Great place! But I do have one suggestion if you guys could make an app public that when an item is on the floor it automatically shows us what is what it is and for how much just so when I visit there I don't spend too much time there to not find anything that is interesting to me personally. And that the categories as well so me and others don't search the whole store to try to find that certain item. And when an item is purchased then it automatically takes it off of the live catalogue. Now I understand if this is too much to ask that's fine but it's was just a suggestion that I had for a while.

Just went there today for the very first time , I found clothes that I would have loved to get! But due to the older lady working in the back dressing rooms, I didn’t get anything. She was being completely rude and yelling at everyone, and yelling at them to go. Never will I go there again

Check your receipts! Overcharges $58 from computer glitch!!!I made a purchase of over 25 items, clearance and full price. The cashier confirmed each items final cost while ringing me up and they were all ringing the correct 80% and all full price was 20% that day. I paid the total. But when I looked at the receipt at home, I had been charged almost full price for the clearance items. I had to drive back to waterloo, wait for a supervisor, and she concluded that the register did an override because it was a Saturday and it gave me 10% off everything instead of the 80 percent off the clearance. So if you've ever bought clearance on a Saturday or a sale day you have been charged only 10% etc off instead of 80%; you can submit your 5 minute report to BBB website to take action for your past purchases. The supervisor was unhelpful and made no store apology for the $58 mistake, drive I had to make, and made no mention of correcting the override errors in the system. I don't know how many times I've taken my daughter's here and told them to buy whatever they want on the clearance rack and we've rung up over 50 items at a time; there's a good chance I've been getting ripped off for years and purchasing their old out of season items at full price, and remember over 3 months they don't even give the consigner their money so they're charging full price on clearance, in turn ripping off the consigner as well as the customer

I have been extremely frustrated with the consignment process. I’m at the point of closing my account and calling it good. It’s not worth the money or the hassle. I hope they remember without consignors, you have nothing.

I’ve been a Stuff shopper/consigner since this location opened, and I don’t remember having issues until the last year or two. From a shopper perspective everything is good, but from a consigner perspective it’s frustrating when they literally never have totes for the consigners to use. I’ve been in multiple times and it’s always like an hour wait, for like a year now, so I purchased a black bag and one time they either lost it or donated it when I came to pick it up within the time frame they asked me to. The manager just said he’d keep looking. We came to a solution, but I had to suggest it. I brought my black bag in last week, loaded it in front of staff, set it on the counter and in the like 5 minute time frame nobody ever told me they were not taking black bags. The people at the counter didn’t say anything to me. I then shopped for like 15-20 minutes and nobody ever told me or called my phone that they were not taking black bags. Next afternoon rolls around and they text me telling me to come get my bag because they are not taking black bags. I feel like they could just have offered kept a few days until they were taking them again. Instead I had to make a 30 minute drive there to pick it up. Customer service is not top tier. In my opinion they need to get it together and figure out a better system for consigners, or hire more pricers and processing staff in the back to make things move along quicker, they are in the consignment business, after all. It never used to be this way.

Consigned over 100 games, the majority collectible and 40-60 years old, all in good vintage condition and complete. Stuff employees deemed 25 of them unsellable before they ever hit the floor, because they were bent up or "dated". Clearly someone hasn't been trained to know what vintage, and good condition is.

I agree that since new ownership the prices have gone up. Ex. I brought items in this week and had to purchase another black bag for 4$. I had been unable to retrieve my last bag on the day they required due to family emergency in January. That bag cost roughly 1.68? Of the 10 quality items I dropped off in January they accepted 2. They didn’t even accept my best items. Makes me wonder if the help is helping themselves. They keep 60% of each sale which seems to be exorbitant. Without consigners, where would this company be? Unable to retrieve my bag in January by due date I purchased a 4$ bag this week and dropped off my 10 items on Wed. Now I am concerned if when I receive their email to pick up my black bag I will be able to meet their deadline. Have to plan my trips to Waterloo around that email. I question if it’s worth it? Under previous ownership I’d find treasures each time. Recently my trips have been not so successful. Are consigners going elsewhere…I wonder!

Have good things there. One problem I have had was with electronic things. I got a couple of them there and when I went to use them they didn’t function properly. A shoe polisher I got there the on, off button didn’t work. Another was an air popper. Otherwise all the other things are very good and the prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly and willing to help with problems. Getting to know many of them. Since new owners took over the prices have gone up considerably and the selections have dwindled. Things that I always looked forward to looking at are no longer available. Some items that they have, you could buy new for the same price as the used ones. Some of the items are in bad condition also. Can get things like that at goodwill and not pay what you pay there. Will not be going back anytime soon. Very disappointed in the way they rearranged the store and took away many items that I liked. Think the new owners are just greedy or are paying the co-signers more than they used to

I've been a consigner and customer here for a few years and have been satisfied overall. Once you figure out their system, you can get more items accepted and a decent return. The employees are friendly and doing their best pushing through thousands and thousands of items each day.

Very disappointed about my experience at Stuff Etc. today. Brought in items for a tote, was told it would be about a 10 minute wait. When I returned after 10 minutes, the store employee told me I needed to add my name to the list. Wish he would’ve asked for my name when I first got there. Instead, I waited an additional 15 minutes to then be told that there were about 3 people in front of me yet. Ended up waiting in total about 40 minutes to take 1 tote. Customer service was terrible and they did not apologize whatsoever. I will not be taking my clothes here anymore. Would not recommend this place to anybody.

At the main store I listened to the girls in the check out discussing throwing up, eating to throw up. When addressed a mumbled sorry from 1 of them.I asked for management. Apparently he saw nothing wrong with it. And incouraged me not to return.While the prices were great, customer service was terrible.The furniture store next door has always had amazing customer service and have never had an issue there.

I frequent this store and would give them higher marks if not for one particular irritating thing: They started pushing dates out on an increasing amount of items. Don't get me wrong, it's their store they can do what they want so I don't have to agree with their practices but to me that's deceptive. The concept is simple you bring in items, they process them price and date them and put them out for sale. The way it's supposed to work is if your item doesn't sell after 60 days the price goes down 50%. After 90 days it goes down 80%. However we have found dates pushed out well into the future as far as the date they were processed. This prevents them from having to mark those items down until much later. For example we have found items dated into Feb that are currently on the floor in Jan. That would mean instead of getting marked down in March they won't go down until April. Since we go frequently enough we notice it much more so now than when we first noticed it months ago. Annoying. That said this is definitely an interesting place to go to find unique items and they do a good job of keeping most of the garbage off the shelves. Beware of their various return policies though they are not exactly customer friendly. Granted, this is a secondhand store so it's not going to be the same as a retailer. It's a good place to bring 'stuff' when you don't want to have a garage sale. With their 60% cut if your items do sell at their prices you will be making garage sale money anyway.

Dropped off 4 items and one of which I was told -not sure if we can take this due to covid - we will call you and let you know if we accept it (This was a higher dollar item mind you) Did not receive a phone call nor an email of which items were accepted. Few days later followed up in person asking about this item. The employee said yes I know what you are talking about let me check to see if I can find it - Then after asking a few people the story changed to nope sorry we don't have this - Who did you talk to when you dropped it off - We donated your item - Ask to speak to a supervisor and was told that's me - Sorry nothing we can do "it says on the paperwork" I'd highly suggest avoiding this place if they want to backtrack on their story midway through a conversion. I've been consigning here since the store opened and will never go here again nor recommend it after today.

First time in this store required focus and attention to details. I did find that similar items are grouped together. Several sections leaned towards collectibles. It could be possible to find some things of bygone days if you take your time.

I would not recommend stuff store to anyone. I took 3 full totes in and they threw away one tote that they said had mold I noticed no mold when I took it in. They stated they donated one tote because Items don't sell well. The 3rd tote they only listed 6 items Out of 3 totes they only kept 6 items to sell. I had alot of nick naks that were antiques and collectables that they just gave away instead of trying to sell them or give me a call. I would not recommend them to anyone! I am very disappointed. Angry would be more correct. If I wanted to just donate the stuff I would have.

Used to be a really wonderful place to shop and consign. Now the selection of merchandise is unreliable and their consignment practices have degenerated into an obscure moving target of new rules and poorly designed practices. The new owners are not particularly dedicated to their sellers OR buyers. Prices are up significantly in an effort to bring in more cash, but many overpriced items languish on the shelves long enough until they bring half or even 20% of their original price. Now they donate (even if you select do not donate) your rejected stuff AND your purchased reusable Stuff bag if you don't get there as soon as the rules du jour dictate. You'll be ahead if you donate and shop at Goodwill...

Shameless return policy. Surely, I can understand all sales final, yet when an item breaks as I'm walking to my truck with it, shouldn't I at least get in store credit? I agree with other reviews, staff is pushing out dates to delay mark down schedules. It just seems dishonest. Also, the store is becoming a large used clothing outlet. Disappearing are the kitchen ware, dishes and glasss. Gone too are the candles and small electronics. I tried several times to call their local number and just received an answering machine. Place is going down hill

A manager fired a women, after yesterday he put his hands on her, no employee stepped in or did not report the weird manager. No wonder Stuff etc is getting bad reviews because the wrong people are working there.

Cashier made me and my friend very uncomfortable, making incredibly wild comments about his “baby momma” and much more. After that there are times both me and her go into the store and will want to check out, but see him and put our stuff back and leave. YIKES

It's pretty frustrating that every time I stop in (and check the website and FB page ahead of time which doesn't mention anything) that "they aren't taking consignment items" that day". This has happened numerous times in a row now for months. At this rate, I'm just going to take my items to Goodwill because it's not worth the hassle of hauling things back and forth because they can't communicate properly.

Fav 2nd hand store. So many nice options. Clothes, housewares, furniture, artwork, tools, games, electronics and accessories. Pleasant staff and decent deals. It's the 2nd of April and they had some items tagged with dates in May. So technically the clothes don't get to 60 days until they've been around 90 days.. smh. Still love the place.

Must wear a mask (at this time), jewelry corner has the most A/C, otherwise it's pretty warm, so make sure your mask is breathable. Lots of new items on shelves! Drop-off policy has changed, but Drop-off desk personnel are extremely helpful and polite.

Stuff is the best consignment store for anything. I recently moved to a different state and it does not have a consignment store as amazing as stuff. Honestly, they have helped me immensely, especially when I have decided to get rid of items and clothes that didn't fit and didn't need anymore. They are fair, they are organized, and they are extremely kind and respectful. I still use Stuff even though I live on the opposite side of the country. Thank you STUFF!

So i brought my 24 hr black bag in with new clothes an used clothing made sure I washed and dried them. stuffed my 24 hr black bag full an brought it in. I never received a email with my items listed an prices. I called to check to see if it was done they said yes, so I go pick up my bag an they didn't even go through it! i showed one of the employees and she said she could put a tag on the item an if I would like to try again I could bring my stuff back in. Why in the heck would I try again when it took alot of time to go through an bring in nice stuff! So I return to my car and read the slip they tape on my 24 hr black bag it said they had called me an with 2 different dates but I had to call to check on my stuff! Not to mention that I've had jewelry stolen that's why I only bring in clothing my black bag has been stolen twice that's why they put the bags behind the counter 🤔 just horrible

I like Stuff Ect. They are clean and well organized. They had a lot of the things I was looking to purchase. The store is clean and well maintained. But some prices are a bit high I think. Staff is kind and courteous but a bit slow at times.
