We used this chain several times throughout our trip from Michigan to California and back. At first the decision was incidental, but Love's very quickly became our intentional stop. The restrooms are very clean and well maintained. I also really appreciated the diversity of food they had in stock. On our long drive, it became very useful to not only have snacks, but sandwiches and fruit. Overall I highly recommend this stop.We were very pleased with the service we received from Allie at the Shelby, Iowa Love's. Allie was very informative and friendly, despite the late hour. Allie made sure we had everything we needed for our dinner on the road, and even recommended things we hadn't even considered, such as an extra bag for trash and napkins.I would recommend Love's to anyone planning on a long distance trip.

I’ve been to a lot of truck stops and although the food is mediocre and the mechanics suck, I love this place. Clean, lively an friendly, there are plenty of extra space to park. That is if everyone doesn’t stop at the same time you may want to get here before sunset, after all Loves parking ain’t as big as Petro, Flying J and TA in general. Could be a skill issue

Always has clean restrooms and store. The attached McDonald’s is the best one I've been to. We stop here a couple times a month and it never disappoints! It's always spotless and the food is always fresh. Much appreciated when on the road.

Great place, I am an O/O I had to get trailer Grease and a small repair. Service manager and mechanic are 2 of the most professional guys I have had at a loves. I recommend truck care at this location. Very fast and didn't try to upsell.

Normally, only stop at only Loves locations. I find them to have the cleanest bathrooms. This location was no exception. They have shower stalls which are clean as well. Lovely staff as usual. Great gas prices. Be sure to download the app for 10 cents off a gallon at each fill up. Safe travels

Piss poor customer service. Refused to take my order at the register for the fact that I didn't want to use the kiosk with or without his help. I pay for customer service in my order so I expect it not to do half of his job. And I mean I order myself pay myself and make my own drink so if I do all that my order should be half price. I do half of his job i shouldn't have to pay full price.lost customer forever.

What a disgrace. Those mechanics called themselves mechanics that’s ridiculous .! Came there the other day coolant leak. They told me your sensor is bad. It’s not leaking. I told him I put 1 gallon of coolant every two hours while I’m driving. What do you mean is a sensor problem? don’t worry about they told me a sensor.!! They have audacity charge me $160 for nothing!!! They didn’t fix the problem. In fact they want me to drive just like that until my motor will burn ! I went to the real Mechanic. He found a problem in five minutes- EGR cooler. Replace that and have no problem! Don’t go to those mechanics because they will charge you for no reason at all And they will not fix your problem!!!

Got a PM service and two other services done on my truck 2/10/24 late afternoon. Brought my truck back to Texas to have it checked out today cause I thought it was weird my camera somehow was disconnected while having the service done. It always stays on for 10 hours after turning off the engine EVERYTIME. I get really skeptical and think the job was half done or not done at all when my cameras go off (not saying one of you did it but this is not the first time a shop has disconnected my cameras then connected them back before giving my truck back) My mechanics lists Stevie and Caleb on my work order paper. I just wanted to let you guys know our mechanics here said I have an oil filter leak. I had no issues prior to my encounter with this Love’s 6 days ago. I only go in every 90 days for inspections and fluid checks/changes having a newer truck. Just be more attentive guys

Only stopped to take a shower. I gotta say I was really impressed with how big that bathroom was. They could’ve utilize some of that space make the shower bigger but none the less it was big and clean

Everything is good, in winter times, but stay away during summer times. Too many Ismailis truck drivers who do not know how to park, block the fuel islands and park whereever. They come in for free coffee on points, and steal tissues, and plastic spoons. Not just my view, my entire company red listed this stop in summer time due to these Ismailis drivers hitting over trucks and running away.

Truck service shop is very bad the people work there afternoon shift. They are drug addict. Every time they work 5 minute on the truck and they run outside somewhere. I see Them get high and come back every Five Minute so this work they told me it will be only one hour job then One hour job took them five hours. And in top of all that they were Very racist One Indian driver coming inside, need a tire and he walk out they start saying racist slur To him and they are Very rude employees and Disrespectful using foul language with each other and with customers and that is not professional that’s what I told them and I will make sure contact loves headquarter for this incident I will never go to this place again.

Met a hardworking woman there , her name is April, she is very kind and professional, the trash was full and she saw I wanted to throw out garbage from my truck, she quickly said not to worry and got to mine to take the trash , she was Even picking up dog poop after owners don't clean up after there dogs , Truckers appreciate workers like April, give that woman a raise and credit

This Love’s location is literally full of trash. I stop at many Love’s locations when on road trips as I can typically trust the cleanliness of the facilities amongst other things. This location is absolutely disgusting and you’d be excused for mistaking it for the city dump given how much literal trash is present on the sidewalks, in the green areas, in the dog park, etc.

After stopping on top 10 caliber gas stop at the North Platte NE Love's followed by the terribly disappointing Love's in Aurora NE, it was really nice to stop at the Shelby, Iowa Love's which was at the normal Love's standard that I love. In fact, this one was just only a notch or 2 below the North Platte one. That was probably because I didn't need a lunch stop at this time. Like all Love's except Aurora NE , it has diesel, space, fruit, clean restrooms, and other necessary travel items. So, like all Love's except the Aurora NE one, I love the Shelby IA Love's. Important: if you are going west on 80, fill it to the brim here and skip the one in Aurora NE which does NOT HAVE DIESEL and is untruckable.❤💛💓🏁⛽🚚🚛🌽🍉🍍

Good location overall. The store was clean and well stocked. The only minor complaints are that the cashier needs to work on greeting people. I don't even expect a fake smile, but a simple "Hello" would have been nice while I stood there awkwardly waiting for her to finish what she was doing before ringing me up, and the A/C isn't working properly making the store warm and humid.

Had a tire issue on trailer,couldn't be repaier,had to replace with new. All the guys there were very professional and got me out in a timely manor. Since was late got a parking spot they keep just for this. Very good experience under the circumstances. Will definitely keep them in mind if problems in future

Great place to stop and take a shower. $15.00 for 10 min of water. Pretty sure you can take a little longer than that in the room but that is all the time you have the water for. Was in a hurry so I did not use the full 10 minutes. Included in the price is liquid soap from a dispenser on the wall, wash cloth, face towel and body towel. Coffee options were good from brewed to order machine to multiple flavors and the pre brewed from a carafe. Bring your own cup to save some cash and trash.

Very clean and nice gas station. I can see why it was so busy; it is nicer than most gas stations between Omaha and Des Moines. The bathrooms are great. They have real doors that offer privacy and were clean. They also had a nice variety of foods (regular gas station stuff like pre-made sandwiches and hotdogs on a roller) and drinks.It was a nice stop on our trip. Will try to remember this place for next time we make the trek.

Chicken was yummy but oil change greasy ,..I stopped here for a shower.. now, I have showered at a hundred different Loves. This one was the coldest. GD hurry n git type cold.I advise you just skip this place if your dirty and move on. Although, if your clean.. and like oil for dinner, come on by!

Love's are so popular, it's often too crowded to fill a large vehicle. They've also added parking where large vehicles need to maneuver. Many are only appropriate for cars and semis.
