I took my dogs Teddy & Kenji there today for the first time, my wife and I bothe really liked the grooming, they look very fluffy....excellent staff, couldn't be nicer, the 2 ladies I dealt with this morning were exceptionally kind ( and that is important to me), when I picked up my dogs she even yelled across the parking " see ya later" and she was right, I'll definitely be taking my dogs there again...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

We have taken our dogs here multiple times and a couple times for extended stays. Are dogs are always really well taken care of and the videos we get of our dogs while we’re gone is definitely an added plus!

We used the door step service and it was well worth it. A bit more in cost, but it's worth not having to take my dog somewhere and make her stress in a strange environment longer than necessary. Hurds' was on time and Molly was groomed w/in an hour. I asked for the typical "Aussie trim" and that's exactly what I received. She looked great when done. Very happy. We will be reaching out to them again this fall.

I was in love and at ease the moment I arrived at Hurd's Hound Haven. The setting is absolutely stunning, the kennel facilities are beautiful and immaculate, the staff is friendly and so helpful! It felt like I was leaving them with family! I felt so relieved after moving here to find such a wonderful place for my 4 legged children! I always feel very anxious because our dogs are not the best behaved and we also have a deaf, blind Boston whom I am always worried about, not this time! They welcomed my "herd" with open arms! I was thrilled and didn't worry a second while I was away! Highly recommend Hurd's Hound Haven, you will LOVE it!

I like the Hurd family kennel because the people are nice and I am confident in their talents as they handle my dogs very easily. I have a Rottweiler and a hound that is very protective at home and at the kennel they lead them to their kennels without a leash and they put them out and they can see other dogs and when I pick up my dogs, they are not nervous or they haven't lost weight, etc.Very easy going and relax atmosphere there and yet very confident that my dogs are well taken care of.Very nice place, clean and good hours to pick up and drop off.

Gypsy was at the kennel for 4 days. Also had a bath and brush, nails filed. Very reasonable. They fed her liked I asked and she seemed to like it ok.

my name is bentley the cavachon, adopted from south hamilton rescue in jewel, iowa four years ago. my parents are vern and lyn vande brake.even tho i am a designer dog, i frequently get out of my fenced yard and head straight for the barn where i bring back delicious mounds of horse manure.well, it happened that the other day i'd not only done that but also i ran through the briar patch where the bunny rabbits are burrowing, and i was just covered - with everything imaginable - and some things you just wouldn't want to imagine !off to hurd's hounds we went ! at the end of the day i came out a different dog. why, i look so good, you'd think i belonged at west minister with the rest of the show dogs !a 5 star rating to britta who did this expert clean-up bath-and-clip make-over on me.from bentley the cavachon.

my name is savanah. i am a special needs rescue dog who came from a background of neglect and abuse that makes me very temperamental. i accept very few people into my emotional space.my mother, lyn, would like to applaud britta with hurds hound haven for her kind professional interaction with me that made me totally comfortable the day i spent at hurd's hounds getting a new hair do.i accepted britta right off and even let her handle my feet and clip my nails. my mom was astonished.i came home after my doggie make-over with a beautiful hairdo and a pink bow. i look just beautiful, she says. a standing ovation 5-star applause for britta. you're one-of-a-kind.from savanahp.s. my mom says i can come back to hurds hound haven in a couple of weeks and get my hair do done again. she says britta made me look just gorgeous !
