Clean enough for a warehouse. We had to search, take two trips around , to find something really cheaper than buying at Aldi or just weekly specials at regular stores. Shopping carts available, the one staff member visible was very friendly

I use to like this place. Stopped today and picked up only a couple items. Their prices have gone way up on expired and damaged items. I am not willing to pay more for something that is expired. The store was a mess' never seen it so bad. It is like the owners don't care about the place anymore. This is my last time in this place. I will miss it.

I like this place and it is a good place to get deals. Some of their items are so far past expiration though that they really should not be selling them. I had bought calcium chews that were from 2021expiration. I can tolerate an off taste but it was too gross. I had bought 2 at about $5 each and tossed both. We drove 2 hours to shop so I cannot just stop by. One item I bought last year they are still selling ( mouthwash no label). Some of it just needs to be tossed or put in $5 misc boxes that similar stores often put super expired items in. We know that most items are expired but they need to do the bins because people will not comeback after many items are unusable.

Amazing deals you can't get anywhere else. It's kind of like a thrift store: you never know what you'll see there! Maybe some grails, maybe some stale chips. Who knows?! I love going to this place for treating myself to dope specialty vegan, organic, protein-rich food (which can get expensive in real grocery stores). Protein bars are plentiful here, and cheap! I will say that you must go in with caution when you're unsure if something is actually good to eat. 90% of the time, it's fine but you can't buy blindly like you can in a supermarket. Treat every item like produce, check for damage.

Calm, mellow place to shop for deals on a few general merchandise and shelf stable grocery items. Rather quite a bargain on select items, that you will come to find, being marked with the generously low-prices as they are. In my opinion, while out on errand, it would definitely make good practice to stop by the local surplus store BEFORE your routine grocery shopping. Saving pennies will add up and every dollar saved is absolutely something to feel great about! 😊3 star rating: Because there seems to be a decent stock of merchandise, but with such an overabundance of some items, this decreases the actual variety to choose from. More attention could be applied to checking the merchandise (ESPECIALLY consumable products...) more frequently for any packaging damage, leaks, & potential spoilages before their expiry. Expiration dates should be current-to-date by calendar. To promote smaller numbers in loss prevention, anything that is precariously close dated to expire should probably be pulled off the shelves, put out on display close by the checkouts/near the exit, marked down cheap for a quick sale. Salvaging some profit intake, at least, is better than a total loss. 🤷‍♀️Shoppers: Definitely shop here regularly.Surplus Grocery: To seriously highten the customer retention for your business, be more proactive. Even gradually implementing simple improvements will create some much needed allure. 💯

Very friendly people good products at a fair price. Yes the boxes maybe out of date but the products can be good still for up to 8 months after the date on the box. Remember if it says use by date its absolutely expired, but sell by /best by dates are used by manufacturers to make stores buy more product from them and the products are usually still good for 6 to 8 months after the sell /best by dates.

I got a few things from here but I honestly was a bit disappointed as I thought there was gonna be alot more there than I saw. So for me, it's not worth the drive really but I am glad I stopped to check it out.

Great place to buy snacks! Many items priced at 30 or 50 cents. I bought several items that were past their best by date and only one was noticeably stale.

My son and I came across Surplus Grocery coincidentally on the way home and we couldn't have been more happy with the place.The attendant was cordial, kind, and reflected a sense of general pride in the ability to offer such useful products for such a great price!The atmosphere was clean and organized with a variety of items, food and homeewise.--Vitamins are so expensive that usually I cannot afford to buy them but at Surplus Grocery I was able to provide prenatal vitamins and then daily multivitamins and probiotics for both my son and me!!--

My aunt and I visited this place for the first time and I have to say they have a lot of different things.I did notice some candy that expired back in 2019. But mostly chips were dated in July and candy bins full of smashed candy .I think they should just let ppl get a bag full for a few dollars to get rid of it.I did purchase paper towels 6 pack for $6.99 and a few other things.We would definitely go back tho!

I was there right at 10am. I walked up to the doors at 10:03, the doors were still locked. To me that's not a huge deal, but they were still locked at 10 minutes later.

They have a wide: variety at things. Make sure you look at this expiration date. Like most surplus stores they don't know what is in the boxes when they get them. I will tell you toy can find some REALLY good bargains
