Unique selection. Spotty but consistent sales. Fun to shop at. Watch expiration dates but they a pretty good rotating stock. Fairly-priced beef and chicken even in late 2022 when it seems like prices are exploding. Fair and fresh - best beef in at the best price probably in the whole state and for sure better than anything Hy-Vee could ever sell you. A good deal on USDA choice, angus, and even the occasional prime cut of meat. I've never even seen USDA select, which means they only get the better beef to resell. I am of equal distance to Stuart and Atlantic, which has a Wal-Mart, a Hy-Vee, and a Fareway - and I will almost always head to Stuart to a little unassuming grocery store in the small town.Had .8# of sirloin tonight... it was $4.07. Cheaper than a quarter pound burger at McDonalds, buttery and delicious. Recent big fan. Customer forever. This is where you NEED to go for meat.

Staff is very nice. Bakery! Manager is great keeping fresh food up. While she was on vacation 2 workers sold me chicken strips that were old refused to fry fresh! After I stepped away they were high five and laughing. Then put down fresh as a customer they should not argue with me. I will not go back unless manager is working!

Not a bad store at all by any means. I was rather impressed at the wide selection of products to choose from. Even from a small town. It was very well stocked and faced. Prices are reasonable, a bit more expensive than anticipated, but average for a small town. Staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere made it feel more appealing and welcoming than the bigger stores.

Great general grocery store, prett mucb all you need. Has a variety of homecooked foods inc rotisserie chicken, pasta, subs and various others. Average pricing.

It was friendly, but they ran out of hot food, like fried chicken and sides, etc. and it was early! The sun was still out and there were other people in front and behind me asking the same thing; "are you going to cook any more chicken?"... "No!" Nothing else, just No, period. "Oh kay-dokay, then! " 😵‍💫🤪

The staff is great. Super friendly and knowledgeable. The store definitely needs a facelift. Front entrance is not very inviting with ceiling tiles that are wet and falling in. The store supports a community of 1589 people. It should be able to spruce up the front entrance.

Don't judge this store by it's cover. It looks like a morton building outside.Inside you will find a clean, well-stocked grocery store. Large variety for a small town. The cashiers are friendly. They also have a hot deli counter. I've yet to try it, bit the fried chicken smells great.

The Hometown Foods deli counter is always a good choice for lunch. Their selection varies by day, so if you go multiple days a week you are good and a person (or group) can always find something that they like. Prices are reasonable. Fresh cut meat selection is proportional to the size of the store, so don't expect too much, but they've got the regular staples.

It was a very convenient stop for us traveling along I-80. We found everything we wanted (good selection). Prices were just ok. Cheaper than a convenience store for sure. I might suggest they improve the lighting in their store.

Great place to get your grocery and a wonderful meal at the deli, or just a great pkace to shake up your burger habit or sub sandwhich habit. Great home cookef food to warm you up on these coming chilly days.

Very pleasant. I bought some salt and a loaf of bread. Took I 80 over. Jackie mccorkel whom I used to work with at the kopper kettle was my cashier. She's a good person and a good 👷 p. S. Mother always tells me I should put one in the freezer.

Went to get two five gallon water bottles. Ask two young men who worked there for help putting them in cart and then taking to car. They went straight to the water bottles, loaded in cart, and then were there to take it to car. Great help!!

It offers a wide variety of options for such a small town. The service could use some improvement though, kinda slow and and sometimes theres no-one at the counter, but it's a nice little store. It also offers cooked food made at the store if you're interested in that kind of thing.
