Store should close at 8:50 pm. Sign says closed at 9 . Walked in to get bath soap for my kids and was refused to be checked out at 8:57. Manager says I shouldn’t be so rude to enter a business minutes before closing. Never been treated so poorly. Just go to the Walmart.

We have been here many times over the past 4 years and have always been treated very well. Unfortunately one RUDE older woman in particular with short dark hair (I would list her name if she wore a name tag) acts like she hates her job and everyone who comes into the store. My young daughter heard her use profanity which is extremely unprofessional!

This location should probably change their hours of operation, because the short haired manager twice now has been rude about it and told us we can’t come in well over 15 minutes left before closing.You’re in the service industry, no need to be rude to customers who are just grabbing one or two things and can be in and out quick.

This store has the unfriendliest staff ever!! Manager just walks by as there's a line of 9 people!! Absolutely no hello, thank you or anything when you enter or exit!! Ridiculous!! Saddest store I've ever seen!! No wonder I like Spencer's better!! Get a clue people

Waited in for for 45 minutes to checkout. The cashier said either people can wait or they can leave. Just as rude as the other two seeing the line and not helping. One was even the manager. Not sure why I still shop here. 😠 😡

I don’t get how you guys still have the short, short hair, black hair, manager? She is awful to customers and I know a lot of people who won’t go back! Everytime I go in there I can’t believe she hasn’t been fired yet!! She acts miserable to everyone. So many bad reviews on her, corporate really should pay attention. She’s so rude.

Rude!! Is that a requirement for employment at Spirit Lake Dollar Tree? Virtually every interaction I have with a clerk there is a cold stare or actually making rude comments. I avoid having to go in there.

My sister's daughter was shopping for Halloween accessories and accidently dropped a black nail polish and it broke. So her mom took it up front and told the cashier and offered to clean it up. Then the manager came over mad because someone dropped black nail polish. And the cashier said yes she's offering to clean it up. The manager got mad and said, "I'll do it myself I don't need it smeared!" Then my daughter asked about accessories to be a Cat and the manager said very snippy,"you won't find that here we are out." Then her 12 year old daughter found them anyway in the toy aisle.

Waked in about 8 mins to closing knowing exactly what we needed. Walk in the store and the lady with short hair pops her head out and in a very rude manner says. “You guys have like 3 mins you know that right” as I was very aware of what time it was. I said back yes I’m aware of what time it is. She rolls her eyes and walks back to the room. Very upset about the service I received. No matter what time it is you treat your customers with respect and you greet them respectfully with a hi or whatever you want but not a rude manner like how I just got.

This store might possibly be the worst store I've shopped at. It has arguably the worst employees I've ever witness, it's a shock that it's still visited by people. Three weeks ago I was shopping for candy and toys for my little brother's birthday, and when I asked for help I heard at least one(there could have been more, I have no idea) employee call me several slurs, most notably the "R" and other racial slurs. It took me until now to be able to leave this review, the trauma and disgust over the entire situation has left me feeling ashamed. I will never set foot in this Dollar Tree again, and it's a shame that such employees are allowed to be this way to honest, paying customers.

So my daughter goes into dollar tree she is mixed and greets the cashier elizabeth nicely she totally ignored her. My daughter watched as a white woman said the same thing and elizabeth was all happy and replied back smiling! She ignored my daughter for no reason! The manager kelly with the short hair is known for being disgusting to ustomers i have heard that she has thrown itens down at customers and gone even as far as tormwnting a disabled girl who worked their to tje point of tears and finally quit.WHY IS THIS ALLOWED???

Do not go to the Dollar Store in Spirit Lake IA! The customer service is HORRIBLE! stopped in 2 days ago (Saturday 26th) inquiring about ordering balloons for a funeral service being held today. I asked about getumtjng 75 to 100 balloons filled and she said they could do it the day that I came in while I was shopping through the store. We stopped in today to get them done and the employee working says she cannot fill them since we have no order. We filled her in on the fact that these were for a funeral and that we had talked to an employee on Saturday who said we could... this employee could have cared less and refused to contact the supervisor. When we told her it was for a funeral she said thats not my problem. I can't imagine thats how this company would want its employees to treat its customers. We then asked for a number for corporate and she said I don't know you can look it up yourself. We then told her we would buy them in 10 balloons increments since we had multiple people with. She finally agreed to do it... but as she was filling the balloons she would throw the strings towards us and was rude the WHOLE time. If the week wasn't bad enough having to deal with a death dealing with an employee who has ZERO customer service skills and would treat customers so poorly is absolutely crazy.

Online this store is labeled open at 10am on Sundays. There is 2 store hour signs on the front building that also read they open at 10AM. The doors remained locked and employees state they won't open till noon! I am from out of town and this is very frustrating.

Very bad customer service very rude! The masks that they were wearing very dirty and disgusting the store seems very dirty also! I have been in there like three times and every time I have the rudest person and always a different person either they need a new manager or need to get better employees!

I couldn't ask for better co workers these women have extremely busy jobs and yet they took the time to come to a fellow co workers funeral to show comfort and support for me..I too am a Dollar Tree employee RIP Brian you were so much loved..
