Had a really excellent experience at the store with an associate named Jordan. I wish I would’ve asked him his last name. He did an excellent job helping me find the right baseball equipment for my son. Took the time to unlock the batting cage so he could try out the bat before we bought it and spent time to steam and form my son’s new glove even talked some NFL with us. Like I said, I didn’t catch his last name, but I did see on his name tag that he was passionate about Youth Sports. Was the highlight of my week thanks for being passionate about your job kind and helpful. God bless you

I ordered Men’s Adidas white ultra boost for my boyfriend for Christmas. The confirmation order was correct and when it was deleivered, the email was correct. Come to open the package and we received Womens Nike pink and purple basketball shoes. Went to the store to return them and the gentleman never apologized for the mistakes the company made. Our only option was for a return and rebuy. We had to re-order the shoe again and he said there is no guarantee that this won’t happen again. We also had to pay full price when rebuying the shoe. Now it’s not here for Christmas and the mistake wasn’t our fault. I understand it wasn’t the stores fault but the staff showed no compassion or remorse or tried to make it right in any way.

I purchased a Nordic Track Treadmill on Oct 16th with estimated delivery Oct 30th. Delivery cost was 200, and on Oct 31st I contacted customer service, they had no scheduled delivery and they’d get back to me. After contacting customer service yet AGAIN and escalating to speaking with a manager did I find out there was no driver to deliver to my address and they were hoping and dreaming for a driver or that I would just cancel all together. Problem has not been solved and I have not received product that I paid for. Why allow me to purchase shipping for my address if you are unable to execute. At least give me a call and let me know instead of playing the run around and allowing me to call multiple times. You would expect better customer service when spending $1500.I wouldn’t recommend ordering anything that has to do with shipping.

It was our first time in the location and we were looking for a section. We asked three employees and they all pointed us to opposite directions. So it was fun walking around in circles Until we found what we were looking for on our own. When you ask somebody a question, they just ask somebody on the walkie that they wear the question, And whoever is on the other line or answers it .... But whoever that person was that they had no idea what they weren't talking about.Once we finally found the section we were trying on some head gear to get the right size & A lot of employees started walking around us, and it kind of made us feel like they thought we were trying to steal something.Very awkward experience but the store itself had a lot of options and was nice.

Customer service is sub-par. We ordered a $450 blue yeti cooler online and traveled 45minutes to pick it up. It was completely scratched up and no other blue one in stock. They had our email and phone number. Someone should have reached out and told us the product was damaged and asked if another color was sufficient. It's not. My husband wants blue and other stores have blue. The manager had the audacity to say "it's only scratched..." 😤 After I raised hell, he then offered 15% off. I'm not buying a $375 cooler either that's damaged! No thanks.

It's probably only the 3rd time I've been there but I like the store it has probably everything you want. The only problem is it's clear across town so unless they have something i want or more to choose from, color, size, or a lot cheaper for I'll shop a lot closer. 5-10 dollars isn't worth the drive. I just wished they had one one on the east or north side of Des Moines

The shoe deparment is a joke, and Jack treated me as if my concern did not matter until I asked for a manager. I initially waited 30 minutes and they forgot about my shoes so they had to rescan me into the queue to re-wait again.When I first asked for shoes I brought up a few options to see what I could even get in my size and Jack asked me if I only wanted them to scan a few since there was a long line. I just said I need to know which ones I can even choose from first in case you dont have my size. Asking questions like that makes me feel like you dont want my business in the first place. Finally he scanned them, (which took about 30 seconds) and then put me into the queue where I was forgotten about. I have no problem waiting but I do have a problem when other people are helped immeditately while I had been waiting longer. I also have a huge problem with being forgotten about while other customers who waited a few minutes were helped before me.Luckily after an hour, I asked for the manager and he finally came out with my shoes and offered 25% off. Changing from one star to two, thank you Ryan for listening to my cocerns and making things right.Drew also helped me very nicely at the register and gave me an even further discount for having to wait that long (with manager approval). Thank you for all your help, changing from two stars to three.I had no idea my concerns would actually be listened to!

Gail was great to work with. He was on top of customer service and helpful with trying to get us a bike. He even remembered my name when I came in a few days later. Although we did not end up purchasing a bike from there I was still very impressed with the way Gail helped us out.

Very very very pleased! The workers were very helpful and helped me find what I needed in record time! Specifically, Morgan, the young lady with a passion for running, was very helpful. She was very sociable and was able to aid me in locating the oddly specific piece of merchandise I was looking for. She was ever so polite and patient whilst assisting me. I didn’t have the opportunity to speak with very many other employees, but if they are all as helpful and polite as that Morgan girl, then I 100% recommend shopping there. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and honest opinion of a product you are buying, shop at Dick’s!

I purchased a $100 basketball not even 2 weeks ago with the 11.99 Protection Replacement plan. Unfortunately some people are malicious and my car was stolen over the weekend (the ball was in my trunk). I called the store and they told me there's nothing they can do about it because I don't have the physical copy of the ball to replace for a new one. I still have the receipt and I have my case number from the police to prove everything is legitimate. What's the point of a protection plan...

Came here to buy some super warm, waterproof gloves and snow pants. I couldn't find what I was looking for, and despite very obviously not finding what I need and getting more frustrated and upset by the second, NO ONE bothered to ask if I needed help, employees doing basically nothing wandered throughout the store walking past me numerous times and blatantly ignored me. I'll never attempt to shop here again. Don't count on checking out within any kind of a decent time frame either because that's not happening. These checkers have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD!!!

Staff walked along side me as I was walking past the front door as if I was going to steal. Associate with a hoodie on acting as if he’s was a customer speed up to walk past the front door. I only know because I worked in loss prevention. Just because I’m young black and shop expensive doesn’t mean I’m gonna steal. Racist. Bought 340 worth of merchandise.

Horrible experience. Nothing is organized by any metric i could think of. Just wanted baseball pants and cleets for my 8 yr old. Couldnt find any section dedicated to his size group. All mixed with big kids stuff. Nothing but highschool aged kids working and they are less than helpful. Cant blame them. Absolute dogsh!t corporate nonsense. Hate that place

**UPDATE** I was contacted by Store mgmt and they handled it immediately. Not as a reaction to this post but as a reaction to an internal survey they sent out. The unfortunate part in my mind was not a discrepancy in what I was charged. Mistakes happen. The issue was that their online customer service did so little to address. Thumbs up on the store's response. I will definitely be back. Also, the fact that there was not only an email survey sent out automatically after the purchase, but within a day of me submitting the survey they reached out to me. I really appreciate the places that don't just go through the motions. ***I went into Dick’s Sporting Goods today to purchase a chest protector for my son who is a catcher on the baseball team, as well as an athletic supporter with cup combo, and a pair of baseball pants. The only chest protector that they had was ridiculously overpriced so I went to Scheels sporting goods nearby to pick up that shortly after leaving Dick’s Sporting Goods. I did choose to purchase the baseball pants and the athletic supporter cup combo. The baseball pants had a purchase price listed on the rack and every single pair had a tag with the exact same purchase price of $35. When I got home I noticed that the price on my receipt, the price that I was charged, was $40. Five dollars more than what was listed on the tag of the pants. The athletic supporter cup combo is the exact same story. On the rack it was listed at $34.99 but was charged $39.99 and again, I did not catch it until I was home. I contacted customer service to see what my options were because it is a 45 minute drive to get to the store. Customer service suggested I drive back to the store in the next 14 days to try and price match. Otherwise I was out of luck. Not worth the drive and time to correct their mistake. I just will go to Scheels instead.

Good quality of merchandise for the size of the store, the staff and managers are all absolutely wonderful. A fair selection in different sizes, which is really nice. They stand behind the quality of their merchandise.A little disappointed that they are no longer going to sell hunting equipment, rifles etc., but I support their decision.

Placed an online order for football gloves with Dick’s because they had the best ETA.. website still shows today as ETA but the order hasn’t shipped yet. Customer service tells me that is correct that I would get an email when it ships with the correct eta.. same product available on Amazon but would have delivered a day later. In my area Amazon is never late.. buyer beware Dick’s ETA has a good chance of letting you down stay away from online ordering unless it’s in local stock.

Popped in for a quick pair of volleyball kneepads (for medical reasons). Store was clean and the AC felt great. The staff were helpful and courteous. Tho the price of the kneepads seemed outrageous ($35), I did get a 10% military discount.

I was looking for a pair of tennis shoes and couldn't find the correct size. The employee checked and said that there should be one pair available. She went to where they should be and didn't find them. She looked in one more place and found them. Great customer service!

Figure out a different system for trying on shoes Dick’s! Waited for 45 minutes to get a pair of cleats to try on. Dozens of people waiting and only two associates available to run to the back to get shoes. Hire more people!
