They need to update their hours or something because every time I show up (middle of the day around noon) it's closed... Like it's not even consistent where it's 12, 3 or even 5. Like figure it out.0/10 would NOT recommend this location!!

Dollar Tree on 1st/63rd in WDM. For the last year… never open when I need something. Hours change randomly with unprofessional signs on the door. ‘Store closed’. Whoever runs this store should be fired.

Got there at 6 pm. All the lights were on, employee cars in the parking lot, but the doors were locked. The rude lady that answered the phone stated they closed early. I asked about putting a sign on the door to let customers know as 4 other customers pulled in when I did and she said “we can’t do that sorry, come back another day”. Definitely not! If you’re going to close an hour early at least let customers know why.

Never open on time. Poorly trained staff always dirty. Shelves poorly stocked. They removed all their hours and other important documents from doors and windows. All in all a bad store.

There have now been a ridiculous amount of times that I’ve needed to go to dollar tree and Google says that they’re still open but I go to the store and they’re closed. NOT COOL!

Open 1 or 2 days a week. Closed completely on Sunday and Monday. Tuesday and Thursday open 12 noon to 2 pm. Wednesday friday and saturday is anybody's guess. If they can't staff the stores maybe they should close about half, and move the remaining employees to the rest of the stores to be open more normal hours. Do we really need a dollar tree in every neighborhood?This location seems to have closed down. Last two times Ive tried to go, during normal posted hours, theyve had the doors locked with no explanation posted on the door.

Manager Jared has no Customer service skills!! I called ahead to ask if they carry a product he confirmed that they did on the phone. When I arrived to the store I couldn't locate the item. Jared came out of the back office with papers to sign for the vendor. I was waiting for him to finish his conversation with the vendor. When he looked at me and threw his arms up and said what! I said, I'm looking for something. He said yeah, what do you want? Told me to go walk down a few aisles and I should find it by the picture frames. What i wanted is not even available. I apparently troubled him for asking. Maybe he needs to be retrained for the job. Or find something that doesn't involve helping people. Everyone else working at this location have always been nice. Please take care of the rude employee.

63rd is the best Dollar Tree in Des Moines! They are always nice, have the newest stuff, and the cleanest stores. Displays aren't all torn up like at the others. I can't remember her name but I really enjoy an older gal who works there and is super sweet and sociable. Definitely does help it's close to my neighborhood.

This location is a joke. Today I went to go into the store and it was locked at 1:30pm. This is the 2nd time that I have came to this location and their doors were locked. I understand if they don’t have enough staff to have it open but if that is the case don’t have an open sign and then have your doors locked. I am never coming to this location again.

Great store with a wide variety of items. You can really make your dollars stretch here. Service was prompt, no waiting and staff was friendly! Much improved from my previous experience at this location. Great place to get basic holiday decorations too.

The store had slim pickings. Didn't have much. The guy with dreads was really unfriendly. I said something to my mom about it and she said he's like that all the time. 8 know they were busy but he could have a simple smile. I'll go to other stores when I'm in Des Moines. There are much better, more in stock and better selection. One employees was in the candy isle the whole time. Think he was on his phone with ear piece. Neither of us was sure what he was honestly doing. Mom and I had a whole convo on not finding herseys kisses. Would have been nice had he helped. Finally found them on our own. The one guy was stocking and was very helpful.

Never open when they are supposed to be. They just close the store at random times throughout the day, take the phone off the hook and post a sign that says “we will be back at this time” and then they don’t come back. Who runs this store???? Ridiculous

We've been sitting in the car waiting for this place to open for 20 mins. There were 5 people in the parking lot including us. The sign on the store said 11am for opening. The store didn't even have anyone inside. Very frustrating.

Very awesome hard working lady she is very nice and very helpful this lady puts in so many hours I think she should be promoted to area manager so she can do hiring herself instead of the one doing it now cause it's obvious that the one now has no clue how to also the store manager that works during the day is lazy and a lier

I like dollar tree for holidays and birthdays. They have balloons, paper plates, plactic silver. Cheaper on farbic softener, and reading glasses, even snack s. Try it yourself u will be glad u did

Parking was bad, almost had my car behind the store entirely. Not much was stocked. Its a new store that looks big bit inside is tiny and they dont have the selection of the older stores. Staff was nice though.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the only problem with Dollar Tree is that corporate doesn't send them enough stock so they can operate a successful store like they have in the past. That includes every Dollar Tree I've been in here in the area.

Wow, this place is awesome! Not what you'd expect from a dollar tree. Clean, well stocked with really nice items. This will be my go to Dollar Tree from now on!
