A majority of the cashiers at this store are rude and lack any semblance of customer service.Always have been.The cashier’s that have been there a while have found if they are courteous and friendly to me that there will be no problem… I’ll be courteous and friendly too.If I didn’t rely on this store and want it to succeed for the neighborhood I would not spend a dime there because of it.I don’t come to the store to cause problems or be difficult but I also don’t come to the store to be treated like an unwanted problem either.I’ve worked customer service jobs and would not have kept those jobs if I treated ANYONE the way I get treated far too often.Rude. Discourteous. Distracted.

This place used to be very clean and up kept I don't know where to begin. regarding the produce and meat section the cleanliness of this place I'm surprised a health inspector has not closed the doors to this place there is literally black furry mold growing on the food as well as the refrigerator areas that keeps food cool in the vents and that's not over exaggerating will post pics ASAP I picked up a package of chicken legs and I did not know that chickens had human hair lots of food is expired check the dates .I hope this place gets itsBusiness together

I'm used to Walmart and Hyvee, but since I've moved a couple blocks away. I shop here. It's limited and different brands. But I have no bad reviews or comments. They are super nice employees from my experience. Dollar general is around the corner, so I have learned if they don't have it. I'll check that store.

I feel a duty to notify the owner of this store on how their customers are being treated by their "employees". I went into this store at 8:45PM and the main doors were locked. So I went into the side door as someone was walking out. On the door it says they close at 9PM not 8:45PM. I was greeted with "were closed" by this lady working the register. I mentioned the time and she didn't care and stated they were closed again. I said I only needed one item and she said "you have five minutes" which still wouldn't have been 9PM. I went to grab my item and was screamed at across the store by an employee referred to as jr saying "WERE CLOSED WERE CLOSED WERE CLOSED" non stop. I was constantly harassed by your employees when I wasnt even in the store for two minutes. I noticed while checking out, other customers walked in and were turned away saying "were closed" the customers mentioned the time and the woman said "i dont care, i have a life too, you had all day to come here" and she rushed to lock the doors. I mentioned they should probably change their times because, if a customer at my work comes in 1 minute before we close, we still have to serve them without any harassment. It was unbelievable to me how poorly they treated the people that give them their business in the first place. I would have left negative stars if I were able to. I dont plan on returning to this store at all unless this is dealt with, and I know a lot of customers feel the same way after this treatment.

It was a great experience shopping at Save-A-Lot! Every item was faced & the aisles were well kept. The Produce section was astounding they had a great selection of fresh fruits & vegetables. The meat section was also very well kept and clean. Overall the prices were very affordable.

It's not too bad to shop for groceries. The meat and veggie sections are pretty good, and prices are fair. I'd give it 5 stars but some parts of the store are kinda dirty.

The kids that work there never know anything. Never helpful ever. You're staff is rude... Oh and I am a disabled woman living alone. Couldn't bring any food home cause gosh I needed to spend $3 to take money off my card right? I couldn't afford that. Thanks!! I was getting over $200+ in food. Had to leave it all and walk home. During this blizzard so thank you for that!!

For what they are, they are ok. My only complaint is i wish they carried more basic items and didnt carry as much of the "other" items like two refrigerators worth of alcohol and such.

Needs cleaning and their prices are seeming to increase... not friendly but it's a place to find a variety of items that aren't located elsewhere in most of sioux city so I appreciate it

Good variety of produce. Often had items cannot find readily elsewhere. Good prices. Be prepared for somewhat slower check out and to bag your own items. Worth the little extra effort.

I went in to grab a grocery item I needed that I missed because this is close to where I live. As I was obviously looking for something I couldn't find I thought a worker was going to come up to ask if I needed any help. Instead she aggressively told me my bag was too big. I said, my purse? She said yes, and that I would need to leave my purse, which was an actual purse not a backpack or whatever, at the front of the store. I'm guessing she thought I was going to steal something since this isn't in a nice neighborhood. There is no way I am going to leave my purse with all my information and money with some random kid at the front of the store, especially if it is the kind of place where people steal. I will not return, and I'd like everyone else to be aware of the expectations.

This place looks like Los Angeles. I literally couldn't believe it. I mean the girl at the register was nice and friendly, but this place man... I suppose I would call it like a dollar store grocery store. Everything seemed disheveled and in shipping boxes. I want sure where to find what I needed. Most of the things appear to be off brand that I've never heard of.Also, most importantly, I understand that almost everyone is just living their lives and shopping for groceries, and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but the crowd wasn't exactly what I would consider comfortable. If you're armed, and you don't mind the stink of B.O. then you'll feel comfortable shopping here.But I suppose anything is a step above Walmart.

The prices are really good, though there are some items you can't find here you can still get plenty of shopping done. My wife and I filled up a shopping cart for under $200. & I'm talking,to the rim.

The meat selection is really good. But the lack in pkg spices. Most of what I need I have to go to hy vee for. When they first opened it was great. Now they cater more to the Hispanic side. They need to bring in more American foods.

Best prices on groceries in sioux city, hands down. Also has lots of specialty and ethnic items. However, the produce does not last very long, making it not worth buying unless you plan to use it that day.

Have to pay for carts now. Of course I did not have a quarter on me. Weak selection Tiniest heads of lettuce I have ever seen, almost 3$. Cashier was friendly.

In Sioux City , i found only this place to buy halal food . Whenever I needed halal meat they brought me around 20 lbs for a reasonable price . They have a good number of Indian grocery items on the back of the store . Customer service agents are very helpful.
