Some of the stuff at ReStore in Waterloo is affordable. Of course, you need to keep in mind that most of the stuff is used & often 'not' gently used. What surprised me the most was the new appliances, including washing machines & refrigerators. The price they had on them seemed extortionate. There wasn't really much of a description on them or any useful details. Maybe it's me, but if I'm going to spend in excess of $1100 dollars I would play it safe & purchase big ticket items at a nearby lumber yard, Best Buy, or appliance store. I kind of thought the purpose of ReStore was to build homes or rehabing them while keeping them affordable using volunteers to keep the cost down. I was under the impression that ReStore sold any extra material or donated stuff at a reasonable price, so it was a win-win. It's hard to understand how they attract volunteers with their current strategy. Now, if you want to see some better quality & cleaner items, I encourage you to visit the Cedar Rapids ReStore. It's so much better.

I visited the habitat for humanity re-store today. It is a fun and very useful place to shop. And especially if you shop on a budget. Items are donated, checked out and put out for sale. Almost anything is available for sale at extremely reasonable prices. I bought a hanging light fixture today for $9.00. it's quite elegant. If you haven't been there yet, give it try and see for yourself.

This store is so amazing. They have some of the best furniture and bedroom chests of drawers. I got a old wooden rocking chair and a little 2 tier shelf that is heavier than a full sized table now a days. This store has dishes to plumbing, electrical, paint, counters and tops. It is an awesome store you can get home improvement material for way cheaper than Menards or retail store. Now you have to check regularly there as they get new different stuff everyday all day. This is a plus for our community from habitat for humanity. Thanks you guys this store is wonderful.

We took our recliner in, and right away one of the employees came right up and got it out of the pickup. Very friendly! This is a great place!

Keep an eye out on this store you can get some fantastic bargains, from new parts to hard to find relics. We have had windows doors and other bits new in original packaging and found glass lamp shades from some old lamps we couldn't get elsewhere.

This is a great place to come get building supplies, extra electrical receptacles, furniture, tools, hardware and much much more. It's great to see these items repurposed and reused. And at the same time helping a worthy organization.

Love coming here to see everything that they have - always find something neat or a good sale. Today when we stopped in it was cabinet fronts for 10c cents a piece. Also, found some good interior/exterior paint. Great place to go for craft needs.

I check this store whenever I'm near it. You never know what you will find. Couches and tables one week and old door hinges and paint the next. They keep inventory constantly changing.

I have nothing bad to say about this store because the reason it exists is so righteous. I go frequently just to wander through and see what new treasures they have acquired. I always see something that's nostalgic at least. And I've found some pretty cool stuff more than a few times. Sometimes the pricing feels a bit inconsistent but that could be due to the nature of how they came about that particular item. Again, no complaints just an observation. At the same time, I have found just as many items that were fairly and consistently priced. Do be aware that returns are allowed under certain circumstances but for in-store credit only. Store is kept tidy and well organized considering the nature of the products they sell.

I was glad I stopped in. Friendly staff and q large selection of items to rebuild almost anything when it comes to building a home or refurbishing one. I bought some cheap new paint during this visit.

I've been in many times and the employees are always nice. When you have something big or heavy they always offer to help you load it in your truck too. I've bought several things, mostly furniture, and intend to keep going back.

I've been very pleased with our new ReStore. The folks are very friendly, and it provides a great service to our area. I've always been a big fan of Habitat for Humanity, and have volunteered for service projects. Now I'm taking advantage of good deals on a variety of items I need for myself and for church projects. I've purchased things from a pallet of hardwood shorts, to lighting fixtures and used tools, and never been disappointed. Thanks to the entire staff and group of volunteers!

My friend and I love to stop in here when we go Thrifting. There is much more that just donated building supplies. The biggest problem one might find is that what you saw there 10 minutes ago will be gone when you come back if you wanted it. If you see it and want it, you'd better grab it. The prices are extremely hard to beat and the money goes to a good cause.

Got 4 desks from this place that supposedly matched in specification according to the associates but apparently not. There were small yet significant differences however I wouldn't blame them it's easy to make the simple mistake as they all appear similar. The service was still pretty good and the desks are in good use by us.

The good part is the inventory changes all the time. The bad part is the inventory changes all the time. I like this store for odds and ends, bits of construction materials or furniture or household items. I got a bathroom door for $5. But they've added more furniture and I'm not a fan of used anything that could tote bugs in it. That's just me, I've never seen a bug there, and most of it looked in good shape. It's a great store to wander in.

This is the perfect place if you are looking for nails and screws the one in Cedar Rapids the furniture looks nice but if you ever go up to the one in Waterloo it is very clean and very need in there but you can't find no nails or screws

I love the idea of this place. When ever I'm planning a trip out of town, I look to see if the town im going to visit has a restore. Price is always in my favor. If you have not visited this store yet. I highly recommend it..
