It's not like it used to be. This HyVee on Logan Avenue in Waterloo Iowa has always been one of my favorite stores. There are so many of the original people that are gone you don't get greeted when you come in they look at you like what. You don't get any of them offering to help you. Shane that works in the kitchen is amazing and the man that works with him. The African-American man and I'm not trying to be racist that guy is amazing also. The rest of the staff up front or too busy with their hair too busy with their damn nails. Or they get on their cell phones. I'm sorry if you're working you should not be on your phone.I like the store because it's small and I can get in and get out. But the customer service sucks

The best part of Hy-Vee is Leeann Chin is located right inside. They have a pretty good bakery there. What disappoints me most was the pharmacy a lot of the medications weren't in and I had to wait for them to get filled also they have all of the products that you would think would be next to the pharmacy such as vitamins etc or at the other side of the store! I don't like to try to be forced to shop the whole store when I have no need to.

When I go to CF or Waterloo HY-Vee I have no problem finding an employee at a register. This Hy-Vee has employees, but fails to schedule anyone at the register in the morning. I want to spend money, but no one is ready to work. Most day I choose to drive further to CF. Their employees are always helpful and ready to take money.

Good place to pick up some groceries. The setup is a bit weird to me but other than that it's not bad once you're used to it.

Rude workers. I usually prefer hyvee but this one is terrible. Every person I talked to was rude. Don’t bother trying to order food; no one takes orders and the cook is angry that he has too many orders in. Like it’s the customers’ fault they’re under staffed.

The gentleman in the meat department is the reason I am giving 4 stars. I walked passed several other employees but they seem unfazed to a customer. The store is very nice well organized I didn't touch anything. The oven baked Turkey was fresh nicely cut.

Overall not bad, breakfast service was a little bit slow but the breakfast ended up being good. Clean store and friendly staff.

Eric D. Is not a kind person. He was rude to me and my grandmother when we came into wine and spirits… it felt racially motivated because he was kind to (others) around us. It is very sad to see this store go down like this.

I was impressed with the cleanliness, well stocked shelves and personal service. I went in for 2 items and spent over $100 on impulse items for camping, pets, snacks, etc. I even found specialty personal care items I'd been only able to find at Target. See photo I took.

I am disabled with multiple sclerosis. The manager Tracy was awesome I went into cash in some change when I went to the service desk she gave me the money from the receipt and then ask me if I needed any assistance. That made me happy she went out to the parking lot with me I needed assistance loading up my Hugo Walker which is a rolling walker. That is so kind I asked her how long she had been a manager and she said I know I think 3 to 6 months and she said she loved every minute of it. That is just so cool I will be contacting Hy-Vee about this woman. She deserves some kudos. Society spends a lot of time complaining about what is not right but my motto is is I always that let people know when good things have been done for me or others

Generally a clean neat place. I came in late the other day and someone helped me write happy birthday on a cake and didn't have to. Super happy with it, really helped.

Not good ordered a hot beef...it was just Luke warm for being fresh it should of not been luke. I think it was a left over from lunch ,the potatoes were not white in color and fresh looking .very dissatisfied....

Variety of food I need, and great location. I wish they still had the online grocery pickup option. That was incredibly handy for my busy days. I do like the addition of self check out, though it often gives me issues when bringing up fresh produce .The wine and spirits is ok.

Went in the liquor part and the cashier was very slow and RUDE!! First she had to look for her gloves, then took forever getting them on. She rang it through and asked me for my license I have been there plenty of times and never been asked before so had left it in the carWhen I told her I didn’t have it , she raises her voice and says you don’t have a license. Her customer service was awful to say the least!!

I shopped at this location a few days ago. I used the self checkout to purchase my items. I had an item the required assistance. I sat there and waited and waited and waited. Nobody came to help, so I went looking for help. When I turned the corner I saw a cashier and two employees at the checkout stand talking. I asked for help and One of them came to help me. No apology. If this was the first time this had happened I wouldn’t have wrote this review, but thus has happened to me at least 3 or 4 times where I have had to wait an unacceptable amount of time when there was a needs assistance came up at self checkout. I looked on my receipt and the evening of August 10th was when this occurred.

Hyvee's are only good for groceries when they have the deals going on. When there aren't any deals, hyvee is an overpriced grocery store compared to Walmart and aldi's prices.

Customer service is insanely slow especially with only 1 person working back there! Its when a second person finally came i got helped. They need a line for money orders and. Lottery with its own cashier. I wish there was a machine for stamps.

I can always find everything I want, if they are out of the sale or regular item, I get a rain check with no hassle. The store is clean, shelves are neatly stocked. I'm in & out quickly. If there are more than 2 or 3 in the line, they will open another lane. Everyone says hello & always ask if they can help me find anything. This is why I shop here.
