My family loves Fareway the best of all area grocery stores. My 3-year-old enjoys pushing his little cart around with us. Everything there is clean and neat. The meat counter is unmatched. And the staff act like they actually enjoy being there. Always helpful and friendly.Update: Nothing's changed! We still love it, and the staff are still great!

Came from out of town to just pick up baby formula and food, I asked for no plastic bags and If I could take the basket to my car and bring it right back out because I didn't want any trash in my car. Was super rude when I asked, it was like I was asking for her left hand. Now I don't look like the normal everyday old person who normally comes in I have facial piercings and always get judged for my looks. This old lady that works there with red hair followed me around the store and stared at me while I put my things in the car. What is wrong with people. Never coming back.

Wonderful place to shop. Staff in all depts very polite, knowledgeable & helpful. Meat Dept most accommodating for specific requests in packaging product or special orders in general. Check out always a breeze as checkers & carry outs always friendly & socialable. My furdaughter usually accompanies me & carry outs always acknowledge her & speak to her. This pleases not only her but me as well. Can't begin to say enough about how shopping there I do not consider it a "chore" like it is shopping there. I highly recommend shopping there!!!

I love this store, & the employees are all very friendly & helpful. If you need something & they don't have it, Josh will do all he can to get it for you. Highly recommend this store for all of your food needs.

Thank you to the friendly & helpful staff for being there to help keep some normally in these trying times.To Dave, Ron, Colleen, Lisa and all of you( who I'm proud to call them friends) a special THANK YOU to Russ W., today when I panicked after realizing my phone had fallen out of my pocket, without hesitation, stopped what he was doing and gladly walked to my truck with me, calling the # and helping me find it. We all should be grateful, to be part of a small caring town!

Grocery girl was cute. She gave me Alot of bucks lol. Great product selection and fresh and quality. Better than most places tbh. A little more expensive then your average grocery but all worth it

I have always liked shopping at Washington Fareway. Fareway always hires the most polite people. The store is set up like a vintage store and reminds me of stores I shopped at as a child with the old fashioned hospitality. It is one of the few stores where the bag boy still carries the groceries out to the car. There is usually a wonderful sale going on and they have the best meat choices.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO WORK!!!! Poor management, manager belittles employees, especially young ones, horrible attitude, unfair pay. I’m just glad I left there. I worked my butt off for 4 years there and when I left I got payed less then younger people who worked there for 1 year and did little to nothing???? Fareway needs to fix this ASAP. People quit every week.

Fareway is our favorite grocery store here in town, I have shopped there all my years of married life (50 years), they always have what I need, staff is very friendly...they always know my name, and I know theirs.....Good Service too!!

I recently moved from Washington, Iowa to Illinois for my job. I sure miss Fareway and especially the meat counter! Nothing in the area that I am now at even compares. Great meat, great service, and great people!

I adore our local FarewayBut they just redid modulars, and I had to hunt some, more than usual. But the ✔ out service was fast, friendly and so helpful getting out of the store
