We special ordered a shower door 2 months ago and still waiting. It was to arrive shortly but it just happened to to go to the wrong DC in a different state. Not our first problem with Menards. The shower itself had black lines in it and it was blamed on us. They really don't help you!! I know after spending our rebates we will NEVER patronize another Menards EVER!! You lost money from us because the next purchase was appliances!!! Oh well! I'm ready for a better experience elsewhere!

Great place to find a lot of good products. Most of them are even cheaper and better quality than Walmart or other retailers. If you can’t find something you may have to look but the staff is very helpful and friendly. Some items are so popular that they can’t keep the shelves stocked and sometimes are completely out of stock. Not very often does that happen though. Have been to some stores where it seemed like half the store had empty shelves.

I will never shop at menards again they do not guarantee what they sell I bought a troy built weed eater it never starts not happy with the product all all they will not take it back tried to contact there customer service it is impossible to get ahold of anyone tried contacting troy built what a joke they are 2 hours on hold never got anyone both companies are no good ill stick with Lowes and home depot at least they guarantee what they sell and have great customer service menards you suck i would rather pay a few dollars more and shop with a company that honours what they sell

It's my main hardware store, but as you see in the photos, maybe don't let the yard guys cut your lumber to size for you... I don't think they know which side of the inch mark is correct.

There are alot of unfriendly checkers, they like to rush you and then get indignant about being told to calm down . Customer service rep I dealt with was a pure B. Yea ya get 11% off most of the time but personally I'm sick of bad customer service. I'll stick with Lowe's.

I placed an online order of over $1,000 . My items were delivered to the wrong address, states away. There was NO compassion or interest in correcting the matter. This was our first and LAST purchase through this company. They DO N O T care about the customer. Wal-Mart has better customer service. Now we are out the money and the products!!! Where is the justice here???

I try supporting local town business but man I thought Home Depot was bad Menards u make Home Depot look great but when you from out of town spending over 5 grand over a weeks span and nobody wants to help everyone stocks shelves like a snail and u ask then to lead u to the aisle cause they don’t offer they roll there eyes acts busy in paperwork while ur at the counter staring at them come on guys don’t waist ur time unless home depot doesn’t carry it I ran into one helpful person but she ended up being a Dutch boys paint representative she was the most help all week and not employed by Menards

Nice big and clean store. They have most everything you would expect and more. Even food and beverage items. Went for a new kitchen garbage can and bags. Got an 80 count Glad febreese kitchen bags on sale with a $3.00 rebate also. The bags smell so good.

Well, at menards, the carpet guy is terrible. If you need carpet, do not shop at this menards, they do not guarantee their carpet. Even if they offer warranty, there is no warranty. Remove the carpet after manager said to bring it in. To return an exchange, it offered credit. They did not do any of the following. The guy was rude, unprofessional and complete waste of money and time after spending $252 on a piece of carpet only to find out that it is defective.

There is always someone close to call apon if you're in need of assistance. The prices are reasonable and they offer a rebate with most of the products. Just send in your rebate ticket and receipt and you'll have some of that money you spent reimbursed.

Menards met most of my expectations. That being said, they didn't seem to have all the items I would have liked, but overall, it was a good experience. The floor staff were friendly & fairly helpful.

They usually have what I need and don’t when the other stores don’t have it. Friendly workers who are more than happy to help you out. Even had a customer help me load the door I got into my truck.

Had to “special order” interior door slabs because they don’t keep inventory for those at this location. You’d think that having to order them they wouldn’t come damaged. 2 out of 4 had big gouges in them. Unacceptable for the workers to think that quality is okay enough to notify the customer order is ready for pick up. This unsuccessful trip to the store took loads of time and money from my day. PLEASE implement quality control when taking special orders or wrap the doors to protect them for transport and storage.

I was impressed by the young man who was handling shopping carts from the parking lot who helped me load my car. Very pleasant and friendly. I didn't get his name. And I can't find my receipt. It was in my shopping bag. I think I used the bag for something else and gave it to my son. I bought a 22 gallon dehumidifier about 3 or 4pm today, Wednesday March 23. Also bought some candy. Don't remember the time as I had several stops. We talked about our cars being similar. I drive a black Ford Edge.

The last 2 times I've been here with my grandma, the employees were extremely rude. They rushed her and acted like she was taking forever to bag the items even though there was no one behind us and it really didn't take her long at all. She needed help finding a filter so she asked an employee and they said "not my department" and just walked off, instead of offering to find someone to help or tell her which department to ask. I started working in customer service at 16 and acted more professionally...

Mid 20 children good adventure if you want a note pad they have pads for days. Didn't taste great though. Stairs were too hard. Upper of the lower quality if I do say so. 5/10 would lick the floor if need be.

It was nice clean atmospere I actually went to check out their grocery side because I didn't want to stop anywhere else at the moment. I found all that I was looking for and needed in groceries and was totally surprised at their prices I found was much more cheaper than grocery store what a treat that was .their always willing to have someone prompt and ready to help me get the things I knew were to heavy for me to handle into my truck keep up the good work menards very pleased 😀

I too would give 0 if I could. Fridge died, went looking to replace it and a new stove. I had to ask someone in the grocery department to find someone to help me out. He said, she’s busy now but would be with me soon. When she came she looked up what I wanted. I purchased and she came back with a few papers to sign. I asked what they were and she replied, “just that we don’t have to take the doors off to get it inside.” I said, “ I was not sure, except you may have to take the doors off the side by side to get it out.” She said, “that’s okay we just have to note it.” I headed home with a cooler, then I thought they didn’t ask me about a new flex hose for the stove. Called back, they don’t hook up stoves. Drove over to cancel the stove and had to wait for a Mgr. Customer service issued a refund. On my way to work I realized she didn’t credit me for the disposal. Called again and the Manager said he would get back to me. He found the ticket and refunded the disposal. With that note, don’t sign anything without reading it because they trap you and then you’ll get delivery and no disposal and they don’t unhook your appliances or hook them up either. Shame on this place.... so far all I see on my card is the amount I paid for both appliances not a credit for the stove or disposal. I know that takes a few days and you bet I’ll be watching for it and calling if I don’t see it soon.

Russian accented woman at the returns counter lied to me about their returning an item. Without correctly checking the menard's bar code, she said 'we don't carry that' to an item that had their seven digit code and was on their website as 'in stock'. I'm pretty sure it was because we got this at Marshalltown, and Waterloo didn't want to take the hit to inventory. Blame poor management chasing bonus's or poor employee selection. Either way, there's no need to lie to 'guests'.

Not good on customer service, starting to resemble walmart where the employees turn a blind eye when your close by. But I knew what I was going in for and helped myself to their customized door services. 11% rebate creates incentive when you drop a few dollars compared to local competitors.

I went in to get a new exterior door and storm door. When I asked for help the guy acted like I was putting him out. He asked if I had a cart when I said no he shoved one in my direction, he went and got the storm door and tossed it on the cart. My son had to load the exterior door by himself and push it to the front of the store by himself. Not to mention nobody was around to help load it in the truck. Also the guy that got the storm door for me wasn't able to answer any questions i had about it. I asked if the handle was included he said probably. When I asked if I needed to buy a door closer for it he said I don't know. Customer service was non-existent. It definitely wasn't worth the 11% rebate. I would rather pay the extra money for the help and assistant I needed in the selection and questions I had!!

Today I stopped in to get a list of items for a project and was helped by a wonderful lady named Agnes. She was working in the area where the pvc pipes are and she noticed that what I was attempting to buy was the wrong item. The correct items (of which I needed 9) appeared to be out of stock. Agnes not only found the items I was looking for , she went back to the loading area and carted them up to me as well.After this, Agnes asked me what else was on my list and proceeded to guide me around the store to several different departments (none of which I would have found on my own in the time it took her) making sure I got each and every thing I needed for the project.This was without a doubt the absolute best customer service I have ever received at a home improvement store. Without help from Agnes, I would have certainly wasted time, gotten the wrong items, and probably had to make multiple trips to your store and end up very frustrated.In today’s world it’s very convenient to be able to go online and order items to have them shipped directly to you, in a lot of cases eliminating the need to shop at stores like yours. I’m sure you know that online companies like Amazon are a massive threat to your business model. HOWEVER, YOU CANNOT REPLACE ACTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE with the convenience of online shopping!If you are smart, you will give Agnes a raise, a pat on the back, and make her the model of how a shopping experience should be at Menards.I look forward to my next visit and I guarantee you I will come find Agnes to help me!

I have visited this location many, many times! Each experience was less than mediocre but today, today took the cake! I was brining back a handful of items my husband purchased while we were renovating. I had the receipt for all of the items. The woman behind the front counter was EXTREMELY RUDE! When it was my turn, she motioned me to the desk and stood there and stared at me. When I was handing her the items to return I was attempting to make small talk as she hadn’t said a word to me (Hi, Ma’am, Good afternoon etc.). As I was talking, mid sentence she walked away and started talking on her walkie. When she returned I was waiting for a “Sorry about that” or an apology for walking away while I was talking. Nothing! She said nothing. She nearly threw a couple of items back at me stating they were not from Menards and she couldn’t take them back. Now… I have worked in Customer Service nearly all of my life and I have NEVER spoken to a customer or been so rude to a customer as she was to me.I decided to walk the store and ouches up a few items. While checking out I approached the cashier who didn’t even acknowledge my existence…. She never said a word to me besides the total.I’m not expecting anyone to go out of their way to talk to me but a little acknowledgment would be nice.Do better Menards! You allow this type of Customer Service to be provided. Up your game and standard! Sheesh. I don’t think we will be purchasing anything from Menards any more.Remember, you have competition right down the road.

I was told a playset was in stock and I could pick up at the store. When I arrived a ticket was made and I was sent to the cashier. After paying for said playset I was sent to pickup and was told there it was a mistake, they did not have the item. They also couldn't guarantee that I would receive the next one that arrived even though I had paid. So I had to go back to the front and get my money back.

I was at this Menards yesterday to pick up paint supplies and not one person acknowledged me. And, I saw 3 sales associates during my time in the store. Really lacking on customer service. I left without a purchase. I then went to their competitor, Home Depot, across the road. Their customer service was excellent and I purchased what I needed there.
