My Calves were unloaded at the salebarn at 3:30pm the day before the sale. There was 4000 head at the sale.My Calves sold in the last 40 head that came through the sale ring at the end of the sale.They were shunk up, covered in manue,mistakenly called bull calves.

Sent my calves to Russell livestock in good faith that when they ran through the ring they would look like they did when they left my farm. Kept them out of the mud so they would look good and also sent a paper with information on it so it could be given out when they started to sell them. When they came in the ring they had mud all over them and looked terrible! No information was said about my calves and not even a "thank you " Not sure I will go back!

This is one of the best run cattle sale barns in southern Iowa and northern Missouri. It's no wonder they keep growing. Management takes care of buyers and sellers well. The place is always clean and well kept.
