We have had nothing but disappointing experiences at the Stuart Vet. We have tried to take our older cat to see Dr Curtis 2 or 3 times for breathing issues, and every time he insists it’s just because he needs to lose weight. Fast forward a couple of months, and now we are $3000+ deep in vet bills in Des Moines looking into a massive growth in his throat. There is no way this growth was not there during our previous visits to Stuart Vet, and I am very disappointed and frustrated at their lack of care for our cat.We also have brought our dog over for a normal checkup once and have been discouraged by their lack of care given. Myself and my partner feel that every time we go, we get treated almost as an inconvenience and get rushed out to pay before we can get all of our questions out of the way.On top of that, they somehow are never able to find our Older Cat’s vet records when we need them. He has been my partner’s cat for 9 years, and for some reason they moved his records to my name even though my partner is the one who calls and takes him to the vet appointments.Both of us are very frustrated with the lack of professionalism and knowledge presented by Dr Curtis.The ladies at the desk are always so kind and helpful, so two stars for those women, but minus 3 for the care by the actual vet.

I had to take both of my dogs here on short notice because they ate rat poison. They treated them both quickly and did a great job. The pups are doing well!

Stuart Veterinary Clinic has my patronage hands down. The entire staff has always been caring and professional in caring for my dog and myself. I trust their knowledge and wisdom. I think the cost has been more than reasonable. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who desires the BEST for their beloved pet.

Don't bring your pets here... what happened to this place... go to the Earlham vet... Beware.. they will charge you for walking in the door, even if they did nothing!

We are not current patients there, but our dog needed emergency stitches. The doctor was willing to help up on a Saturday, after hours! Great doctor, and overall great person! Price was amazing for after hours also! VERY HAPPY!

I’m not sure how they don’t have 5 stars! Every single person was SO nice and very much cared about my fur baby! I drive 35 min to see Dr. Callie and as long as I’m living in Iowa, I will continue to see her and her wonderful staff!

About 3 weeks ago I had the stuart vet come out and check my mare. Our appointment was at 11am. I had horses tied up, and brushed down (In the rain) by 10am just in case he was early. 1pm comes and I called the vet and he said he's not sure he can come out today. He then told me he would be out at 2pm. 430pm comes and he finally shows up. He checked my mare because She was dropping alot of food so I assumed she needed her teeth done. Her left eye was cloudy, I had no idea why, but assumed the vet would be able to help. She got an all around check up. He gave me a clean bill of health on her. And told me she didn't need her teeth checked again for 6months to a year. This past weekend I sold her. The new owner got her vet out the next morning. Her vet found an ulcer in her eye, thrush in her feet, ulcers in her mouth along with many hooks and over grown teeth.I'm very disappointed in the Stuart Vet Clinic. I will not be using them again, nor will I recommend them.

We cannot thank the staff and (Dr. Callie Garoutte),her asst. , and Carla ♡ for their care and concern they give . From the beginning to the end of caring for our Kookerhondje ,Carly, they have been most compassionate.Thank you for your help and concern and being so generous at giving us the time we needed to be with our 'Carly ' as she crossed her rainbow bridge today. I had called about a week ago due to my kittens being sick. We had told them the symptoms and asked if they could see them. Their answer was we had to pay in order for the kittens to be seen. We had told them we didn’t have the money at the time and their response was and I quite “ can you borrow it from someone otherwise we can not help you” 2 if my kittens have now died due to them not being seen. They rather have money than help sick animals.
