We are new to Spencer, and it is great to live in a town again with a well run grocery store. Clean, organized, and brands we trust. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. The checkout is quick even when busy. The self checkout is an option, but plenty of other isles are staffed.

The manager has zero people skills. The customers are always impatient and rude. The pharmacy is always slammed busy and never has their drive through open.

The only complaint I have is on the liquor side when you get checked out they have an employee with his hat on backwards like he's a gangster.

I order my groceries for delivery from this store, and the employees always promptly notify me if an item is out of stock. They offer alternatives as well.I also use the pharmacy. The employees have gone out of their way several times to make sure my med is ordered, on its way to the store, and then filled before I run out (which is very critical for my health).

This is our local Hy-Vee grocery store, and we shop here routinely. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. We also use their pharmacy for all our prescriptions, and the pharmacists are very knowledgeable.

There is a right and a wrong way to say things and your closer tonight (Wednesday 6/7/23) was rude. Just because you say it with a smile doesn’t take away from how rude you talk.From now on I will be getting my groceries at Fairway or Walmart where they have better attitudes and better customer service.

This is a good Hy-Vee for the most part the people are friendly and they stay pretty well stocked on everything and there's a liquor store right inside. I would recommend it if you're in Spencer or live there.

Our family does a lot of our grocery shopping here and we've never had an issue, but the past few times we got cookies from the bakery section they weren't good. They are usually so soft and chewy but the past few times we got them they have a grainy texture, almost like the sugars didn't dissolve. Has anyone else had this issue?

Super large Hyvee. Kinda like a hyvee on steroids 🙂. Has the standard Starbucks in side. Has great selection & low every day prices. I noticed had some specialty local foods not available at every hyvee. Which was nice to see more local produce. I'm from the twin cities, so it's nice to see something that stands apart from the rest.

This is a small store for the chain, but it had almost everything we needed. Produce is nicely displayed and everything was crunchy and delicious. Other items were easy to find and there were no empty shelves. Their cut flowers were priced reasonably and exceptionally pretty. They also had a dollar rose special that would be decorated by their florist and then donated to a nursing home.

This place seems to have a great selection of products compared to other grocery stores. It's a bit more expensive than, lets say, Wal Mart but I can't stand going there so I can definitely appreciate a place like this. Always get help from staff when needed and get checked right away. They also have a HUGE selection of booze to choose from which is priceless when you live in a world like today. 🤨😆

Went to Pharmacy for my Covid 19 vaccination booster.All went well. Was fast service with very nice workers.Also did some grocery shopping. One item that was on sale was sold out. The meat department was very happy to give me a "rain check" for the product when it is resupplied. Very good experience overall.My recent visit to this store was impressive! IAM finding their weekly sales much better recently than my normal choice for grocery shopping. It's important to watch the ads.In the past two weeks I have ate at the Hy-Vee deli. Very very good.. especially the Oriental food. I highly recommend there food service.

The bagging associate did A FANTASTIC job!! I was definitely very happy when I got home. The checker was friendly and pleasant...I gave four stars because she didn't give me my (2-cent) fuel saver from apples. Not a big deal.

Hy-Vee is becoming as disappointing as Walmart. The most expensive place in town to but groceries and now self checkouts and as had been the case for decades no customer service for carrying your purchases to the car. I miss the days of customer service which reflects customer appreciation!

The folks here are so helpful and so kind. I was trying to head to the Bathroom and I had a wonderful employee super concerned if there was a place to change my daughters diaper. It is always a great experience here and the health food, and organic options is one of the reasons we travel a great distance just to come here!

They're having problems stocking advertised specials. Today one of the Wow Wednesday specials was 6-pack Pepsi for $1.88...at 6pm they had run out...no rain checks available. This is happening more frequently. Hy-Vee mgmt doesn't really seem to care about shortages anymore.

This store is always excellent with service. Just wanted to say thank you for making our Thanksgiving great this year. First time we stayed home and didn't travel for Thanksgiving and had our kids home. We had HyVee do one of their Thanksgiving meal boxes with Turkey, Stuffing, Potato's, Green Bean Casserole, and Pumpkin Pie. It was all very tasty and cooked perfect where we only had to put things in the oven for 30 minutes. Its a great service. Thanks again!

Great)) Chinese food and a comfortable place to sit a d enjoy.Unlimited soda refills.The meal comes with your choice of rice or noodle. 2 entries a egg roll and fortune cookie. I have seen it as low as $4.99On the negative side do not fall for the $4.99 seniors deal, the only difference is you get less food

Mother's day 3 of us waited for an hour and a half to get cold eggs. First time there, last time. I actually went and purchased groceries while my husband and son stayed there. I got back and our food was still not ready. I decided to take my groceries to the truck. Came back still no food.

Recent changes to certain aspects of this location have changed my perspective. The grand buffet offered is no longer as grand with changes in the menu. However, the store always seems to be neat and tidy with knowledgeable staff and a wide selection. They have a pharmacy as well as a wine and spirits selection. The Starbucks within the store also makes for a pleasant aroma when walking in.
