitely going to continue shopping here for all of my grocery needs.

Nice refreshing market. Update as of 7/18/2022. I was in the area and stopped in. For I had looked up to see what store had Boar Head deli meat. And Fresh Thyme was the only place in the Des Moines area. I was a little surprised when I went in to see that the deli meat was very low, not much in the case. I was able to get some sliced chicken, which I like very much. While there I picked up 1.69 fresh strawberry and black berries. The store is laid out nice and clean. The young lady at checkout was pleasant. Could smile, a little more..I understand it was Monday.

It's a small grocery store and I could never buy all my groceries here just because I'm not the healthiest of eaters, lol. But the staff has always been friendly and nice.The products that I do buy here, I love. I love all their "bins" of candies and nuts. Their vegetables look like they're set up for a magazine photo spread. They're quite fresh and colorful.I've never been disappointed for ever shopping there. I like how every month they have a different local charity they donate 1/2 the price of reusable bags too. They're nice bags too.If you haven't tried shopping here before, you should at least stop in for a trip. Oh, they also give a piece of free fruit to the kids. I must say, that is better than a cookie. Now, if we can just get them to change the age limit, lol.

Nice place to shop. Great deals. Always have fair prices. Produce is fresh and fully stocked when items are in season. If you are looking for a good price shop here. Barn deals are fabulous! If you haven't visited this grocer give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Drove clear across town, arrived at 7:45 and the deli had a sign they were closing at 8 but no one was around. Waste of gas and time. Wish they would note on their website areas that close earlier than store.

The variety of products is great. There are bulk items like flour and nuts. Baking flour for gluten-free. The selection of meat and seafood is good and staff is helpful. The store has a good atmosphere. On the down side except for sale items, prices are a little higher than the grocery chain stores.

Easy to get to road traveler's oasis. Fresh items easy to stick in your cooler allowing you to avoid god-awful interstate road McDonald's, etc. Sushi people: try the poke bowls.

This was my favorite store until today. If I wanted to check my own groceries out I would go to Walmart. They implemented self checkout lanes and someone stands at the end like Walmart and watches you checkout. Not sure what the point of omitting a cashier was. They have never been very busy when I have been there that one cashier can't handle it. Now, if you have a cart full of items, you have to do a balancing act and figure out where to put them because you only have a small table to sit them on. Looks like I will be going to Hy-Vee or Whole Foods from now on.

Fresh fruits and vegetables at a reasonable price. Staff are very friendly and can provide knowledgeable answers. Also have fresh bread.This is the only place in town I've been able to find Donkey tortilla chips. They also have good chocolate and nuts in bulk.

Vegans from out of town visiting for xmas. We were there to buy a mix of explicitly vegan items and some more common pantry staples. We thought we'd have to make more than one stop and this was our first one. This place had everything we we're looking for including a birthday card. Everything was easy to find and it felt really clean and well organized. Our family that lives here says they like the good deals on produce so they visit all the time. Wish we had one where we live!

Don't like Whole Foods prices? Love buying quality products at awesome prices? Go to Fresh Thyme! It's an easy choice for lunch for me because of their meals and price range. Their drink choices are also really nice as they have teas, juices, kombucha, etc!

Very friendly service. Their chocolate hazelnut spread is delicious. Tomorrow I'm going to try the roast half duck from Maple Leaf farms for lunch. My two dogs already gobbled down the pkg of beef roll ups. They didn't tear apart the house while I was gone, so I treated them after they calmed down when they saw me.
