I personally like some of the Key brand jeans, shirts, and other items in clothing, you can feel the durability and quality of the items. I recommend Bomgaars to people mainly for the clothing. They do have a fair variety of many other items. Staff has been courteous and eager to help. Lots of toys, tools, seasonal items, and many other supplies. Also the only place I've found Palmer's candy gummy worms and candies that the main store don't even carry which is odd. Bomgaars has a second location on about the 1800 block of Hamilton which seems larger.

Bomgaars Garden Center, freshly stocked with perennial’s (flowers that come back year after year), annual’s (flowers that bring vibrant color for one season), Ornamental Grass (deep rooted and suitable for Midwest heat & wind), shrubs and veggies - make for curb appeal and beauty in your garden, whether a plot of land or containers. This year we were looking for some tried and true stand-by Perennial’s and Bomgaars had them!Black Eyed Susans, Purple Coneflower, Salvia, Meadow Sage, Yarrow, Sedum and Blanket Flowers all bloom from Summer till frost and will survive the winter and spring new growth the next year. Talk about bang for your buck! Picked up a cute watering can planter and some annuals on discount to round out our display. So much of the Midwest year is cold and bare, no matter your space, take a moment to cruise through the garden center and take a little bit of joyful color home with you.

Boots are always needed here in Iowa, when I was in need of a new pair they kindly tracked down and ordered my size. It wasn't too long after I received a courtsey call letting me know they've arived. My coworkers ask me where I got my boots out of admiration and where they can pick up a pair. Bomgaars is where I'll send them.I've even purchased boot snow chains for when the winter freezes the parking lot.

I had a lot of fun at this place. I was like a kid in a candy store. They have baby bunnies baby chicken. They also have cat food dog food and you can even buy clothes here. I also noticed that the merchandise was high end yes it costs more to shop here but it's worth it. I also enjoyed the friendly staff and helpful tips from the floor staff. In the end if I had to choose what place to buy good merchandise bomgaars would be the place to go. In the end it well worth the visit.

In the store, Sioux City Gordon Drive, a guy loaded 40 lb of birdseed in my cart. At checkout I ordered 2 bags of potting soil. One young man let me use the cart to get to my car as I walk with a cane. He then returned the cart for me. I drove to the potting soil and two young men loaded the potting soil in my trunk. I tried to tip them but they refused the tip. BEST SERVICE EVER... THANKS !!

I was so disappointed with this place. They've completely sold out. I went shopping for work boots only to find cheap, low quality Chinese communist products for since of the highest prices I have ever seen in my life. Obscene prices that make no logical sense. I was so disheartened by this sick greed that I put all of my other clothing and products back. I didn't even buy food or pop.I instead went to Fleet Farm and found work boots made in the USA for $25 dollars. A trusted brand I used to wear.

Great hometown store. A dying breed for sure with Walmart and all the big corporations taking over everything. These guys have people willing to help and ready for you to check out and they make sure you found everything you were looking for. They have everything from some groceries, like old time candies to live baby chickens or everything to keep them healthy. Great crew guys.

Very disappointed in the fact that NO employee was wearing a mask. One employee was coughing constantly in the next aisle while I tried to find the correct hardware for a project - very disturbing. I used to love this store but if they don't feel it is important to show their American spirit by protecting their employees with a simple act, they have lost the business of myself and my family.

What you need, when you need it, unless you need your mower fixed... brought in my mower and was charged nearly 300 dollars. When I got it home it wouldn't run. I returned and was told they would take care of it, no charge since I brought it right back, when I picked it up the 2nd time they tried to charge me more money. I refused, citing what I was told. Mower ran for about 5 minutes. I have taken it somewhere else and they say it doesn't look like anything was done to it. Vacuum line disconnected and a couple other indicators make it obvious they did little or nothing and didn't fix the problem.

They have many things for the farm, acreage, work, garden and most things outdoors. Certain times of the year you can pick up chicks, lol. Good store and staff. Its worth checking out.

We love Bomgaars and usually have good customer service. However, today was not the case. When we went to check out, I said hello to our cashier Krysta M and she said nothing, she had a frown on her face. She didn’t say a word to us, until out of necessity to complete our purchases she said “Phone Number” and then “Name” that was it. No thank you or have a nice day when we left either. Just terrible! If this had been our first impression we would not be back. We know help is hard to find, but surely Bomgaars can do better.

This used to be my "go to" bombgaars but the past 4 dang times trying to buy ducks and chickens, no help. I go to the cashiers and ask for help, they call and I sit and wait for another 30 mins before anyone decides to show up. When there's maybe 4 other customers in the whole store which I counted as I walked the entire store looking for an employee. The employees went from attentive good workers to ghosts that wont hardly acknowledge you as they walk buy in less than a year.

In Sioux City their prices are competitive to the big box DIY stores. Always an added bonus is they offer a 10% military discount!

very rudely treated by assistant manager at this store. I was right and he was wrong and we got into a yelling match. He is not professional and should never be a manager—whole problem could have easily been handled if he would have just talked to the employee who had been working me

I'm not originally from Iowa but since moving here and my boyfriend introducing me to Bomgaars, I've been obsessed. Every time I've been there (so far) the employees have always been super nice and very helpful! I love the wide variety of things they have. My parents (who visit maybe once a year) always want to make sure to make a stop at Bomgaars before they have to head home. It's our favorite place now.

The employees inside were great very helpful. I bought sand tubes and waited 20 min for someone to come help me get them. I called after 10 they had me on hold for 10 min came back on the phone asked who I was waiting for they transferred me to a manager than he put me on hold. They stated that they'd send someone had to call back and that's when they stated they got moved. Communication please bomgaars it would help.

The small engine shop is a joke! Brought in a string trimmer that I purchased through them, that wasn't even 2 years old, ended up being a bad belt (not covered under warranty) they just decided to fix it without even giving me an estimate. There was a $20 shop fee just for looking at it but didn't even tell me about the fee when I dropped it off, I have done so much business there but unfortunately for them fleet farm is opening up near by needless to say I'm done giving them my business

NEVER BUY A RABBIT HERE. I recommend this place if you want to buy normal things but never ever a rabbit. They sell rabbits sometimes more often when it's warmer out and ITS AWFUL!! I got my maybe 8 week old bunny here ( the worker was not sure on the age) he was pushing this rabbit on to me so I kindly asked to hold it as I held it I asked if I could hold one that I was more interested in he said "No you don't want that one it sleeps all the time." So I said I'll think about adopting the rabbit he had offered me and I went one my way looking at other things around the store, the worker found me somewhere looking at some things still holding the bunny and so I went back to the baby bunnies and looked at the breed and it said "lion head mix" I asked what it's mixed with and the worker said "I don't know let's just say it's a lop mix with lion head." I was kinda standoff about his knowledge on the baby bunnies age and breed if your selling them in the store you should know those important details. So I asked the guy if it was a boy or a girl because I was interested in a boy ,the worker TURNED THE BABY BUNNY UPSIDE DOWN ON IT'S HEAD!! some of you may not know but never turn a rabbit upside down on their heads ever !! So the worker took about 2 seconds to see and the worker said "Yup it's a boy." (The vet I took it to took about a minute to tell which is an accurate time since it's fur is quite longer then other bunnies) I felt very bad for this poor bunny and many of you will probably think just don't adopt it but it's personality was very sweet and he was in very poor conditions there so I agreed to adopt it. After a vet visit a day after I've had the bunny it turns out it is a girl and it has a bacteria infection due to the poor living conditions in Bomgaars so now my poor baby bunny is on antibiotics also since it's a girl I will need to get it spayed since they are prone to uterus cancer which I did not want in the first place which is why I wanted a boy & the bunny had matted fur all over it's little legs and stomach that they had to cut off. Also I went back after a week to go see if there was any left or any that had the same physical symptoms as mine, I walked in to see they had a whole new litter of bunnies that had infections on their little feet & NO HAY which is their main food and with growing baby bunnies should have at all times !! Also their water dish that all 8 bunnies had to share was little to no water in and it was green and all gross from the bedding they had in there with them. Properly train your employees on if a rabbit is a boy or a girl because there will be someone just as anger as me if they are trying to breed rabbits and need a girl and you falsely name their gender ! If your looking for a rabbit I would not buy one from here especially if you have other rabbits these baby bunnies are most likely sick and can spread it to your other rabbits also if your looking for a specific gender I would not rely on one of the workers to tell you as they do not even know how to tell let alone hold a bunny.UPDATE : My poor baby bunny also had mites most likely from the poor conditions she was living in and from the other bunnies.Also I went back recently (because she was growing out of her cage and needed a new one) I was unable to find the rabbit cage's so I asked the nearest employee I saw and asked where the cage's are and she responded with "Ummmm I don't know." Then she says on the intercom that someone needs help by the animal section, as I wait patiently looking at the poor animals cramped all together in one small cage I still have not received help the employee came back to see if anyone came which none have and was starting to look around. I wait and wait then some one came taking his time to talk with his work buddies about nonwork related things then finally decided to help me. He started to guide me to the cage's while stopping to talk to one of his work friends AGAIN I finally gave up said thank you and just left. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS STORE AGAIN.
