This room was the nastiest I have ever seen. If it had been daylight when I checked in and I had taken the time to check the room better, I would never have stayed. There was dried urine on the wall next to the toilet...and not just a little. The desk chair leaned to the side and the recliner that was in the room was stained and had no handle. The absolute worst was that there is obvious dried semen on the wall next to the bed and on the baseboard it even appeared to be growing mold.We couldn't get out of there fast enough. The fact that breakfast was corn flakes, brown bananas or toast didn't make us want to stay either. Stay away!

Staff are incredibly nice. This was the cleanest hotel we've stayed in and it has excellent security. The only weird thing was the nose in parking signs. No backing in parking - not sure why.Rooms: The bathroom had sanitary strip on the toilet to assure it had been cleaned - we'd not seen that in any hotel before.

Nice and quiet, the location is actually very nice when you stay here to go to the casino. It's just far enough to be quiet and close enough for the 5 minute trip to the casino. The price is very fair. The relaxation factor is amazing no noise and the front staff are very cool too deal with even when coming in drunk at 1am. This will definitely be my one stop shop when staying up here for the weekend on my birthday.

If I could assign this Hotel in Toledo, IA a Negative rating I would. Let’s start with a toilet that would leak all over the floor and an air conditioner that was broken. Add to that a “maintenance manager” that clearly knew nothing about fixing such issues. When we asked for our rate to be reduced, he claimed the most he could do was to give us $10 per night off (making our rate $80/night). He refused to contact the owner on our behalf. The only good thing here is the kind woman who is at the front desk in the daytime. Run, don’t walk away from this place.

The staff was very nice. Sleep with the lights on so the bugs stay hidden. There were two types of bugs and they moved fast! When I looked around I kept seeing more of them. In all areas of the room and bathroom. The shower curtain had mildew on it and the towel had a hole in it. I took pictures of the bugs. Not sure how to post them.

Upon entering the non-smoking room the smell of smoke was strong and there were cigarette burns in the thread bare carpet. No one at the front desk at check in. The advertised spa was filled with junk and old furniture. The breakfast choice was only waffle without syrup or cereal. But the bead was comfortable.

Do not stay here if you have another option.The breakfast is awful. There is nothing warm, milk was expired, cereal was almost gone anyways. There was however, 3 bananas.The staff was really rude to us. We requested a late check-out upon arrival, & instead of being allowed to sleep we were harassed by a man named sunny.This man should not be in a customer service field. We will not be returning to your hotel. I hope this deters future guests until your issue is resolved.Room was laid out so the tv could not be watched while laying in bed. Heater/ac isn't from this decade, probably not the last either. It intermittently works and when it is working there is a loud hum coming from it. The fan in the bathroom also has its own unique sound, comparable to a high pitch scream.

My room was never cleaned before I arrived. There was garbage still in the garbage can. My dad had a room as well. When we opened the door after the first day the room smelled like someone had just been smoking in his room. This is not a nice place to stay. However, the people who work at the desk are quite friendly.

We left an hour after checking in because I found a bedbug right on my pillow. The owner told my husband that he would put us in a clean room. No kidding. This place looks clean, but beware, don't stay here. If you must, check your bed very carefully.

Property didn't look bright & clean like their picture. Looked rundown, trash cans full, weeds & overgrowth need trimmed. Didn't use key-card on outside door, as the lock was broken; the door didn't even latch, so security issue. Room looked nice and clean from the doorway. Upon entrance, found old scratched lottery tickets & a gum wrapper on the desk. Shower had a used bar of soap and used shampoo, so obviously questionable cleanliness. Wish we'd received one of those rooms that has gotten the glowing reviews on here!

Staff were very nice and room was decent, but for the money, we didn't expect to see things falling apart and missing pieces. I had to screw the security latch back into the door frame, ceiling was cracking and peeling in the bathroom and the vending machine had hand written labels for "Coke" and other brands. Felt more like a $45 per night room, instead of an $80 per night room.

Very nice and clean hotel. Lovely suite room. They allowed my show dogs. Was upset a tad that they charged for each dog per day. I can tell you my dogs are clean and have manners, unlike some guests. But all told, very nice hotel

Nice updates in the rooms, but poor breakfast (sour milk for starters). Also had my "do not disturb" on the door. Yet someone still came in my room and partially cleaned it. Leaving the trash can on the sink right beside my toothbrush, not a germophobe but that was disgusting. Also security doors didn't lock, allowing anyone to come in any door as they please.

No elevator and garbage breakfast. Security doors are a joke. Not locked ever. Nobody at the front desk hardly ever. Bed was soft though 😁. Better than sleeping in the gutter.🤪

Very friendly family runs this older, very clean motel. Really quiet, very clean, and a great value. I wish every motel stay was like this. Free paper at front desk. $10 pet fee plus reasonable charge for room. Would also suggest this as an alternate for Grinnell and Marshalltown visitors in spring, summer or fall.

Didn't have any room keys. People where extremely loud in the hallway. Doors open loud music. A whole van load of people showed up to check in asked where they could get drugs. Sign said mask required staff was not wearing any. Hotel definitely needs upgrades from the ac units which seemed rusty outside. Mini fridge and microwave looked very old. We refused to stay there and went to Des Moines.

The male owner is EXTREMELY rude. His wife was kind. Breakfast is OK. Nothing to rave about except the beds were comfortable, housekeeping was sweet. Doesn’t make up for the absolute terrible costumer service you the owner.

Hotel is clean, staff is very friendly. I saw the reviews about bed bugs but had no such problem in my room. One problem is that there is NO fitness center which is contrary to what the website says. It appears to be under construction but staff says will not be done for a long time. All in all, a good place to stay for the price.

We have stayed here before and it was awesome. However, after making reservations a week prior, they released our room one of the days. She said we had the reservations for the days asking but said they wanted to make sure they sold out and double booked our room with a wedding party and we lost the room due to it. We will NEVER go back there and we stay down there at least three/four times a year. I wont even recommend it to another cause I guess hearing from others with the new management they seem to overbook and people lose their rooms all the time. To me it says reservations mean nothing. #badworkethics, #lostourbusiness

We checked in and out withing 15 min. There room was not cleaned after the last guest bed 2as dirty and covered in hair. Our room door was broken and the security doors were broken so anyone could just walk right in.
