I recently visited this ice cream shop and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The variety of flavors they offer is impressive, catering to every taste bud imaginable.I tried their cherry dole whip and the chocolate malt and they were absolutely divine – rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor! The quality of their ice cream is top-notch, and you can tell that they use only the finest ingredients.Not only is the ice cream delicious, but the ambiance of the shop itself is charming and inviting. It's the perfect place to catch up with friends or enjoy a sweet treat with family. The staff are friendly and attentive, making sure that every customer leaves with a smile on their face.Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a delightful ice cream experience. I had the privilege of visiting Waukee Ice Cream Shoppe with few of my colleagues and we all loved our experience! The shoppe is adorable and I loved all the cow print and pink. They had the cutest little tables for the kiddos to sit and enjoy their treats too. The ice cream was fantastic! I had a Anniversary Cake ice cream (perfect for anyone who loves a good yellow cake.) My colleagues had a Kit-Kat blitz, a pie shaker (made with real pie), and a strawberry Dole soft serve (gluten & dairy free)! Everything was an 11/10 and the staff was great! We also met the owner! She was wonderful and truly cares about her local community! We will definitely be going back soon! Gotta try the pumpkin pie ice cream!

I love Waukee Ice Cream Shoppe! They're truly a staple to the Waukee community and surrounding DSM metro. They have the TASTIEST ice cream and friendliest staff who work hard to maintain the lines for customers. They have so many flavor options and switch it up regularly, so you can always count on them to have an option for everyone, even the pickiest member of the family 😁 Treat yourself and grab yourself a scoop or two!

Found this local ice cream shop. Got there around 8pm, and there was quite a few people with ice cream sitting outside, and inside was a line to the door. They could really move the line though! Worth the wait! Lots of flavors to choose from. I’m a big fan of mix ins, and they made a monster cookie blitz PERFECTLY. Oh, and they definitely don’t skimp on the candy mix ins or size. Will return when ever I’m in the area!

The Waukee Ice Cream Shoppe is a local gem and a Waukee IA staple. Their flavors are fun, creative, and delicious. My favorites include the Playdough, Caramel Cold Brew, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Bliss. They also do events and have a sliding glass top freezer to store the ice cream on a hot day. They did an event with our office and it was a hit across the board. 10/10 recommend!

This is a great little ice cream shop, and it's definitely a recommendation to be on the list for your regular summer location to cool down with a tasty treat. It was recommended to me by a friend, and I was very pleased to have gone and I've been back many times since.

A very quaint shop that is obviously very popular. The soft ice cream is WONDERFUL! It is heavy cream and filling. Tons of options. The one with a homemade pie blended in is excellent. The portions are generous.

This is a great local option for ice cream in the western DSM metro area. Welcoming, with cute decor and a broad menu of choices, you will be sure to find something for you. I am particularly fond of their pie shakers, a vanilla milkshake with a piece of pie blended into it.

This and Home Sweet Cone are the best I've cream places in town.We like being in old part of waukee at the triangle. This is a good location. Very close for us too. The ice cream selection is great and staff are nice. Outdoor seating is good. We usually see them making sure tables are cleaned. Inside is a fun vibe with lots of cow decor.

I LOVE that this place does flavored soft serve! I love me some ice cream, and I love cotton candy ice cream, it's even better that I can get it in soft serve! My husband enjoys the hard pack and that he can get Thelma's ice cream sandwiches there! We love making the trip out here, wish we were closer!

What happened to their famous cookie dough sundae? It used to be amazing and the talk of anyone who had one. Ordered one last night and it was three balls of cookie dough covered in vanilla soft serve. Boring and tasteless for $5.50 plus tax. I like the small town feel of this place and the large number of choices. Just wondering why they changed what used to be the highlight of the menu. When I asked at the counter if it was different than in the past, about 4 staff stood there staring at me. Awkward.

The ice cream is good, but there are not enough people to serve you. Very crowded, because of lack of employee and management.I've been 3 times there and it was evening. One time we just wait 10 minutes at your drive thru window and ringed the bell 5 times and no one showed up!

Run of the mill ice cream reseller with generic cones. Save the trip and buy some homemade ice cream elsewhere, or just pick some up from any grocery store.Was disappointed that they didn't make cones fresh there, nor was the ice cream made there. Which questions, what's the point? Especially for the price.My rating would be 1 star if it wasn't for the service, which was alright.Save the cash for when you vacation, you'll find in-house fresh made ice cream with in-house freshly made cones in any resort town in America for far less.

Was way better in previous years. Unfortunately, like many other businesses struggling in this liberal economy, they have reduced their sizes and increased their prices. The cookie dough Sunday is my biggest disappointment. It was my son's favorite. We will still probably go from time to time because it is local. But it won't be a regular weekly treat for the kids as it has been in the past. 😕

NOT homemade ice cream or cones. Very disappointed. Not worth the price knowing that. The young woman working there did not even tell me the total but asked if i wanted to leave a tip. Not the best of experiences coming here unfortunately.
