The worse store...$🌳 ALWAYS a wait!! Went yesterday 8/18 @ 2:30 ishA line half way down aisle!!!!1 old man cashier...omg soooslow!!! I set my basket of items down...and LEFT!!! 🤬This store needs addressed about the wkers and should have 2 cashiers ALL the time!!!! Pretty sad for a growing town of Waukee!!!

I’ve gone in a couple times never had a problem, both times “Bear” was my cashier, very nice and respectful, greeted me nicely both times asked questions and took great care of the stuff considering some stuff was fragile. Only flaw was that the store is pretty messy and always has boxes out or is dirty. But granted great place.

Horrible customer service. “Bear” was the employee behind the register. The woman in front of me had a basket full of craft items. He carelessly dumped the basket onto the conveyor belt. I was shocked. When it was my turn to check out I also had a basket full of items, some of which were fragile. “Bear” dumped the items into the conveyor belt then tossed the basket into the cart next to him and said “lazy f**ks”. What an incredibly rude and ugly spirited old man. I’ll make the trip to WDM next time.

I really, enjoy shoping here. Staff is so nice, andfriendly, and what you need is almost always in stocks. Nice place to drop in real quick if you just need 1 item, or 25!!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! I would give zero stars if I could. I love dollar tree! I haven’t had any negative experiences at any dollar tree’s until tonight. An employee named “Elizabeth” was following my mother and my daughter all around the store, while I was shopping for other things. My daughter has been taught to put things back after she gets done looking at them to see if she would like to spend her money on the toy. Elizabeth would keep coming up and telling my daughter to put the toys down and making it to the point where she wanted to cry cause she couldn’t figure out what toy she wanted because the “mean” lady was following her and not letting her look. So finally when I got what I needed, I got in line with my mother and my daughter. I tried to use my debit card for my things but I totally forgot I used my card for dinner that night. So it declined. Elizabeth told me it declined really snappy. So like what any other person would do, I got my phone out to check my balance to see what in the heck happened. Elizabeth told another employee to open up their lane cause “she didnt want 10 people waiting in her lane, while she(me) checks her bank balance cause her card declined.” Really loudly! I thought it was rude but I shrugged it off. So by that point my mother was pretty upset at how Elizabeth was acting so she got out of line and was waiting by the door for me. I told my mother to just ignore it and come and buy her things she needed. My mother said “no, I felt that was really rude of her” and then Elizabeth said “Well the customers behind you thought you were being rude” I looked at Elizabeth and said in a calm manner, “well, not everyone is perfect.” Elizabeth rolled her eyes and turned away from me basically tossing my bag of things towards me. She also just assumed I wanted to buy a 0.01 bag when I did indeed bring my own but did not get the chance to use them. I went to my car and cried after this encounter. I am the type of person to be respectful and nice to everyone and I feel her behavior tonight was extremely disrespectful and poor taste.

I normally don't have a problem here, everything is generally ok. Today older cashier didn't greet me, rolled her eyes at what was bought, despite me sorting cold and dry and cleaning supplies she mixed it all together. I'm glad i made sure the laundry lid was tightly closed before she slammed it in, crushing the ice cream bars beneath it. No wonder they took the survey off the receipt. I'll go back to coming in later in the evening: much friendlier then.

I really love Dollar tree, but with delivery being a problem for EVERYONE, ITS DIFFICULT for every store to keep stocked, including Dollar Tree, but, it's the same each place you go. Very hard to find everything you need, expecially at one place, that would be AMAZING!!! AND at a decent price?? Will THAT EVER HAPPEN AGAIN????

Payed for 10 items only got 8. Clerk who waited on me went on break. Asked another clerk for help- she claimed she was the one who waited on me and said she gave me 10 items. It was only 60 seconds I hadn't even gone out the door. I would know a tall blonde from a fat b-

This one is the closes to my house but I hate when I have to go to it. I try to go to the one in Urbandale when I can. The employees at the one in waukee are horrible. They are rude and disrespectful to customers. There is a lady that works there she never smile and she always makes me feel like she wishes people woundnt come in, like ringing people up is so hard. She is sort and heavy set, I never get her name. I work in customer service for most of my life and if my employees acted like the way some of these employees did, they would not have a job. There is also a tall guy in there and he is just as rude. I have seen him roll his eye when customers come in. They seem to hate there jobs, I mean I feel like that at times to but I would never act the way they do. Also don't go in there with a coupons cause they have no clue how they work. They will also make u feel bad for having them. Sorry but times are hard and if I can save anything I will. And they should never make someone feel as if it's bad to be using them. I hope they get new employees at this location, I will just start going to Urbandale more often. At least there they have good customer service.

The best Dollar Tree Ive been to in a while. I live in Des Moines, so the 30 min drive was well worth! They had lots of new products my other dollar trees did not have

This store is a good place to get odds and ends like greeting cards, cleaning supplies, and miscellaneous groceries. It's usually a little messy, but it's a dollar store, so what can you really expect? We will continue to shop here often.

I normally love dollar tree... but this one... this one was super dirty and just looked like it had been destroyed all day long and not cleaned up once. They older lady working that night was extremely rude and I’m 90% high on something. She was just nasty inside and out. Not coming back to Waukee.

1 star. There is no way to explain the disrespect that the workers give, the store is in horrible shape and the service is terrible. I came in to get something the other and when i was checking out, the cashier was asking very disrespectful questions and being very rude, i kept it plain and left.

Bought a balloon at 4PM on Friday. By Saturday morning it would not even float. I brought it back at 9 when the store opened. Linda said they will not guarantee the balloon and she was not going to replace it. When I asked what the options were, she suggested that I could buy another. I told her that I did not think that would ever happen.

The location in Waukee, IA is not my favorite. I visited there today for a few groceries and the cashier first proceeds to flip my basket sideways, flinging all of my things everywhere. Then decides it's a good idea to blow her nose repeatedly and continue to hold the tissue in her hand that she's grabbing my food with. Absolutely disgusting. I won't be returning to this location.

Saturday, 2/2/2013This morning I arrived at 9:04am to your Waukee location to find the doors locked and four other customers waiting in their cars for the store to open. Finally at 9:12 the doors were unlocked by a white male with a beard. No apoligy was givin for his tardiness. These times are off of my mobile Android, timed by the world clock and are precise to the second. After finding what I was looking for, a spray bottle for misting plants I walked up to the registers and asked, "which one was open?" The answer I got with attitude was neither and that it would be another 15 minutes til he could ring up my purchase. His excuse? "I have a migrane headache and if I was in his shoes you'd know what it's like". Seriously!!!I am the 1st asst. manager at a very respectable grocery chain here in the Des Moines area and this BS excuse would never be accepted! Especially when compared to my clock in time of 4am. Most of us have medical issues. I have my own, MS much worse than the simple migrane...

Very disappointed. The place is nice but the people that works there are not. The cashier was very rude and impatient. I also asked one personnel for the key to the toilet and she just told me to look for it in the Balloon area. Not coming back there again just gonna go to other dollar tree than there.

Was just here today and I was impressed at how clean and organized the store was in comparison to other Dollar Tree locations. The staff working were helpful and friendly even as they were trying to work on other projects.

Good selection of products, quality varies, keeping in mind- everything is $1.00. You can find good deals on name brands, great place to stock up on your favorite full size candy bars, toiletries, OTC off brand meds, foods.

Inexpensive items like balloons, greeting cards, common medications - all good items to get here (as with any dollar store) as opposed to other local retailers that make quite a margin on such small goods. Usually only one person at the register, so don't be in a hurry.

Their hours say 10pm and I showed up at 8:54pm and the rude lady said you don't have time we're closing. When I said it says 10pm she just snarled.
