The Staff in Waukee are absolutely the best. I use the drive up service and all of them are so fast, so helpful it’s so enjoyable going there. I accidentally ht one star after a pick-up and wanted to be sure to let everyone know they will take great care of all your grocery needs.

* Good location, large parking spaces, fair prices, great employees, good selection... a little amount of a lot of varying products.* Meat counter is good quality but high priced. Still, meat in general is high anywhere, so it's good to shop around, although it's FAR superior in quality to Hy-Vee.* Their rotisserie chickens taste better than other stores but are the same price & much smaller, seemingly half the size of Hy-Vee. Sometimes they're dry, but they do taste better. If you visit after 5pm, they are a couple of dollars cheaper, if there are any left. They don't usually have a lot any time of the day I've ever visited, so sometimes I have to go across the street to Hy-Vee anyway.* Produce is always good quality.* I like the newer store down the road better for selection & quality. Overall, a solid 4* out of 5.

Meat is alright-ish. Most of the food is high processed junk. Produce is largly not organic, so nutrient-less trash.We need a Trader Joe's in Waukee.

Today I shopped at Fareway in Waukee. I found the staff to be extremely friendly + helpful! The gentleman who bagged my groceries even pushed the cart to my car and unloaded the bags. This was only my 2nd visit to the store so perhaps it’s a customary courtesy. Very cool. Thank you!

High quality selection of beef and pork. Prices are fair but quality is exceptional. They also have really great sales. I also like that nearly everything is priced by the pound vs 2 for $10 and then you realize you are paying prime rib price for a chicken breast.. I really like the selection as I like to try different cuts of meat. Grocery has what I need. I just noticed today that a higher end salad dressing I purchased at a competitor was $2 less and it was not on sale.

Went to faraway today and needed to purchase something from behind the customer service deskStood there and 5 minutes without anyone coming to help. I then ask if anyone could help. They called for someone on the loudspeaker but no one ever came. My husband and I just walked out. Poor customer service.

I love Fareway, I feel like the place is clean, airy, my stuffy and stale. The employees are super friendly and always nice. Great place to go to, and not too big like when you are at a huge place, and you know you must get the last item but don't, because it's too far to walk there and back to check. Then finding your car. Fareway=A+++++++++

The store appears very clean. Every time I go there someone is cleaning. Usually has a good selection. Today there was some shelves empty but figured it was because we are expecting a large snow storm. It had everything that I needed though.

Smaller store that has all the basics. Downside for some is that they don't carry the variety of major brands as larger stores. They do have some major bands as well as their own. Meat department has carried a reputation for quality meats, they will custom cut meats on site. Purchases from floral department have never thrived for me, look great but I would skip it and pay more elsewhere. Produce is what you would expect. No on site bakery, but goods are offered. Prices are competitive couponsaccepted. Truth is, I am drawn to the friendly competition, for me, it's worth it.

They raised their prices independently on ham salad by 20% overnight. They obviously believe that Waukee customers don't care about prices and that they can get away with anything. Even the Clive store is lower prices. Do yourself a favor and avoid this store. Your pocketbook will thank you!

Fareway isn’t the fanciest store in town, but I have trust in Fareway’s people and practices. I recently purchased what I thought was fresh ground beef from Costco. After I opened the package I discovered that it was fresh meat wrapped around old meat. I know Fareway wouldn’t do this. I have a really disgusting photo, but I didn’t want to post it because people might not read the comments and think that it came from Fareway. Thank you, Fareway, for being trustworthy.

Good grocery store 👍 All fairways I have been in are always clean and employees always very helpful. The only grocery store left that I can recall will help you with your groceries out to your car. In all weather conditions. With smile on face 😂

Fareway is usually well stocked, clean and like their produce and, of course, their meat counter. The last 2 times they were out of several items in the meat department. Also more variety and sizes of cheese would be nice. I wanted some mozzarella, but didn't want a huge bag

I love this store! The people are so friendly and they still carry your groceries out to your car. They have the BEST meat counter! Their prices are way cheaper than hyvee and their produce always seems to last longer than Hyvee.

Good food, good prices, friendly people. They take my groceries to the car for me, and help me load them too. Not a big deal until it's raining cats and dogs, or there's a -15° wind chill.Love the fresh deli and meats.

Very nice store with good selection and fair prices. I am a frequent Fareway shopper but not impressed with the staff working on this particular Saturday. They were unfriendly to the point of being rude. I excused myself to walk past one gentleman who is part of the management team and he didn't even look up or respond. I called him on it and he did apologize. I told him that this was the reason I quit shopping at Hy-Vee.

Only place I goto for my meats. The staff is extremely nice and helpful! The meat department guys are the best! If I ask for something to be cut a certain way they have no hesitation of doing it and I love that

Love shopping at Fareway. Such great deals and clean and friendly. We love getting the fresh meat from the meat counter. The only problem I have is the fresh chicken salad. Usually it is very good, and we don't mind paying more for fresh. But my husband bought some lastnight and today when we made our sandwiches we were disappointed. The salad was runny and was more dressing and relish then chicken and it tasted terribly sweet to the point of hard to even eat it. Please go back to the origional way you were making it.

Friendly and relaxed, quality meat counter. I like the carry out assistance. Reminds me of the way customer service should be approached. We need to get back to the values and care of the customers.
