Out of alot of things on the shelves . I have to be careful to go in DG when NIKI CHAUDHARI is working because when...worked at their hotel COBBLESTONE INN&SUITES IN VINTON IA NIKI and her husband KUMAR harassed and verbally abused, hk staff AND RACIAL DISCRIMINATION ON former HK employees . There is also a rude gentleman cashier that is nasty and will refuse u service!

A great place to shop when fully staffed . I have found them all to be either very crowded or not at all crowded. There is a public restroom but sometimes its so busy they cant keep up on restocking shelf or picking up things people have pulled off the shelf and just left in the ailes. But I love that they have such a variety of things at very good prices.

I went to get diapers for my son knowing that the other dollar general sells the same $1 pack of diapers. I was told they were closed. It was 6pm and online it said they didn’t close until 10pm and the other dollar general in Urbana was still open and sold the same diapers. I was told they didn’t sell them anymore and they closed at 6pm???!! What!! Who closes their store at 6pm. I need diapers for a 2 year old and a baby boy and everything is already so expensive I can’t even afford gas to get to the other dollar general… I hope this changes because I love the new dollar general I just wish they would let me in and be considerate the lights were on and people were inside I just need diapers dang it ..

Came in this morning right at 8 when they opened (8/7/22) two employees playing music outloud in back of the store and talking to each other. I said hello and was ignored. I waited 5 minutes by the check out for them to help me, while looking right at them in the back of the store. No one helped me check out so I just left my meow mix on the counter and left.

They always seem to have what I need, or, am looking for & it's affordable & if I can't find something one of the clerks will go find it for me.They are also very good about lending a helping hand, I broke my foot in 4 places & my ankle, painful to walk on, I went in the store they seen my boot & could tell I was in pain, one of the clerks asked me what I was there for, I told her & she told me to stay put & she went and got everything I had named off & asked me if that was all & could she help me with anything else, I told her I thout she had done enough for me, Thanked her then checked out telling the cashier that they should do whatever to keep that one.

I don't go in here any more after the clerk started to shout at me when I tried to use the DG phone application. Not a huge loss as there is nothing here you can't get cheaper and with better quality. I am so hoping we would get a Family Dollar store: they are usually very polite and have Duke's mayonnaise.And since this is a small town, I fully expect someone to get in my face for this review.

Store has gone down hill over the years. I go to other Dollar Generals and everything looks great. This one however always looks like they are in a rush to move. Aisles are constantly blocked with carts and store is always a mess. Guess I will have to go elsewhere from now on.

Coupons hardly ever work here. That being said it's okay. There's always boxes all over and it's kind of hard to get through with a family. This particular location I did have a little bit of trouble checking out because a worker was not properly trained on the company policy. But it's not like I Won't Go Back. I'll try again in a few weeks. Hope to change my review then.

Because I know the cashier's & they always joke around with us & 99 1/2% of the time they are always ready with a smile & if you can't find something (or can't reach it, my case) just ask one of them & they will help you.Even when Alco was in town, Dollar General always had PLUS sized clothes & Alco had all the skinny clothes, Thank God for Dollar General & their workers!!!!😁

Overall, the store was too small for the amount of stuff in there. The shelves are poorly organized and hardly anything is just a "dollar". The only reason I gave as many stars as I did was because at this DG, unlike most, I didnt have to wait around at the register for the cashier to show up-or go hunt them down so I can check out and leave.

The whole store is filthy. Continues to be a disorganized mess. Bathrooms appear as if attention to cleaning has never been occurred. Staff not available for help nor pleasant to anyone, there appearance follows suit with the store. Will not be reurning.

Very disorganized and dirty, there were carts and racks all over the isles, blocking most, clothes on the floor, lots of stolen or damaged products. Staff was no where to be found up front. Nothing restocked, lots of shelves were empty.

Don't plan on a quick trip to Dollar General. You will more than likely wait in line forever!!! That is if you can find what your looking for because the shelves are not stocked. Stuff is just in the middle of the isles blocking your way. They have no dress code and you have no clue who is supposed to be there to help you.

Staff is always helpful but during stocking times it is hard to get through the store and they don't always carry the same products which can be an inconvenience

the Dollar General in Vinton is the closest thing to Walmart that we have it is the only dollar store in town and is almost always out of stock on certain items for more than 2 weeks at a time the staff for the most part is friendly helpful and welcoming

This has become my least favorite Dollae General. It is always messy and overfull! Theu don't seem to have enough room for everything. Staff is usually friendly though.....

You can always find something at Dollar General. The staff are friendly & try to be helpful. Am not sure they have enough employees to exceed expectations though.

I needed some thing to go camping. They had everything I needed. Store was clean and clutter free. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

The Vinton, IA store is very unorganized, although the Manager is trying her best to get the store in order. Most of the employees are kind and helpful, some of them have a very negative attitude

It's more about the selection of cheap products than it is about customer service. There is employees but not needed to make this place what it is...this one I was at... I found what I needed not what I wanted...and they are open when other places around there aren't

they are ok here. My favorite one was in newhall but it got hit by the derecho very badly so am not sure if it will reopen. 😓🙁😣

Home town dg I remember when it was located elsewhere and I hated that store. I love this store much more roomy and they display things in great places
