I adopted a dog said on his papers he was mild and jumped around kids. I don't have kids but neighbors and family members do. He jumped a 7ft fence ate a hole in the wall of the house and ripped apart a window ac I could deal with that. I brought him back because he did not like men or kids at all. He attacked a 3 year old but I couldnt put he bit any one one his paperwork because there was no puncture they put him back up for adoption the next day with no mention of his bad habits. The staff was very rude about it. I was all for adopt don't shop but after this horrible experience I bought a puppy from a breeder.

My precious cat that I had for 15 years passed away. I decided I needed to have another a new family cat. The Humane Society provided me Cosmo from their large selection of homeless pets. Loved the cat cafe.

What a wonderful, clean, and obviously pet friendly place! The staff truly cares for the animals, gives them love when they need it most. They helped us get a kitten, and he is a fun addition to our family. Top notch facilities that bring joy to so many. Great job!

We drove 4 hours to visit a puppy named Pippin, very sweetheart of a dog. Ended up adopting her. The staff was very helpful,but kinda felt like they were in big hurry for us to make our mind on adopting her, they asked us about every half hour if we had decided. She came from Texas and now lives in South Dakota. Adjusting to or cat and German Shepard very well.

Adopted our fur kitty here and so happy we did. Nothing wrong with businesses that breed for profit but rescuing made the bond even stronger. Thank you for our newest family member.Edit: just added a few photos to show how she's grown. She has surprised us in more ways than one. She started this as this timid scared kitty that didnt like any Other animals and has grown to love and accept not only her puppy brother and sister but took a 0kitten in as her baby sister (after a week of trying to hiss and hit, took some work lol) and showed her how to be the best kitty she could be. As you can tell in the photos they are inseparable =D.

We intended to go in to ask about volunteer hours and ended up adopting a kitten as well haha! Most of the workers or volunteers were wonderful, but the man helping us with jezabel and chip was very rough with them and basically threw them out way once they were out of their enclosures. I was very glad to get chip (now Severus) out of there and into our calm, welcoming home 🐈‍⬛🐾🖤

Great society to have local. Helpful, polite, and a good source of supplies. Cremation services for my best friend I lost this morning, glad they offer private cremations, same day. Couldn't be happier they helped.

the British male manger was the absolute worst. he threatened to fine us or be sent to jail if we didn’t get our dog fixed so we made the appointment & the vet called us after they cut her open to inform us that she had already been fixed… we spent money for nothing & put our dog through unnecessary pain. We went in to explain to the manger what happened & he just sat there talking over us saying it’s not his problem nor his fault & that he didn’t know if she was fixed or not. if you didn’t know, you should have relayed that information to us so that we could get it checked out instead of threatening us to get her fixed when she’s already been fixed. he was so rude & heartless so please if you ever get a dog from here & they tell you they have to be fixed by a certain date, make sure to get them checked just in case they were already fixed!! this place was ridiculous & nothing but rudeness.

We adopted a 5 month old cat. Were told he was up to date on shots and in good health. He had fleas, ear mites, and wasn't up to date on shots. Was told he'd adjust to bring around a dog. He's now attacking my 6 year old shih tzu everyday. We're trying everything we can to keep him but I don't think he's a good fit for our household. My shih tzu is losing fur and having gi issues from the fear and stress from this cat. We're heartbroken.

It's heartbreaking to see so many furbabies locked up, but at least they're safe. It was clean and didn't smell bad at all. Some kennels had toys and blankets. So not bad

I purchased a used dog from this location for the low price of $50. I could not ask for a better loyal friend. When I come home she is more excited to see me than my wife and kids. This shelter takes great care of their pets. I have also used their services for pet cremation in the past. The staff is always friendly and caring.

They were able to tell me everything they knew about the dogs, even though some came from Oklahoma and the shelter they came from didn't provide much information on them. The ladies who helped me were amazing and so helpful. We are bringing home a sweet girl to become a part of our family. We're so excited.

It's a very nice shelter. They are currently in the middle of some remodeling making it look very nice. The staff was amazing! They were all soo nice and helpful. We were able to meet the dog we were interested in an open air courtyard which gave him plenty space to choose to be near us. The adoption process was straightforward and easy to follow along. We successfully adopted the dog we visited and hope he's happy in his new home.

I have honestly never seen such an outstanding shelter..and I've adopted three times over the past 30 years. My husband and I were more than happy to donate to this exceptional place

They treated the dogs very nicely. The cats treated exceptionally. The bunnies were living their best loves. They treated all their animals nicely and get fairly. They are were healthy and a lot of them up to date on shots and vaccinations . The place was very clear. And the staff was amazing. I came in just to look but if you are looking for a permanent furry friend, I highly recommend.

I am trying to find a dog I can train to be a service animal. They were very helpful and said they would keep their eyes open. I volunteered there a couple of years ago. Loved it, can't now, I have MS.

Our Zeus passed away on the 3rd of November and we cremated him at the humane society... They were thoughtful and got Zeus back to us very quickly.... We appreciated that... They followed up with a sympathy card.... The rainbow Bridge poem and a certificate.... It was a kindness that helped the healing process....
