I was visiting Waterloo, Iowa the other day and stopped into the local Home Depot. Look at this awesome Veteran’s wall they have! What a wonderful way to pay tribute to your employees who serve or have served our country. I wish I saw this in more stores! Kudos to management! Thank you, Veterans!

A long time customer of ours wanted a specific door from Home Depot. We ordered it online and when it came it was not the correct door. So Home Depot reordered the door and when it came it was still not the correct door. Needless to say I will never be ordering another door from Home Depot again. When we asked them to reach out to the manufacturer about the issue they said, "We don't have their number on file, we can try to order it again and hopefully it doesn't happen again." Come on Home Depot, you can do better.

Had carpet installed. The installer didn't even stretch the carpet so it started to buckle and show bumps right away. Home Depot had set appointment to install carpet. I had all the furniture moved and they never showed up or cancelled. Terrible experience!

I’d like to shout out to my Waterloo iowa home depot they are amazing. Keta knows be first name that’s awesome. Yesterday and today store adventures, yesterday was 5 gallons of paint Maria in the paint sept was amazing never worked with her before but she is great. Usually I see Darren or Chad or Ellen, I was alittle irritated with James as I asked him to please put my white paint in my pro perks, which he didn’t. So I spent more time trying to get the correct paint. Larry helped me today with wood cutting. He was great to talk to except just don’t like him saying things about other employees. Then this is not something I really want to share but for the first time I had a bad experience, it was when I checked out. I had two not one two carts full of stuff, the computer check out was erroring so I thought it might be my card as I got a new one so I asked Lynn if I could push my cart out and unload and come back in so I only had one cart to push out, I even said could u come with me she was Very rude snotty The worst part is SHE acted like I was stealing!!!!!!! So I went out to my car got my new card and Amanda helped me with awesome customer service!! Today so it’s VERY rare I get to shop with the man that taught me so much but I did shop with my dad today I’m always telling him how amazing the customer service is here. Dan helped me cut wood today, Maria helped get me more paint, and the new paint guy Maxwell was there doing a great job as well. Check out time me and my dad were checking out and guess what Lynn was right up in my business, I was irritated again with her!! So I said I’m NOT A STEALER and I’m again back today so then she processes to tell me she didn’t imply I was stealing uhmmmmm yes u did! U wouldn’t like that customer service if the tables were switched. So she proceed to try to makeup for what she did yesterday uhmmmmm nope I give two chance too everyone and she’s out of chances I will NOT speak to her again if she’s in the self check I will check out with the wonderful ladies like Chealse or the pink haired sweet lady or the long brunette lady at the customer service desk!!! Thank u to all the other amazing employees who have helped me with my projects ur amazing!!!!! 5/924 today was another great adventure at the store. Keta is amazing and I met a lady at the service desk can’t remember her name she had glasses and was African American very very nice lady and knew her job! Then I went to check out and Xora helped me she was amayas well thank you everyone!!Tara ♥️

If you want a tool box got online to home depot n buy it, they are alittle cheap n much cheaper than harbor freight. I gave 1500.00 for both boxes. 71 inch bottom and 56 in top.

Contractor pickup blocked off. Had large order no help to be found. Customer in front of me building deck had 86 boards. I had 6 pieces of sheetrock and insulation batts. No help loading anything. We asked for help from Contractor cashier, to unblock contractor pickup and loading.Nothing chains stayed no one came to help. Had to carry my stuff over curb to my trailer. Other customer pushed his wood load around to other doors then loaded himself. People in store unmotivated to help, and loading area for big stuff blocked won't unlock. I'm going across street to menards to finish my project. Which is an entire kitchen remodle floors cabinets counters. Wish i wouldnt have bought ceiling supplies there already.

I just don't like the way it's laid out and how so many employees are walking around and see you struggling to find something and do nothing until they hear you cussing to a friend on the phone about how the only reason you're there is because of a Christmas gift card.... Otherwise it would be Menards.

Waterloo Home Depot is awesome! I bought 2 gallons of paint online for pickup and the girl forgot to put one of them in my car. When I got home I called and talked to the manager and told him I'm an amputee and I get out once a week and there was no way I could get back and pick it up. He sent one of his worker's at 8:30pm to deliver my paint. They were both so friendly and accommodating. This is now my go to store! Thanks guys!!

I stopped in to check out some flooring. I was able to find what I needed. There was an older gentleman that stopped and asked if I needed any help, I told him I was just looking at this time. The man then said "well that's the best part, looking is free!" Made me chuckle and I thanked him for asking if we needed anything. I was very appreciative of his assistance!

I use to love shopping here but never again. A Home Depot employee began being really rude to me and confrontational. It was embarrassing and belittling. Sorry Home Depot but you just lost a very valuable customer.

Normally I like Home Depot, service, products etc. This last time I ran into an employee who just didn't care and that is being nice. I asked for assistance finding a product I saw online and in stock at this location. I was told bluntly that I was wrong without this employee checking anything and then he walked away. I found the product 15 feet away from where I was standing 5 minutes later. Either there just isn't a decent employee pool available or management is lacking. I did get excellent service at the big M across the street that same night.

The store is spacious and has lots of items for your needs. We were struggling to find the item we needed, and someone was able to look it up and tell us exactly where it was. We really appreciated their time and their help, and we would come back if we needed something else!

They must have thought I looked suspicious. As soon as I scanned my first item the checkout machine immediately said "customer needs assistance" They purposely caused the self checkout to mess up so the employee had to come talk to me. One star because the employee I talked to was nice enough.

Staff is usually hard to find, pricing, cleanliness, and quality is usually fairly good however. Biggest downfall is the customer service they provide. Called into the corporate office to ask about more services that home depot as a whole offers and was told I was going to be put on a brief hold, for over an hour i sat on hold listwning to the same recording over and over and was then hung up on instead of being answered again. And that's after a $1,700.00 purchase.After all is said and done, everything has been resolved but not without being quite a headache. Probably will shop elsewhere for larger items from now on.

Will be shopping at Menards. Lowes, or ABC from here on out. Spent hours and hours getting window prices and an order ready , only to get down to the payment and they changed the quote thousands of dollars. Solutions to the problem was to drive over to ABC supply and give them $13,000 of business.

Never again....I needed a new dishwasher and the particular model I wanted was not in stock, so I ordered it. There was no option to ship to store, so it had to be shipped to my home. After placing the order online, I was sent an email confirmation stating I would be notified later of the delivery date, and time.Approximately 2 weeks later, I was called in the evening and told my dishwasher was to be delivered the following day, just a few hours away. I need more notice than a few hours to take time off of work, so I called to make alternate arrangements. The Home Depot was anything but helpful. It's almost as if they go out of their way to make the entire experience as inconvenient as possible. I was told I could arrange another delivery, but they could not give me the exact date or time of the next attempt until the night before, giving me no notice to be able to take the time off. This is simply unacceptable. I have to be able to provide some notice in order to take the time off and be there to accept delivery. I was then asked if there was a day I would for sure be home to take delivery. I said yes, Sunday. But of course they don't deliver on Sunday's. I asked if it would be possible to ship the the dishwasher to the store so I could pick it up at my convenience, and they again, said no. They never gave me a reason why? I was only asking them to ship it to one of their own stores, but apparently, that's too much to ask. I asked if I had to be there to accept delivery. Can they just leave it? Not ideal but they refuse to work with me at all. They again said no. Someone had to be there. What about my son? Is he acceptable? They said yes, long as he is 18. Sure, that works, I'll make the arrangements.The following day, my son was at my house waiting for the dishwasher. The delivery guy ID'S him....After the long, drawn out, exasperating conversation I had with them the night before, they made no mention of needing ID'S. And my son, being the irresponsible young adult that he is, didn't have one. So I was forced to walk out on my job, and race home to catch the delivery guy and sign his invoice. Of course, I was not required to show him my ID. Some rando that just shows up last minute in a pickup. But the person waiting at the house for delivery had to show one? I was already waiting weeks, so who knows when the next attempt would be made. I felt I had no choice. Never again. At least, not with Home Depot. If they don't have what I'm looking for, I'll shop elsewhere. Their home delivery can eat a d*ck.
