Breaker Breaker Walcott Radio! I want to thank you for such excellent service. I placed an order on a Saturday. I spoke with Blaine, very nice person, and very patient. I had been doing my research on CB Radios. I use to be heavily into AM/USB/LSB some 26 years ago. Back then, I had some of the greats, RCI 2970, Galaxy Saturn Turbo, Cobra 148 GTL.I wanted to get back into this fun hobby, especially shooting skip when it rolled around. I would like to have had the STRYKER 955, but alas money budget was not there. I opted for the President Radio McKinley, as I researched it quite extensively, and there were many great reviews on its performance and features.I opted for the Peak Performance upgrade, the President Digimic, a Wilson 1000 magnet mount, and power cord. Shipping was fast and I received 3-4 days later. Installation into my Toyota Tacoma was easy. I drove out to a secluded area, and did my SWR testing. The built in SWR feature is awesome. On ch 1. I got a 1.6 and on Ch 40, also a 1.6, and on Ch 20 a 1.2. Good to go, and I even called Walcott radio to share my results.I spoke with Tom and he was great to talk to. He said you were getting good results, and with the SWR in the middle of the ch being a lower reading, that was good. He suggested I also get an external SWR meter, to do comparison testing of the SWR. I am so glad I did. Once again shipping was fast. I connected the external SWR meter, and the readings were 1.0 on ch 1, 1.1 on ch 20 and 1.4 on ch 40. Nice to have a second way of double checking your results.I made some minor preference adjustments. Skip was active on ch 6 AM band. I keyed up and shortly made great contacts with Alabama, Kentucky, and Florida. All said the radio was sound great. Yesterday, I could hear on LSB guys from New Zealand and Australia. The ASC squelch feature works great. Tom at Walcott Radio, was very kind and patient with my questions, and made great suggestions. I m loving my new President McKinley, and the performance upgrade is perfect for my needs. Tom! There is NO service after the sale! I bought a brand new Ranger a few months ago & I needed a little work done today on it & they wouldn’t even do a diagnostic check. Wanted me to leave it with them & “maybe” in 3-4 weeks they would get to it & see what’s wrong with it. There wasn’t any other customers in the store! I was the only one & they said they was to busy!!! Unbelievable! And then after that, one of the workers they don’t do walk ins! I spent $650 on my radio & this is the thanks I get! They have lost my business forever!

I bought a connex 46 from you guys and I paid for a "tune up". It had it tuned up elsewhere because it didn't work right. Also, my stock mic didn't work because a wire was loose. The built in speaker also wasn't properly working. Did/do you guys even hook it up and test it? Oh well. Poor service I suppose.

I cannot believe after the many thousands of dollars I have spent in this place, that the associate I had one simple question for, wouldn't even let me complete my question.A simple task of checking the accuracy of an antenna analyzer, (which I would've been happy to pay for) was too much to ask.No sweat, I understand they're too busy so I will start taking my business elsewhere.Good riddance.

Do not pay or let them do the mod on any RCI 2950s. I purchased RCI2950DX in 2022 and it stopped transmitting. I barely even used the unit actually.Took it to a local guy, and said whomever did the mod was a hack. I've heard this many times now.

Went in for a Midland programming cable and guy with the beard acted like I was bothering him. Told him it was for a Midland and he pulled out a USB cable and threw it on the counter. I told him it was the wrong one and he put it back in the draw. I was smiling and upbeat and he was a colossal prick. Only cares about selling high ticket items. Go to the CB department at the 80 truck stop across the street and don't waste your money here.

Useless store. I called yesterday asking to drop off my bearcat 980 to be peaked and tuned. They called me back saying it would take maybe 15 minutes to do it. I told them in my message what the radio was. I show up today, remove my radio and go inside to drop it off just to be told the 980 bearcat can’t be tuned. Which is funny because you can get online and order a brand new peaked and tuned 980 bearcat from other vendors. More like these guys just were too lazy to want to deal with this radio for whatever reason, but clearly they are too stupid to listen to what radio I said I had in my voicemail so I didn’t waste my time.

Tom is the best! I needed cb power wires spliced and crimped together. Not only did he professionally splice and shrink wrap the wires that I brought into the warm shop(didn't have to climb into the truck at all), but he complained about having to do it the whole time!! I even tried to pay Tom for the five minutes of "work" that was done but he would not have it and did not charge me a extra penny for the work that's was done. Lol. I guess it also helps that I dropped $400.00 at the same time for a new radio and accessories.You the best Tom! Will be back, always great customer service with a smile or something close to a smile. Maybe a grunt. Thanks again Tom and please next time wash your hand when done.😆😁😆😁. You guys are the best!!

I was having an issue with the Anytone XT-6666 Radio I just purchased. The sales person recommended, per my request, for a decent radio to get started with. Then I had an issue with a setting that the Owner’s Manual did not address. So I phoned Walcott Radio. I was fortunate to get the same person who initially took my order when I asked for a recommendation for a good radio. I have to say this, Tom was very helpful both times. The Sale and the Technical issue.Tom showed a great attitude. He took the time to listen and both times. You have been there before, calling Tech Support and it is as if the Tech only wants to end the call as fast as possible. Tom took the time to listen and I am thankful he picked up the phone. I have never dealt with anyone but Tom. I am sure Walcott Radio takes pride in their service, so I would assume, the entire staff takes pride in working for Walcott Radio. I would highly recommend Walcott Radio when you are looking for the electronics they sale. Expert advice... professional installation, and reasonable price! They have much more than CB radios; GPS, steteos, all kinds of phone/tablet mounts, cables, satellite TV setup, too much to list! I bought a radio, antenna, and swr meter. Jason custom fabricated a bracket specifically for my truck. Fantastic job, I will definitely return and will definitely recommend Walcott Radio!03/2020 I bought an antenna (Stryker SR-A10) and SWR/power meter(SX-200) online. AWESOME!!! I would highly recommend both.. Fits good in 2020 Cascadia. The antenna lights up when you key up. I get a low swr and great performance from this antenna, paired w/Stryker sr-497HPC radio.
