This is my go to place for pretty much all my needs. I grocery shop, buy clothes, seasonal products, electronics, auto accessories, etc. One stop shopping. Most of their employees are very friendly and helpful. I say mostly because no one, place or thing is perfect, obviously.

Tanner Dukes is the assistant manager and he told my mom not to come grocery shopping at 5pm rush hour. She was grocery shopping for her clients and needed the bill split into 3. They kept messing up the transaction and instead of helping and being customer service oriented, Tanner gets involved and tells my mom not to come grocery shopping at rush hour when she was there at 2 pm and it was after 5 because of the cashier making the mistake. This Walmart is a joke.

Always convenient but need to get more cashiers up front and get rid of the self check outs and pay the cashiers more I'm sick and tired of doing what i normally do which is having multiples of one product and just scan one of the product to the amount i have!

If you go to this store with super high expectations you may be dissatisfied, however, when you think of it as a relatively small town walmart experience it's great. They have most necessities and household supplies. (More by far than hyvee for example) It's super nice to have this right down the road. I have been impressed by the cashiers as well. Of course if you are a grump they might not seem super friendly either, but a little kindness goes a long way. I have two small children and it is very rare to go through checkout without serval different employees offering to help me load things onto the checkout belt, get an extra cart, help me out, or help load my groceries. You don't find that at every Walmart. It definitely makes shopping with children a little less daunting to know that people understand and are willing to help! I have been somewhat disappointed with their fruit at times, however, there is usually at least some higher quality options. Better than having to take the kids into two stores, right? I use their pharmacy for everything as well. I am terrible at remembering refills and, embarrassing enough,there have been serval times I have just one pill left and I call in and they have gone out of their way to make sure I can get it by the next day. As stated earlier, a little kindness and understanding goes a long way. These people are just doing their jobs. Most of them probably didn't dream of working at a Walmart and aren't getting paid what they should be. Many times there aren't enough employees to go around and many of them have to work extra hours to cover. Be a bright spot in their day!

Why have the bigger check out lanes if you won’t let anyone use them? My mother and I when to Walmart this morning and my mother had an over $400 order. She asked the lady over seeing self check out if she could open a bigger lane for her. (My mother and I like to use our own bags) The lady told her “no. We are not busy enough to open those lanes. You have to use this side”(which is the smaller self checkout side). So I ask again. Why have the bigger self checkout lanes of you won’t let people use them?

For the most part the store is a decent place to get things you need with a couple of exceptions. A liquor purchase is an unpleasant experience. An associate has to escort you to the checkout counter like you’re a shoplifter. The pharmacy staff is unfriendly and will lie to you over the phone and when you get there to pick up your prescription they tell you something completely different.

Shenandoah has a Walmart they should be proud of. Their associates are genuinely happy to help when you need it, everyone from the people who keep the parking lot clean and clear of carts, through to people shelving products and people checking you out. Even that person who cleans the restrooms does it well. Yes, we do notice and thank all of the Walmart team. Another thumbs up for getting the scooters able to be used.

I like coming here as I really enjoy their approach to women's clothing at this location.I can usually find things here that I don't find in the bigger Walmart stores. Also the staff are very friendly. Keep up the good work 👏Mrs. K

This was my first time at this store. I found it to be very well stocked with a great variety of grocery items. However I was a bit disappointed with the lack of variety in the womens selection of clothing and purses, for which is the reason I made the drive. I will be back though, but not on a weekend. It was much too busy for me to see all I wanted to look and was somewhat in a disarray. I'm used to a larger city Walmart so it's going to take me some time to get used to the smaller town one.

The employees are very friendly. Some could be friendlier. It's really easy to find things. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were really dirty when I visited, but it could have been just the time period.

Went to service desk and ask for if they could have someone come to bedding dept. What I need was on the very top shelf. Waited in bedding isle for 10 min no one showed went back to service desk she called for me again stood the for another 20 min. I went back to service desk was asked if I finally got help I stated no I did not and I wasn't waiting any longer. I could've ordered off Amazon and gotten it quicker!

Its a small Walmart. They still have everything that all of the other stores have just not as many choices. For example a lady's shirt the bigger Walmart might have 15 different types to choose from but the smaller Walmart might offer 8 or 9. People there are great and are always willing to help. I will be shopping there again and again because of the customer service that I receive there.

A big thank you to the Walmart staff in Shen, who helped me figure out the Walmart Pay on my phone today! I was a bit frazzled and in a hurry, so I forgot to get their names, but they were the nice lady monitoring at the self check area and 2 gentlemen who came to help with the phone and one of them got a cart for my stuff, because as usual, I stuffed too much in the hand basket. Their kindness and professionalism is much appreciated!

It's just okay. Seems very dark. Not my favorite Walmart. I only shop this location if I'm in the area anyway. It's fairly new and generally clean. The craft department is only only about half an aisle, at best. They tend to keep minimal stock and according to employees that's to encourage shoppers to purchase online.

I am a homeless vet. I am at the Shenandoah Iowa Walmart where they are nice enough to let me boon dock in their parking lot while I try to figure out what my next step in life maybe. I tried to case a $4.93 check, all I had to my name their policy States that it cost $4 To cash a check. I appreciate their policy. The only $4.93 I have but the manager was a sweetheart and got me something to eat. I could not ask for more. I would like to Thank Walmart and all its associates for helping me out in a time of need. There are good people left in this world and I appreciate that they were there for me in my time of need. God-bless you Walmart don't know if I will ever be able to repay you but I can say I will be a lifetime Walmart customer. God-bless America.

Great service and I actually found the last AR they have in stock and bought it. I also bought the last of their 5.56. The manager informed me their not happy with their new firearm and ammo policy. But we live in a pro 2A state. Very friendly for service dogs and my experience today made me feel like the service was personalized.
