I purchased a new storm door from them and had very little help to get it installed. The contractor's they provided is negative to say the least. Several will not return your phone calls and one didn't work for them anymore. It's been several months now and still I am looking for a installation company. I don't recommend this company for purchases like this one that also do the installation.

Pretty bad. You go there to buy a pot plant for $25. There's no tag on it. I wait 15 minutes. Why the 2 people sit there? Try to to look it up. I ended up end up leaving with no plant Good service, very lazy...... Spend your money somewhere else

Gotten lots of supplies here for our remodel, cabinets, doors, paint, sink. Items came in at expected times, couple of cabinet doors had some flaws and they are sending replacements with no problems.

I did speak with store manager and he said he will address the issue and try to make sure it doesn't happen in the future. Add on. TAKE PICTURES OR WRITE DOWN PRICES FOR YOU PURCHASES. Went to Menards to grab a few items, one of which was a Closetmaid 2-door stackable organizer. I noticed right when the receipt printed out that we was overcharged, AGAIN! I Immediately brought it to the cashiers attention but she acted as if she couldn't be bothered and proceeded to start ringing up the next customers items, I asked her so do I have to have customer service take care of this now? She didn't answer, so I had to spend more time to get back the money that Menards tried to steal from me. I don't know if this is just incompetent employees or a bigger issue with the business/s because it just happened another store right before I went to Menards, and another store the evehese businesses are making lots of money off these "mistakes", and it seems to happen more on the sale, and or the holiday items which have an increased number of sales, and lets face the truth these businesses aren't attempting to return the money to people they overcharged.Rushed, followed, poor store brand quality (what good is a warranty if you are guaranteed to have to use it because they knowingly make bad products), cashier said employees following customers is a normal practice, spoke with assistant store manager so they could investigate the issues. Lack of variety. They do have some employees that care about customers and are willing to help. The rebate they constantly run makes their prices about the same as all the other stores, and seriously if your going to run non-stop rebates then just lower your prices 11% instead of making so many people waste paper. The rebate slips and the extra receipt paper and ink are costing you money, then the customer has to use envelopes and stamps, It's wasteful and only costs more money and time for both the business and customer. Put those resources into the store where it will benefit everyone.

Menards is a joke. If it wasn't for the prices the service would definitely not be a reason to come here. My co-worker and I needed to pick up lumber the other morning and went to the board shed. When we started loading there was not just 1 employee near us, but 5 people. Not one person offered to help. I said "boy it would be great to have some help". Not one person even stopped to ask if I needed help. A fork lift was in middle of the road and had to carry boards couple extra feet, no big deal. A heavy guy said"can't you drive all the way around the shed to the othe sides to make it easier"? Really it's only 20 more feet to carry this, well he walked off because that was to much work for him.

We ordered a fair amount of wood for a warehouse shelving project on a Tuesday to pick up Wednesday morning. They said we would have to pick and load but they would have someone to help. No help of course. Pretty disappointing. That's a good gig to sell that product and not have to lift a finger to help.

I did a special order and after 2 trips to Sioux City to get the materials, it was still wrong. I spent over $100 in gas and still didn't get my order. Customer service was helpful but the process of getting a special order was very difficult and I spent more than any savings I had with not just getting at my small town lumber yard

Came in to buy some paint, 2 female staff where just hanging out talking and paid no attention. I asked for some restroom paint, just plain white, she pointed didn't even bother to get up. All they had was a deep base, so I went back to ask if they had any regular base, she said whatever we have on shelf, a male staff over herd and said yes we do, she just walked away and kept gossiping with the other staff, meanwhile the male staff got on forklift and got my paint. Terrible customer service by female staff.. won't ask them for any help

I am thoroughly disappointed in a large company like this that has shady false advertisement inside the store and refuses to honor prices that are posted. When shown a picture of the sign, the sign is verified by the staff, and the staff admits they created and posted the sign, they still refuse to honor the advertised price.

Very Disappointed with this store , looked online , product in stock . I went to the counter to purchase an item 279 pieces in stock , went out to load it up and zero in stock! Amazing ! The guy at the gate to go load your item up has no idea where the product is at and then roots through everything like your a thief, no THANK YOU !!!!! Then have to go back inside to get your money back , wait in line again . Totally disappointed, then they have no idea when they will get anymore product at all ! Never again !!!!

I ordered a counter top and one piece came in damaged and the other was cut to the wrong length. They replaced the damaged piece but expect me to pay for the other, pay a 25% restocking fee to return it or cut it to the right length myself or pay a contractor to do it. I will also have to by an end cap for the miss cut piece. My parents had a similar incident with them as well. Horrible experience, Horrible customer service. Would never recommend and will never do business with them again.

I get more upset every time I visit the Sioux City store. This time I went in to return a trimmer that I'd only had for a month but hasn't worked correctly for 3 weeks. After arriving at the customer service desk I was told I needed to remove the last three drops of gas in the tank. I went out and did this and came back in. It was obvious that the girl behind the counter I had no idea what she was doing she was also as pleasant as someone on death row. After someone was called from that department they came up to tell me that I cannot return it because I'd had it more than 7 days. I would have to take it to one of their approved mechanics to have him say it was broken! I asked them why this wasn't posted on my receipt they said it was posted in that department near the trimmers.I then proceeded to ignore most of my list and only buy one item from the store, a ceiling fan. I get this item home and look in a box and find parts missing as a must have been a restock. But nothing was noted on the outside of the box. I spend thousands of dollars at this location through the years I will not spend another dime. I then proceeded to go to home Depot and was served by people who know what they are doing, actually acted like they liked working there, and we're pleasant. I'm so tired of going into the store and being served by grumpy people who don't know what they're doing and don't care if they give decent service. Needless to say avoid the store at all cost!!!

The parking lot was stunning and beautiful. I really enjoyed sitting in my car within that gorgeous lot. All the other people seemed to excited and happy as they walked down the lot. All the cars were beautiful for sight seeing. I listened to music while sitting in the parking lot, as I waited to pick up my girlfriend. 10/10, would recommend.

Went in to get wood for corn hole game. I think Ryan in building materials, helped me pick out the plywood and 2x4's needed and brought them up to register. He did a great job and knowledgeable. saved me money!! register person Nicole was very nice and carry guy was too!! They did great.

Amanda was so helpful, the Christmas tree we wanted was out of stock and could not be reordered but Amanda sold us the one on the sales floor and helped us break it down and load it up. She was so friendly. She dropped what she was doing to help us. Thanks Amanda!

When it comes to Menards, the Spencer location is by far the best one. Always friendly staff, great variety of items for both inside and outside. The Menards in Sioux City, I can not say the same. An employee was well beyond rude to me.What he over heard me speaking to a couple of department managers in regards to wearing masks. This was when Masks were required last year after the State had opened the store back up. I had informed the 2 floor managers that I had seen several employees without their masks on. The young man who had been bringing carts from the parking lot in, while I can't say the word here, it rhymes with Duck, he not only said that to me, said it in front of the two individuals who did nothing said nothing. He continued to follow me outside repeating it over and over as I walked to our vehicle! I did call the store and ask to speak to the store manager and reported him. Needless to say I have never been back nor will I ever go back. Before the event, when compared to the Spencer, the Sioux City location never had the selections that Spencer does. Since the day Spencer Opened their Menards, we have always had nothing but great service, always found what we have needed and more.

Wow...I honestly don't expect any actual customer service at Menards. But the Sioux City location actually set a new LOW MARK FOR SERVICE..even for Menards. They close at 9pm but at 730pm the ONLY person who can take a cabinetry order is AT LUNCH...BUT YOU CAN WAIT 30 MINUTES.....because according to the Mgr the customer spending $10K isn't a big deal.... and as far as DOING HIS JOB and making sure there was a backup when an employee is at lunch... he had nothing to say but gibberish and unexplainable excuses. No time to resolve a customer issue.It's just a 5 minute drive to Home Depot.

The company is out-dated and sells low-quality products the buyers got for next-to-free. Great if you want everything to work exactly the same as it did in the 90’s! (30 years ago) They can’t keep any employees at this location. The ones that have been there for a long time are unprofessional and only still employed because they are desperate for help. Additionally, they have been cited by OSHA for violations on multiple occasions but still haven’t fixed said violations. They’d rather front the fines then worry about safety of customers and employees. This is a terrible place to shop, work, and just a general scourge to the community.Siouxland has plenty of other options; try them!

Do not order online from Menards! Went online to order globes for our light fixture. Looked up the fixture and ordered what they said would work for what we had. It did not. $20 to ship it back so we waited to take it back to a store. Since they did not stock what they sent us that did not work there was a 25 percent restocking fee. Luckily the store manager helped us and waved the fee. I will shop at the store but never online with Menards again.

When ordering decking 1st order 4 boards damaged. 2nd order 1 board damaged. 3rd order 3 boards damaged. Hand rails didn't get the caps and brackets.

Worst customer service. I’ve worked retail for 13 years and they had 3 toys in front of a $12.91 price tag. After 3 employees checked and double checked they blamed me for taking the tag out and would not honor the price.I’ll be traveling further to go to another menards from now on.Work on your customer service

My wife and I came here looking for a quote on a new fencing project and new deck project we are trying to do. We used the design center kiosk to design both the fence and the deck and it gave us a list of materials and how much it would all be. We found a few extra things along the way. The staff was very nice.

Always a well stocked store with items that we need. Able to walk in and grab what we need and head out with out any issues. Well stocked garden section, however it seems to be a smaller selection than years past.

only went because only store that had items. online order/pickup is terrible. ask at front desk - it's in back corner. area not marked clearly. give me sheet and say its outdoors. drive thru security gate. bins arent clearly marked. drive thru 2x. pull over and search for someone who says it should be back bu security gate entrance. finally find it. items are all zip tied together. have to drag to gate to get clippers to separate. pay 1.40 online order processing fee and have to go through all that. smh i hate menards and their rebates. just give me sale price so i never have to come back in here.

The cashier, customer service, men at the gate, lady at order pick up were all very polite and helpful. The last two made calls to the garden center to help me load up the items I purchased. However, no one ever showed up to help. Another customer helped me load then I helped her load up her items. (We were there for 30 minutes or more, each of us bought 100 edgers.) I then had 6 bags of mulch to load, as I was loading the last one a worker finally asked if she could help! Really I expected better service.
