We rented the houseboat Seagull for the weekend, and we absolutely loved it. It is the glamping that I want. With the rental of the houseboat, we got free rental of the kayak. We loved what the facility has to offer. The houseboat was cute , cozy and functional. The staff on the harbor were very friendly, responsive, and helpful.Highly recommended!

This place is our new getaway for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and all of our needs are accommodated. We like preparing most of our meals while vacationing and the well equipped kitchens have everything we need. Use of kayaks on the neighboring lake is a particularly nice bonus. All in all, we love it here.

Highly recommend the Nantucket cottage!! So many amazing memories made this weekend and definitely lots of laughs!! Definitely the best way to have a relaxing weekend sitting on the patio and watching the boats and tugboat go in and out of the marina. Island City Harbor staff is very friendly and very helpful!! Definitely booking another weekend very soon!!

We have been a customer at Island City Harbor for 24 seasons.I damaged a propeller last weekend, and Jessie and crew are able to work me into their schedule and within an hour the boat was lifted, propeller changed, and back in the water.They’re careful conscientious, and a pleasure to work with!Two years ago they helped with changing the engines, a giant job at fair pricing.The inside storage building is fantastic, so there’s no shrink wrap rubbing against the boat all winter long.!!Happy customer!!

Many of us friends stayed on the floating cottage Nantucket this weekend for a Birthday Celebration! If walls could talk, they can tell you the MANY stories, memories and laughs shared! It was an incredibly relaxing weekend! The chilly weather didn't stop us from enjoying the beautiful sunrises and sunsets every day! Getting to wave at Jerry everytime he took the tugboat out! Seeing the many barges go by! Even walking up to the train tracks to watch the tracks move for the barges to come through! So many memories were made this weekend and it wouldn't have been possible without the great staff of Island City Harbor! Especially to Jesse for making our stay one where we felt like we were at home away from home!! HIGHLY recommend staying at the Nantucket any chance you can get!!

What a wonderful place to visit!! Everyone was so helpful, docks and facilities are very well kept and clean. Short walk to dining, and shopping. Full marine repair, very knowledgeable mechanics. Cannot thank them enough.

My husband and I spent a few days aboard the Lily Pad for our 30th anniversary and it was wonderful. It rained part of the time, but we didn’t care! We relaxed, watched movies, drank wine, sat on the covered patio and fished. Savanna had plenty of choices for eating out, we liked Poopy’s and Manny’s Pizza!Kelly, Jesse and Carol were staff that we dealt with at the Harbor Store and they were so kind and so helpful. The Lily Pad was so cute, cozy and super clean! We’ll be back and definitely will recommend to everyone we know! Thanks for a fabulous little getaway!

We have fallen in love with this place. The cottage is absolutely cute and quaint. We own a timeshare in St Martin NE and travel there often, so it takes a lot to impress us. We had plans to go out to dinner, but decided to stay and cook and fish! Absolutely relaxing and beautiful. The staff were fantastic! We will be back next year!

We docked our boat in one of the transient slips, great calm Marina, docks were very nice, super cute Marina to explore. The shower house felt like a spa, so clean and so nice! The gift shop/ harbor store was wonderful and full of treasures. The people were so kind and helpful, this is a must stop! Thank you Island City Harbor we'll be back again.

I cannot rave enough about this floating cabin!! This is the cutest cabin ever! It is decorated so adorable & quaint. They have thought of EVERYTHING for this cabin from a full equipped kitchen to super soft & wonderful bedding! The staff that helped me at the cabin were wonderful & helped us with any of our needs (shout out to Kelly & Jesse.) The view from the cabin of the river is wonderful & the location is quiet & quaint. We will for sure be back! We love Sabula & love this cabin! I posted tons of pictures on my FB & my friends are all so interested in it. What a great little find!!

We stayed here in June of 2020 and 2021. We'll be back again in July of '22. The island city. Friendly folk and very helpful. Great place to walk around and explore to stretch your river legs!PS 40' Carver wasn't a problem!

On our family outing to boat on the river at Sabula, we ran into mechanical problems with our boat. We first visited Island City to buy a battery, and when that didn't fully fix the problem, the owner volunteered to take a look at our motor and to make repairs on the spot. We were really blown away by the level of service - you can tell that that Island City Harbor really wants to make sure everyone enjoys their visit. Very impressed with the facility there as well - very clean and pleasant.

We rented the 2 person Houseboat $130 a night $35 cleaning fee. Harbor was empty of people except for the tugboat that left then returned. It was fun watching how they take boats out of the water to clean and store for the winter. Staff was very nice Wi-Fi did not work but antenna TV did. The fish that wecaught here in the Harbor as it was raining all the time we were here were little fish biting on everything the bait would barely touch the water and they would bite it was fun. Had to take showers up at the shower house which is just a little walk up the hill from the where our houseboat was that was fine. Just planned it between raindrops.had the electric heater on all the time. Bed was comfortable, houseboat could use a little TLC carpet outside glued down infrint of door, couple lights didn't work, all minor. We would stay here again.

We recently overnighted in a transient dock at Island City Harbor while bringing our houseboat down river from Minnesota. The harbor is located in a backwater with no current, however the docks are tight together, making boat maneuvering difficult. The staff and folks on the dock here were very friendly and the sunset view was beautiful, like the others users mentioned, which is why I am giving 2 stars versus 1. We settled in for a quiet evening only to be woken up multiple times by a loud tug boat/barge coming and going in the middle of the night with bright lights and exhaust right in to our windows, YUCK! Are you kidding me?!? We WILL NOT stay here again...We don't recommend this harbor to other boaters looking to overnight. We found the harbors upriver in Dubuque, Iowa and down river in Fulton, Illinois to be much more enjoyable and quiet.
