Found a lot of stuff for two teenage boys and a college girl at ridiculously low prices compared to another Plato’s closet.Clothes are organized and maintained in colors and sizes. Racks full.Plenty of room to move around and find everything you need.Staff is friendly and courteous.

I was offered $24 for a brand new Tommy Hilfiger Rain coat that was $120 retail. Along with 4 other Pieces of clothing. I know the employees are just going to take it for themselves and resell it like they all do. But I accepted bc im facing a hardship and I needed whatever I could. Very sad to see this business totally rip people off tho. Would not recommend going here. And yes employees resell your clothes for themselves. I know an employee.

I dropped off a large 31 tote full of clothes, folded, and freshly washed some not worn. within three minutes of drop off I received a text that my clothes were done I called to check it wasn’t a mistake, when I got there, my clothes looked like they had been moved around on top. That’s it. They claimed over it was over 18 months and out of season but it’s impossible to check all the clothes I had in the tote in just 3 minutes. These kids didn’t want to do their job so they simply didn’t.

I've only been here about twice, but both experiences were very good for me!!! i got cute outfits at a very affordable price, and i will be coming here again whenever i want affordable and good quality clothes! i had a decent experience with the staff and some really great stuff can be found here, love it! (=^ω^=)

I was happy with what I was offered for selling my clothes, however, I have a mental disability and asked if they could donate any clothes they didn’t want to keep (I only had 1 box and it was used like new name brand clothing), because of my disability I had help bringing the box and couldn’t bring back anything with me because I was handling my service dog and taking bus transportation. The employees were extremely rude ( therefore I didn’t argue) and I tossed my clothes away outside in there trash can sadly. They trash any clothes left behind and I felt discriminated against my mental disability, and wish there was better communication and regards towards customers and better treatment with left behind belongings.

I walk in there's a young lady behind the counter taking people's clothing, I have clothes to sell she tells me to scan my Driver's license I look at the machine I told her I've never used the machine before she said put the ID behind the machine I did nothing happened she glared at me and did it for meno smiles or How are you today just plain rude Another young lady that works there kept belching loud and laughing about it

I'm disappointed in the buying. The website says buying good, clean clothing. Stylish as well. Had plenty of current names. If you want the Nike and under armor, just say only accepting these brands. Also waited over 1 1/2 hrs to get looked at. Saw them skip our clothes multiple times, pry since we had 3 boxes. No excuse. Not worth the hour drive!

The people working here have no clue what they are doing at the registers. Just young people who would rather joke around than actually help customers. They leave security tags on and it takes 15 minutes per person to check out because they have to bring someone else to the register to fix mistakes. Horrible experience. Hire people who know what’s going on.

My two kids and I were standing in line waiting to make a purchase. Little Miss in the blue sweatshirt left after the customer in front of us was helped. She then proceeded to do something random behind the counter. I was gathering my thoughts and anger when she saw customers come to a different register she came to help them LOOKED at me and proceeded to start to help them. I told her we've been waiting. She then came to help us. What was that all about, or why? Also why did I find a different associate standing right in front of my son's dressing room? She didn't leave until stared at each other then she asked if I needed to dressing room. I said I'm waiting for my son. She then walked away. What happened to this store? And total side note but you guys could afford to clean the shoes a little before you put them on the racks. They are absolutely disgusting. And how about not putting damaged/ stained clothes on the floor? If you like Shein , come here, for a second I thought I was standing in a physical location for Shein.

Racks were packed full and made it a little hard to shop but I did find some really cool stuff in the clearance here as well. We don’t have these type of stores where I’m from so it’s pretty exciting to find such good deals on such a variety of gently used clothing. I want to look for a Plato’s closet every city I visit now!😅

Staff in this store are disgusting! They were running around yelling like children, fighting over shoes they all want, cursing, ignoring customers, and having explicit conversations. Use caution with your kids in this store. I've shopped here off and on for years. Will never return and will share this.

I was really excited about going to get something special. When Plato's closet first opened I went there and it was really nice. But when I went there the other day I was very disappointed. I was looking through the clothes and I found holes in pants stained dresses and shirts . Some of clothes were frayed. The shoes were just something that could probably have gotten at Goodwill. It was very heartbreaking to see how bad the Plato's closet had become since I have baths gone.

They wanted to give me $1 each for my new items. The utter shamelessness and audacity of that glorified thrift store! NOPE right out of there with a quickness! A pair of Nike shoes there was horrendously filthy, black foot imprints👣 imbedded in the inner sole padding. Yikes & Yuck🤢!

The store is poorly lit so the stains on the clothing isn't as noticeable, they charge more than items are worth: especially considering how much they paid people for those cloths! All about making the money: not the customers. I've bought clothes which upon looking at when home, was saddened to see either stains, or holes that went unnoticed due to the poor lighting: I check clothing super carefully now. Every time I've used the fitting rooms, they're ridiculously & unacceptably dusty; it gets the cloths being tried on dirty. The organization could be a tiny bit better; like separating business attire from casuals. It seems like there's always a massive pile of clothing at the fitting room table: four feet high! Sadly none of these issues are surprising & it'd be pleasantly surprising if they weren't issues. These are common conditions for the stores in Sioux City, IA & Sioux Falls, SD. They have good variety in clothing, staff are friendly, polite, smile kindly, & talk about people behind their backs in a voice that's not discrete. Also something that's not surprising about these stores, considering the type of people they employ. Take that however you'd like: I mean exactly the words I wrote, & nothing more. I doubt I'll shop there again; but who knows, maybe I'll give them another visit.

Being new to the area, my boyfriend and I went to this location a couple of weeks ago and found and purchased a lot of clothing that we were happy with. In having a great first experience we decided to return back to the store. We arrived at 8pm, with the knowledge and understanding that the store closed at 9pm. We enter into the store and start looking for clothing, making sure we were tracking time. Around 8:40 an employee walked past and said a short but some what rude reminder that they closed in about 20 minutes and my boyfriend and I acknowledged. After, with the clothes in my cart I went to the fitting rooms to try on the clothes super quick since we live quite a ways from your store (more than a 40 min drive). I was continuing to check the time to make sure I wouldn’t be there when the clock hit 9pm. I’ve worked in customer service for the majority of my life and I have never been that person to stay past closing. As I’m in the dressing room, the same employee decides to come back and rudely state how they close in 10 minutes. I do understand the need to tell customers inside a reminder when they close, but to say it rudely once and then to come back and say it rudely twice is unnecessary especially when those people are trying to get out of there as quick as possible. That employee, whether or not she was anxious to get off work or had other plans, cost the store quite a bit of money tonight and frankly we may not return due to the poor attitude. It’s not recommended to hassle customers who are in the store shopping and getting ready to purchase items and leave DURING STORE HOURS. We were in the store well before closing and the fact that we felt rushed and pushed to leave is unprofessional.

Always love looking around and through the store for treasures! The reason this gets a 4 star this time was the fitting room pile was so tall that the employees could not see anyone over it so many of us had to walk around to ask for a fitting room. Also, the employees in front were very interested in gossiping about some person and I had to wait to check out. I know that these are very small things to be nit picky over but it does not make this location seem professional or that they do not treat their customers first.Was able to hit the clearance sale and obtained a bunch of clothes for cheap! Quite a few empty racks, however they do have signs notifying that they are making room for new items.

Look, I'm not one to write a bad review just because the service or store wasn't fantastic. I reserve my one star reviews for the REALLY bad experiences. This store... deserve a two. First off, the music was so loud I had to tell at the people with me for them to hear me. I understand wanting to keep the music up for the employees sake, but it was overwhelming. My main complaint is that the employees have ABSOLUTELY ZERO identification on them. Everyone in the store looked exactly the same, and I never had any clue who to ask for help. At least some name tags or badges or SOMETHING would help people know who to talk to. Also, the employees were super passive. They were super snarky and uninterested in helping me. The store is, like, fine. Messy but fine. It's used clothes. It's the employees who could use a lil extra customer service training.

The store has come a long way in terms of organization. That being said, I do find that there are quite a few items either stained, with holes, etc. or are just plain gross, especially shoes and jeans. And there are many items way overpriced. Asking $35 for a used pair of jeans with a stain on them is crazy. I also saw quite a few WalMart brand tanks for $5-$6. You can buy these brand new for $3-$4 at WalMart. The rewards system is not great either. I have spent hundreds of dollars and just got a $10 off. More percent off rewards would be nice.

I just bought five nice shirts for under $30 from here so I'm happy, but often the finds here are hit and miss. Not atypical for a thrift store, I suppose. For me, Plato's is a staple response to the question, "So where do you want to check for a good deal on....(a dress, a t-shirt, a purse)?" However, it's not the most organized little store and can be kind of a pain to browse through. It's kind of floor-to-ceiling with a variety of secondhand goods, some of which are a great deal and some of which are quite overpriced for being a little too faded and not the best brand. As stated, though, I do consider it a staple thrifting stop in this town and am grateful it's here. One thing I will say is that for the fellas, it's 90% jeans, tees, and active wear with very little in the way of, say, business casual. Unfortunate, since there's usually a good amount of semi-dressy stuff for women.

They lost a pair of never worn Nikes I brought in and everything I asked about earlier about what they needed most they turned away. The only thing they wanted was 2 pair of shoes one in great shape originally $220 and the pair they lost. For $22. Edit: yes I went back and everyone was amazing. Edit (again) most employees are great but I had one treat me like an idiot for asking a question.

An honest review.I loved shopping here. BUT today as of Sunday July 26th, 2020 I won’t ever try to sell them any of my clothing again. I drove OVER an hour just to sell them four pairs of name brand jeans! They had no stains, tears or hard wear to them. Three out of the four pairs have only ever been wore once! I also took three name brand shirts in, no stains, tears or anything. They only took one shirt and only wanted to give me a $1 for it. I paid $25 for the shirt brand new just a few months ago.. And didn’t want any of the name brand jeans. When I told them I had drove over an hour away just to do this she just said “sorry there’s nothing I can do”. The website needs to be updated on what they will and won’t take if they want people to drop of clothing and be more specific in what they will take. I am very disappointed in them.

Very organized and clean the store smelt really good to. Friendly staff and also came home with a few things. I love platos closet we have one back home in Louisiana so I love visiting the location in the states we travel to.
