Spencer ,Iowa Dunhams. The manager would not honor sale prices. Under armor sweatshirts had over 7 signs across top of display saying $39.99 and on the table that I picked up sweatshirt from had two sale signs. First it rang up $65 which he said was not on sale. Showed him the pile of sweatshirts from display which included 10 of the same sweatshirts I had at the counter. He then said it was 25% off which brought it down to $45. Told him I wanted the price listed on sale signs. Nope. Would not honor it. Left all the items I was going to purchase and left store. Won’t be back. You just lost a customer who bought guns, ammo, shoes and lots of Christmas items consistently.

I was taken aback initially in dealing with the employee who came to assist me because initially he was rude and sarcastic and it was like he didn't want to assist me, his attitude got a little better near the end of my $500 purchase. I really wanted the item I bought otherwise I would have left, from the first I noticed his attitude. I'll have to give it more thought before I visit this store again.

Went in trying to purchase a .22lr guy working refused to sell to me said I had to have a driver license even though I had my military ID pretty sure that guy was racist.

Went in to potentially buy golf clubs. Sorry to say mediocre selection to be had. Being one of the only sports stores around you would think they'd do a better job stocking what's selling. After searching the whole store for someone to assist us. We ended up having to stand in line to ask the cashier. And was notified they only had 3 people working on a Saturday and 2 were on break.? Needless to say the guy that came up front was no help and actually quite rude.

Went to buy a canopy that was on sale. One of the managers was very helpful in finding it for us. When we went to check out it did not ring up the right sale price, another manager said it was the right price. We went back and brought up their sale sign. The cashier called the original manager up that helped us in the beginning and corrected the price. Thank you!!! Wish I would have seen the name tag on the poor excuse of a manager.

Tried to exchange shorts. Manager refused to look up receipt. Tags still on clothes she wouldn’t give us near what we paid. Then she proceeded to go to the next customer and coworker and talk about us for exchanging shorts.

Making a simple exchange for a different size should be simple, yet not at this store. The cashier sighed multiple time, rolled her eyes and then the manager (Lori) who we imagined would save the day and prove professional al was more awful than the cashier. Such a shame that their customer service makes it miserable to spend your money locally.

The staff here is incredibly rude. When asked for help, they roll their eyes, drag their feet, and make snide comments about how they're so busy when they were just wandering around the store in circles (literally). They don't care about customer service or doing a price check. I will never shop here again. We left our $150 purchase at the check out and told them we didn't want any of it because they didn't want to go look at the price of an item that didn't ring up the price it was marked on the shelf. They argued up a storm about it instead of just going to look at the price on the shelf. I told them fine, keep it all, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Horrible management at this location. I drove 45 min to purchase a flat weight becnh that I need asap to be told they couldn't find one in the back so I asked if I could buy the display model. Was asked if I was willing to wait for a call back from the store when they found one from another store since this item was not available for special order. I tryd to explain how desperate I was to have one today this is why I drove 45min instead of Amazon. But was told the manager said sorry they couldn't help me. Witch is true I could hear her on the phone with her employee. The three times I've been in this store it's taken over 30min to be check out or assisted. Would not recommend this store such a waist of space. Better of on line shopping better customer service for sure. And better prices!

I went in to return an item and i had a couple questions prior to exchanging. The girl at the counter kept getting text messages on her watch and as Im trying to talk she would look at her watch and read her message! I went and got something to exchange my item with and she rang me up. As she was ringing me up she got more messages so she would atop what she was doing and read her messages! What is wrong with some people now adays! Horrible customer service! Someone needs to teach this employee service.

We have our extended family Christmas today and we had to stop to get a few items that we needed last minute. get a pair of snow-boats and I found my size and took the box off the shelf and placed it on the floor as there is no bench or anything to sit on to try shoes on. I tried them on And they were too small so I checked the size and it was a size 8, even though the box said size 9 and the other boot in the box was a size 9. So I found two more boxes and was trying to find the other size 9. I found it and put them in the right box together. Then I saw some other ones I liked at the other end of the shelf so I went over and looked at those and while I was doing that, the manager walk up and says, and I quote “come on lady, don’t be rude and make a mess for me to clean up! I have better things to do!” As she was picking the boxes up and putting them back on the shelf. I said, “They were mixed up and I had to find the right size for one, and I am still looking, I am not sure which ones I am going to get. I would have picked them up once I decided which pair I am getting. And for 2, I am a customer, you’re supposed to respect customers.” She then walked towards me aggressively and stomped her foot in front of me with her hand out and a little metal tack in her hand and said, “I’m not going to respect people who are taking tags off of the boots!” And by then I had it. I said, “Wow! You have cameras in here correct? Why don’t you go look at them! I did no such thing! How dare you accuse me of that!” She knew she went too far by that time and so she started to say something about me being careful and not poking myself with the tack. I said to her that if I weren’t in such a hurry I would not be buying my items and I would go elsewhere. So she started yelling at me to leave and I was walking away and towards the checkout and told her I was and I wouldn’t be back so she runs to my cart and takes All my items out of my cart And Tries to take them away from me. I grabbed them back and told her that was the last time she would act aggressively towards me or touch my things and she needed to leave me alone, go away! She kept yelling and making a scene telling me to just go! I stopped and by this time I’m in tears and I said, “ we are just trying to do some last minute shopping for my children for our family Christmas tonight and I don’t have the time for this and now one of my children won’t be getting a gift since you’re taking my items. I have done nothing wrong and you have harassed me, been aggressive towards me, and acted so so out of line! I will Be callIng your manager tomorrow!” My tears and frustration weren’t enough to make her quit. She Kept following me and asked if i wanted her name to give her manager and I said yes actually I do. She said her name was connie and to make sure I spelled it right! I said I could care less how your name is spelled. I walked to the checkout as quickly as I could an she hovered to see what I was speaking to the other employees about which was nothing about her. This was the 3rd time I have been in that store in the 13 years I have been in the area and it will be my last. I have never in my life been so disrespected as a customer in any establishment. That lady has issues and should be fired! I am a grieving mother who is just doing the best I can to make it through the holidays without one of my children who just 7 months ago past away. I had to bury my own child and the holidays are harder than anyone could imagine already. You never know what someone else is going through and that’s why you should always be kind. I cried the entire way to our Christmas and this has completely ruined my night that should have been a night to cherish with my 2 young children who I have left. She ruined that for me and my kids and family. What an awful and disgusting human being. I will be putting this on Facebook as a public post encouraging others to share. I hope that I can prevent anyone else from being abused and treated as awfully as this lady treated me!

Good sale prices on ammo every once in awhile if you watch the ads. Otherwise pretty pricy. Shop online much better prices for everything else normally.

They carry a vast amount of items not normally carried by other retailers. Prices can be a bit high but availability is best around.

Card system was being weird and the guys were less than helpful. Said too bad so sad, couldn't even be nice about it. Took money from my brothers account, but dunham's didn't get it, the system won't even read my card. Thanks for the help today...NOT!

Need to have more cashier's, stood in line for almost 15 minutes because the one cashier working can't override prices (nothing that had a clearance sticker on it was ringing up at the correct price) so kept having to call manager over who was trying to ring customers up on other register.

They need to tag there clothes right! There was a sticker that said 34 but rang up 50 and then charged us 50 . Horrible CS.

They have a large section of athletic apparel and gear. You will find better pricing online, but it is nice to have a local in-store option.

Needed orange apparel for hunting but they only had 3 coats. 6 orange vests. Was 2nd season for deer in IA. They were the only ones to have 2xL size ,1XL & 1L. Thank you Dunham's!

I was there with my friend...no one was in the shoe department...went up to the checkout...cashier said shoe assistant was on phone...she got off...cashier said this ladyneeds a pair of shoes brought up and then shoe assistant said well I don't know what shoes she needs then my friend said well I will tell you then shoe assistant thought my friend was rude and turned and walked away....they lost money because of here....I won't be back
