I basically grew up here! My grandpa and I would always go golfing here and hangout at the house during events. I remember playing with the owners daughters around the course. Such good memories here.. Food is amazing and I miss this place so much.

Older gentleman behind us were very rude and almost hit me with a ball in a par 3 as we were walking up to putt, been here a lot of times and never had any issues but once these older gentleman had an issue with us all of a sudden the clubhouse takes sides and comes out to yell at our group. Will not be back.

Nice course that uses the space well. Good variety of holes, many dog legs, lots of water, some bunkers and fast greens that can be very slopey.

We had a group of five and I had reservations for two tee times. After the first nine holes, we made a quick stop at the clubhouse for some water and a snack. He then arrived at hole number 10. There are two groups of four that pulled up at the same time as us so we decided to let them play through as they look like more Avid golfers. We then cheat off and begin playing behind them as multiple groups lined up on hole 10 to start playing. We played directly behind the two groups in front of us and just ahead of all the groups behind us and then a course manager came out and she was very rude yelling and screaming at us that we need to keep up the pace of play. We tried to tell her what was going on but she could not care less and told us we needed to break our group up as to not slow things down on the course. So we broke our group up that's making the wait even longer for everybody behind us because now there was not one group there was two groups to wait and play through. After we were done with our 18 holes I tried to talk to the manager that it come out and told us to separate groups and tried to explain to her again and the only thing she could say was I have people yelling at me to break you guys up what do you want me to do? She was very rude disrespectful an unprofessional in speaking to us while we golfed there. Unless you live in Shellsburg I would not go to this course because they will treat you like trash. I will never waste my money on there course again

Wonderful venue for a wedding i was thr dj first off. Maggie and Amanda were such a huge help and wonderful bar tenders I would love to come back anytime

Fun course and good value. Easy to score well. wide open off the tee. Greens are nice. Nice variety of holes. 20-25 mins from cedar rapids. Has a range as well.

The course is better than decent but ... On four different holes, a groundskeeper was mowing the fringe of the green I was putting on ... While I or someone else was putting. In addition, on another hole he asked if I would move a ball out his way ... My ball was in the fairway, not sure why he couldn't wait or go to another hole, like on the other side of the course. He apologized multiple times but after the first couple times we didn't want to hear it any more.Will I go back, maybe on a day when it's cooler and later in the day when their not mowing.Take bug spray!

Great place to golf! Staff is really friendly and the beer is always cold!!!! Would highly recommend for 9 or 18 anytime. The food is also very good and everything reasonably priced.

Feel the course has somewhat gone downhill over the last couple of years. Still is a fun course to play, just never very impressed by the conditions - ground is very hard, greens have many dead spots, sand traps could use some TLC, etc.

Okay I'm going to break this in an honest review. To start 18 holes w/ cart $25. So price is good. Nice club house and clean bathroom. Hole one we tee off (4 of us) at 830 no issues. Hole two mower on coarse, he stopped for us to tee off and that's it. Was chasing us the rest of the hole. Hole 3 another mower this time on the tee box in front of us. Doesn't stop mowing for us to tee off had to wait for him to finish. We then decide to let 2 people (one was coarse ranger) to play through as a friend was going to join us. We let the ranger know and no issues. After front nine we took a break at the club house to buy snacks and water and a glove. Friendly gentlemen behind the counter helping us. On the the back nine. Hole 10 group of four that looked to be better golfers then us pull up behind us after we tee off. We let them play through. Finish hole 10 move to 11 and a manger comes out and drives up to us and tells us we are holding up the play of golf and we have to break up of group of five. She is very rude as we try to tell her that we were letting people play through. She says your not playing with five. So we break into two groups. Finish hole 11 and we see a group of 6 teeing off on 10. So we ask her about their group and she begins to argue with us about our group of five again. And she does nothing about the group of 6. Sprinklers were on on holes 9 12 and I think 14. Greens were soaked and so were we. We finish playing our back 18 and discover that there wasnt just one group of 6 but 3 different groups of 6. Not one of them were told to break up. I do believe that since we were from out of town and not memebers we were treated that way. It is because of staff and the handling of this situation the mowers and sprinklers being on that they get a one star. DONT VISIT much friendlier places to visit in the area.

Nice course, very friendly staff. Lots of hazards along the way, but a fun, quirky course where you can use a lot of clubs in your bag. I will be returning.

Great course, really fun to play. Par 70 with several holes that will challenge you. The nomo added a little challenge but was not over powering.

Dont order the shrimp! I ordered their shrimp to go, got home and it was burnt. I called and she told me that, that is how they serve their shrimp. How is it normal to burn the shrimp and serve it like that. It was not edible.
