We were looking to add a new lab puppy to our family. I reached out to Wade via email & he replied back to me within a few hours. We discussed the upcoming litter. He explained how I could place a deposit down. During this time we talked via phone calls or text messages. We drove up to get our puppy this last weekend. Wade had the litter outside all cleaned up & ready for us to pick out our little one. Once we made the decision Wade had all the paperwork prepared for us. We finished up business h prepared for the road trip home with the new addition. I would recommend anyone who wishes to get a new lab puppy to talk with Wade.

BEWARE if you buy a puppy from Wade, he appears to be a great guy but please read reviews before you buy. We bought a silver lab from him, we set up the date to pick him up and worked around his schedule, I took a vacation day so we could do this and he would be there, I drive a truck overnight and I get paid by the mile so when I take a vacation day I lose 200 dollars because I get paid hourly for that day. We did this just so we could meet him. We talked to him 10 minutes before we arrived at his farm and he decided to leave and let his farm hand handled us picking up the pup. Well we thought ok because we was excited to get the pup and we drove 4 hours for him. I gave his farm hand the remaining balance In cash, he took my name and said Wade would mail us the akc papers, here's where it really gets bad. I understand that as a farmer he was in the middle of calving season so when when didn't get the papers right away I didn't think much about it, next comes planting season and still no papers, after a few texts and calls things heated up, we read the rest of the reviews and found this to be a big problem with him. We found one of the other people that had same problem. Bottom line is you have to called his local sheriff and have him go out to Wade's, trust me this works. We then got papers right away. What a poor way to do business, my advice to you is DONT pay the balance unless you have ALL the papers when you pick your puppy up. We will never buy a puppy from him again nor would we tell anyone else to.

My Son purchased his 1st silver lab from Wade, he was beautiful, but got pneumonia. He wanted another, only from Wade. He happen to have 1 light silver left. So the gran kids asked me to go along. Away we went!! There was 2 in the pen, a light and dark, the dark was spoken for. As we were playing with the puppies, Wade got a call, the people couldn't get the money for the other puppy. He was beautiful. The grankids kept telling me, grandma you need him!! Nope, I went to the van, and the puppy started crying, the kids looked at me, and I couldn't leave him. I now have a charcoal male He is really pretty and he has a brother really close. Well now my son and I decided to raise silver labs!!! We have a deposit on a female !! From WadeHumphrey!! He has beautiful pups, they have great attitudes and they learn quick. I recommend Humphrey Labs!!!

I bought a black lab pup March 2019, originally in contact with Wade Humphrey (Humphrey's Labs), When we picked him up he was covered in cow manure and we were quickly pushed out of the door, with the promise that the papers would be in the mail the next week. We never got them. I tried getting in contact multiple times and got an excuse every time. My dog is almost a year old and I still have NO PAPERS!!

Almost 12 years ago we bought a female lab from Wade. Brooke passed away almost six weeks ago. She was a perfect lab, best friend. Very intelligent. A testament to Wade's breeding program. So. After Brooke died I tried to call Wade. No reply. I tried to email him several times. Which the last one wasnt very nice. No replies from him. When we bought Brooke, I called him told him what I was looking for, he nailed it! Not now though! I dont get it, wouldn't you think hed be glad to deal with me again?? Very disappointed. Sad because I wanted another puppy from him! We still havent found a puppy yet Wade.....hint hint.

We purchased a lab from Wade in March. We were told we were purchasing an AKC registered Black Lab. When we picked the dog up-smelled of dog poop and was dirty, Wade told us he would send us the paperwork within the week. After numerous calls and texts requesting our dogs AKC paperwork, we have received nothing. We are reporting him to the AKC for fraudulent selling of pedigree dogs.

We got Cash, a charcoal lab from Wade 5 years ago and couldn't be happier. He is a great dog and has a wonderful temperament. Wade was very responsive in our experience. Papers were received upon request when we got him. I cannot relate to some of the reviews that state otherwise and I can confidentiality say that we have recommended him to others and would continue to do so. Thank you Wade for introducing Cash to our family!

We got our pup 4 months ago when he was 8 weeks old. I had done some research on silver labs and knew they could be susceptible to some skin conditions I had asked many questions before deciding to go ahead with purchasing this very expensive dog from this breeder. Wade reassured me his labs were healthy. We live in northern Minnesota and made the drive. I immediately questioned what appeared to be missing, or thin hair around our pups eyes and was told I was looking for problems. Our pup also has very coarse fur. I thought this was a bit rude. I was paying $1000, I expect a healthy looking pup! Puppy was hiding , not jumping or playful like a puppy should be, he stunk so bad of manure we had to stop at the nearest pet store for spray and wipes. I was told he might have done diarrhea from the car ride. I believe this was a cover up to the very sick puppy we received!!! We were at the vet the next day with a puppy with a bacterial infection, pooping wood chips, and a horrible case of giardia. So we spent an additional $500 the next day. Still battling the giardia! STILL NO REGISTRATION PAPERS after several messages to him! He also seems too busy with his cattle, always has an excuse as to where our papers are! AWFUL!

We were looking to add a new lab to our family and did alot of research. The reviews for this breeder seemed promising. We made a deposit for first pick male before the birth of the litter. We were told we could pick out at 3-4 weeks. After the birth, we kept getting put off and then was told we we would pick out upon arrival. We made a 2 hour trip in bad weather, and picked from the 3 males in an office. We were told AKC paperwork would be mailed in 2-3 weeks. We made contact with the breeder/seller every 3 weeks after and he gave a different story each time as to why we didn't have the paperwork. The breeder/seller was very rude and degrading to speak to and deal with. Finally 10 weeks after the sale, we received an email that he got confirmation the litter was registered and paperwork should be mailed. Three weeks plus, we have not received notification of any AKC. Although we have AKC numbers for the parents, are sure we have a full breed dog, we paid $600 for a dog we have no paperwork to show for. AKC notes that paperwork should be given at the time of the sale. This breeder is not very reliable, personable or professional. I wish we would have researched better into the reviews as we have found others having the same experience we have had.

I have gotten 2 pups from Wade. A Champagne Female and a Charcoal Male. The Female is a beautiful, playful, loving girl that has had 2 litters of beautiful healthy pups. The second was a 3 month old charcoal male. I told Wade he would be my next stud dog. He told me he would pick the one he would keep for himself. I was not able to get there right away because I live in Michigan and work full time. We named him Ash. At 8 months old he was 90 lbs with a huge blocky head. Exactly what I was looking for. Ash is now 18 months old and has sired 52 pups, and is a very good gun dog. We don't have as many birds here as there are in Iowa, but that hasn't slowed him down. I would definitely recommend a puppy from Humphery Labs.

Bought our "English" chocolate "Pudding" from Wade 6 months ago. Still waiting for him to send us Pudding's AKC registration. Many calls and emails have been sent to him. If he responds (2-4 weeks later) it's the same story "I'll get it sent in and you should have it in 2 weeks". After six months of that he isn't even responding. Our experience with the day we picked him up is very similar to others complaints (manure smell, not letting us see the parents, hinky feeling). After getting Pudding home. We found he had Round Worm and had to treat. He also had a UTI. His bladder control has been a great challenge. So much so that he's scheduled for a $500 ultra sound scan of his bladder next week. You probably notice above I said "English". Well that's what we thought we were getting but as Pudding has grown he's showing the physical characteristics of an American rather then an English. I'm starting to think when Wade has a "bad" litter he pawns them off as good but doesn't put in the effort he affords a truly good one. That's one possible explainnation for the drastically differing reviews.

I bought my charcoal male from him in late September of 2014. I was a bit late on picking Humphrey's for my pup due to convincing of the boss at home. I drove just over three hours after contacting him that morning. He's a farmer, and I was shocked at how efficient his communication was for being such (I know from experience... we get busy!). He had one charcoal male (our's) and two silver females (his sisters) left. When I arrived, he had them in a puppy pen in the front yard, and I immediately knew which dog I wanted. When I pick a pup, I like to do it in person so that I can witness his natural temperament and personality. I always choose the quiet, distant one who watches the others who seem to be more lively. They tend to also be the runts, but they also tend to be the smartest most observant dogs. So, I got my boy, and we headed home. My boy had a skin issue at time of pick-up, but he provided me with information as requested by me. My vet confirmed his story, and we've been happy since. I bought him solely for upland, blood tracking, and shed hunting. He is a bit mediocre on his flushes but retrieves well. He's a natural in the water, and has a great temperament still. He will be 2 this upcoming month. He is a leaner, athletic lab that is active, extremely healthy, and well-mannered despite loving everyone he meets. I would give 5 stars instead of 4, but I was a bit weary of my pup's sisters who seemed to be very rambunctious and "gitty" as well as the skin issue. I would recommend him for future litters, but do try to pick your pup out in person. It's always a safer route to go. If anyone would like a picture of my pup at age 2, please contact me. He's a handsome charcoal compared to what Google can show of the color.

They need to be shut down! We bought a puppy from them two and a half years ago! He was filled with worms, has skin issues, bladder issues and has had aggression since day one bringing him home despite all the money we have put into training. He is our puppy and its not his fault that he was from a very over bread mom who was taken away much too soon. When we picked him up at 6.5 weeks old the mom was not there she had been gone sent to training while the pups were barely off of nursing. They had one bowl for all puppies for food and water. His fur is so coarse, he is overly hyper and we lI've on a farm. We either have to pay more money to send him away or put him down because I have a daughter and cannot trust him around her. So sad because this isn't his fault it's his neglectful breeders!!!! So awful I feel so bad for my dog. Do not buy from them! Because of the genetically changed gene these dogs are known to have horrible issues and are over bred to produce one color! Do your research. I will never buy another lab for color. They are crooks!

We picked up our puppy back in March - he has been the perfect addition to our family. He loves to be outside with us, go on car rides and go up north. He has the most adorable personality full of love and sass. He loves and adores EVERYONE he meets. He slept through the night in his crate after 3 nights and only ever had one accident in his crate. He is extremely smart and loves doing tricks for treats/food. His favorite tricks are "high five" and "reach for the sky." He is the most lovable and laid back puppy I've ever met. He loves to play or sit next to you and snuggle - whatever you need/want he knows. Highly recommend Humphrey Labs!

I bought a dog from humphrey labs last yr! 6 months after i brought the pup home my night mare began! through my vet I found out dex had hip dysplasia bad in both hips! That he had bad joints and at 8 months old had already ruptured a knee and he had arthritis in all his joints! when I brought this to wade he was so rude! well did I expect anything different he was rude from the beginning! I asked for pics he would refuse and say hes busy! i had paid for my dog in full before i even picked it up from wade! so when I went to pick my pup up I wanted to see the living conditions and the parents but he refussed and said he had too many cattle to deal with! he runs his place like mcdonalds! I pulled up he passed a dog through our window told us he was to busy for anything else and told us we had to be on our way! geeeez when ive gotten dogs in the past and drove 4 hours to get them the breeders let us strech our legs and talked to us for awhile and were very friendly! not this guy! very cold and rude to us! dexter has gone through 1500 in surgeries and that was just for the knee! they want another 3000 for both hips! humphrey told me but the time dexter was the age he is now he would be worth 6000 dollars as a starter dog! he got one thing right by a yr dex would be worth 6000! In surgeries! he tried to even blk mail me to take these messages down but i told him and his lawyer keeping these reviews up is worth the almost 800 i spent on dex to be able to warn other good parents so no more dexters happen! Wade the only way I will take these down is if you agree to retire zoey and duke! and any dog related to them! and show proof of it! and show no one else is using him with out putting any of them down! so this stops! you can keep flipping digits at me through your lawyer but that will not change my mind! when we die we answer to god and there is no way im letting this (by saying nothing). by taking the money! stop me from being right with my creator when the times my time! and no amount of money could make me go against my god and whats right! and what you are doing is very wrong! he then owed me a pup under his guarantee. I waited almost 9 months and was told this pup wouldnt be ready till april! He sold her 2 weeks ago to someone else! I have no reason to lie and anyone who wants to see proof of everything i have on this man I have no issue with that! cause I have it all! I was an investigator for 10 yrs of my life! I am very good at what I do! And just want every breeder who needs a stud service or any parent looking for a new pup to have the chance to be able to know the truth before they make their choice! I breed labs too and this right here is everything I never want my company to be! Im thankful though I have learned so much cause of this man! and Now have a clearer understanding on what i never want to be!!! just be careful when buying a pet from any where! plz do your research before you even put a deposit down! you cant trust a book by his cover! when I first seen humphreys site! I thought what a nice place! hes everything i hope i am at in 5 more yrs! till I dug in and saw he is nothing like I thought he was! just be careful

When we picked out our puppy there was 2 left. One was covered in poop. We didn't get to see the parents of the puppies. We got our puppy gone to find out it had kennel cough. And now our dog is only one year old and the vet is tell us he has bad knees and will have bad hips. Will need many surgeries. Very un happy and heart broken that this is what we have to go through. Don't buy from this guy and I will be reporting him.

Wow! I don't think the negative reviews even went to the same breeder as us? Our silver female is 10 months healthy soft beautiful smart girl. I would buy from Humphry Labs again anytime. She was the last one left in the litter, so we didn't get to pick, but could not have picked a better girl if we tried!!

I purchased a puppy 12/4/19.still no papers just excuses. I would not recommend him .Our puppy ended up with worms and diarrhea bad .He lied and said he gave him 1st round. He's not to be trusted...Shame on him..
