Picked up some desserts here for a family get together. Cheesecake, chocolate caramel cake, and tiramisu. All got rave reviews to the point my out of state family looked up the address so they could stop in on their next trip.

Prices are good and the fresh items are actual heaven! We went there for the first time and my husband and I didn't even get home before we finished it all. I highly recommend the cheesecake! Creamiest cheesecake I have ever had. We loved the caramel chocolate cake and the layered white cake. It wasn't too sweet, it was perfect. Will be back soon!

They make the best pitas here and have a great selection of meats, cakes and other Bosnian/former Yugoslavian foods. Highly recommend Ajla’s!

Just discovered this gem of a bakery. Best bakkliva I've ever had. Amazing breads and desserts. Plus fun grocery items you won't find in the typical stores. Worth a drive if you live in Eastern Iowa.

I came here just because I wanted something sweet, and wasn’t in town. I did not at all expect how delicious their baked goods were. It is excellent. The people here are so personable and kind as well. Thank you for such a good experience. I appreciate it immensely.

Best cake in town! Seriously hands down the best cake! It is a very small bakery but they have fresh and ready cakes at all times. They also have a variety of smoked meats and sweets! For such a small store they really do have a lot to choose from. They also carry lots of seasonings and other ethnic foods from Bosnia, Croatia, ect. . .

Unbelievable sweets. Their homemade bread is awesome also. Their owner super guy and he is so willing to let you try or taste any of the selections that you've never heard of or had before. Be prepared to loosen your belt after enjoying their treats.

Come often, always got fresh bread and yummy sweet cakes and awesome prices. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I've gotten a few of their whole cakes for my birthday and my moms :)

We were planning a cookout as an appreciation for our drivers who were working on the Friday after the 4th of July. We went to two other local grocery stores only to find they were both sold out of hot dog buns. Ajla's came through with the 30 buns we needed. The buns were large and obviously made fresh that day. Service was impeccable and the price was fair.

Had never been in this place so decided to stop in and check it out.SUPER friendly guy there answering all my many questions about the different items they have. The place has all kinds of different foods from other countries, was kinda cool just looking at all the food items. I ended up buying some fresh bread, was wonderful, and a bunch of different pastry type items which were AWESOME and very reasonably priced!!!! I'll definately be back again!!!!! Wonderful little bakery!!! :)

Recently moved to the area and relatively new to bosnian and serbian cuisines but Ajla's is a regular stop for us now on grocery runs. Great fresh bread and buns, great prices on shelf items like european chocolate and juice, and every single bakery item is *chef's kiss!* We love the cheesecake, tiramisu, rolled chocolate cakes, baklava and apple varieties, etc. and have yet to try the hot foods like burek but will be returning soon to do so!

I think there may have been a language barrier, they speak English great, but ignored any questions I had, or answered what they thought I might be saying. But the cake and sweets I got were great 👍

From the outside it looks like the typical local cozy bakery so I decided to make a stop in my way back home to this "Bakery".It was the first time I walked in to this place and an older man behind the counter asked me with a very strong accent and very rude almost angy: "What do you need?"I responded: " Excuse me, do you have sweet bread?"He responded: "We don't have sweet bread over here, get out of here". He pointed to a clock and said: "It's almost 6:00pm and we are closed ". However all lights were on including the "OPEN" sign and their website clearly says that Friday's they close at 7:00pm.Of course I left, I didn't buy anything and I felt mistreated. This is not the way you suppose to treat your new customers if you are running a business. This man was very rude to me, it was obvious that my presence for some unknown reason irritated him.Save the trouble and don't go to this place.

The baked goods are wonderful. They have a loaf of plain bread that reminds me of my grandmother's. There isn't a lot of variety but what they do have is delicious.

Nice Bosnian bakery and grocery with select imported food items.Try the warm burek, rolled and then coiled phyllo dough stuffed with meat or cheese. Great any time of day.

I love the beef and the cake is Grand. If you put the two together you would have a beefcake. I don't recommend that. But I do recommend their beef and their cake.

A great bakery & shop. Not the largest selection, but terrific baked goods and some ethic items. A refreshing place in this area of limited variety and primarily "chain" eateries & stores.

This is a Bosnian store, they dont really expect many Americans to come. It would still be nice if they had American employees who could explain things to the other Americans though.
