Both of our dogs (small curly doodle and a Wheaten Terrier) have had recent groom appointments. Staff was very helpful andShowed interest in our dogs and us. Answered all questions. The grooms were very good, nails clipped well, coats soft and smelled so good. Groomer even waited until pick up time to be sure how we wanted the doodles top knot pony tail and offered great advice in taking care of it. Excellent caring facility.We also have a kinder collar for both dogs. Our walks are much more enjoyable for both us and the dogs. They do not pull and are excited to go on walks again.

My husband and I always take both our dogs, Walter and Lou to Rock River. We're very pleased with their service. They gave Lou a bath and deshed the last time they were there and did an amazing job, Lou looked so handsome.

I took my dog there last month while we went on a mini vacation and meh. It smells really bad in the establishment but I just figured it's because there's a lot of dogs. But no, my dog came out of there after 3 nights smelling so bad. I didn't even want him in my car. It was disgusting. Worse than I have ever smelt. It's like they don't clean the dog rooms in between dogs. It was gross. So I wanted to pick my dog up at 3pm but we were running way behind. We got there at 7pm. They did text me just saying they'd keep him overnight again which I had already paid for another night anyways since it was after 10am. But I wanted to pick up my dog so bad because I missed him so much. So we went there anyways because there has to be someone there all the time right? Wrong. We went there, the door opened, the lights were off. I pushed the bell button, literally no one was there. I walked to the house that's right there to see if anyone was home because I assume those are the people that own the place, no one was home. Literally anyone could have came in and stole those dogs. Something could have been happening to one of the dogs and no one was there watching them. Smh. I won't ever be bringing my dog back. The only positive thing I can say is that all the girls I met that worked there were very nice.

Absolutely adore the staff and how they are with my dog! They are always willing to help and are great about communicating what's happening when your dog is there. When she's there for grooming they always do a great job!

Rock River is absolutely amazing. The take both cats and dogs which is almost impossible to find in my area. They are attentive about medications and make sure the critters get socializing. They also have a groomer come in who can give them a bath!

Great friendly people that explain the bill and are accommodating to owners. The smell in there is strong but they do their best to keep up on it. They board many dogs and Im sure its hard keeping every kennel as clean as can be but honestly I was surprised with how well they actually did. They also take dogs outside even ones who are not potty trained and help teach them to go outside. Great experience here would recommend.

Rock River Pet Resort does an amazing Grooming job!! Our toy poodle Rocket always looks fantastic when we bring home. You can tell the ladies absolutely love the animals and treat each and every one as their own.

Crosby came back well adjusted and happy, as always! Rock River treats him like their own, and it’s becoming home away from home when he can’t accompany us on our travels. His tail is always wagging and he’s happy to see the staff when we drop him off.

We've taken our corgi there for about 3 years now and he always comes home a happy dog - no depression or any indication from him that he wasn't treated well. Tara does an awesome job and we recommend her kennel whenever asked about boarding in this area.

The worst experience ever. Took my healthy dog there for 2 days.Went to pick him up and he was laying on a cold cement floor. Had to carry him out on a blanket. He was totally dehydrated.

When asked about the time to drop my dog off, Matty said early morning. As I arrived in the morning, the new "groomer" said that there would be a $10 charge for being late! She was very rude along with being out of her league. Don't trust the groomer
