Terrible customer service, I've noticed employee's will be impatient to elderly customers, and have been told by family how they have been treated while shopping at this location. I'd advise management, or the owners to either have some of the employee's retrained, or find someone better suited for customer service.

This place is chronically understaffed and very messy. It's always cramped and there is always product on the floor. The staff hate their job and I don't blame them. Management sucks. The store keeps going downhill over the years and they have extremely high turnover. As such their staff training reflects this.

Be sure of two things:1. Check yhe "sell by" date. I biught some Jolly Ranchers that were 8 months past date.2. Always ask for a receipt so you can return an item.3. Always ask for receipt. I have been ripped off twice. Whether it is mislabled merchandise or an employee putting something extra on my transaction to consume later isn't clear. I don't go there very often, but I will be sure to ask for a receipt. Testing will soon commence.

The store was cluttered and cramped. I asked a price on something and the lady helping me was very nice. When I got to the checkout though the item rang up wrong. When I asked about it the cashier swore and said I read the price wrong because it was in the wrong spot. I was very offended. it will be a long time before I go back.

Had the worst experience there. Upon entering the store by the potting soul they had ice scrappers that scanned a penny I put them all in the cart this mean lady named Shelly said I can’t sell them to you they are in storage I was like no you have to showed her the policy for dollar general she took the box they was in put it behind the counter I turned my back for 2 seconds while on FaceTime with my daughter she took my cart and put it behind the counter I asked for her manager said she was sick upon leaving right above the one box was another with smaller scrappers for a penny wouldn’t sell them to me either while walking out she told me to F-off I’m waiting for a call back from district manager

I've bought multiple totes there recently. 15+ totes. Although the tag says $9.00, they charged me $12.50. If it's advertised as such, even though it's wrong, the advertised price should be honored. The service was decent, which is why the review is 3 stars instead of 1.

Store is very messy and unorganized. I was looking for a cellphone charger cable and they were located in 3 different places in the store, and still did not have a usb-c cable. Many half-empty shelves which looked as if someone was in the process of changing or stocking the display and just quit in the middle of the job.

Register ran up my items but the employees refused to sell them to me, well I could have one item. Asked where I found them at and then said she didn't know where I found them at because they weren't suppose to be there. Well, they were where I said they were. They should read the DG policy to know what the proper procedure is. It is the same across the board. Also watched a little boy pick up a candy bar that had expired in May...it is August...the whole box of candy was expired. Out of all the DG stores I have been to....Rock Rapids and Larchwood are the worst as far as being knowledgeable of the store policy, rudeness and not at all the same experiences as I have had in every other DG. Next time I'm in Iowa, I will just keep driving. There are plenty of other great DGs to go to.

I love this store. It’s clean, the workers are friendly & eager to help you with finding something or in my case reaching stuff.There’s no way they can carry everything but they do carry a huge selection of items.

I find that they carry more stuff then the one in Luverne and they seem to have better sales. People who work there are friendly over all very easy going laid back and kind.

Went there at 8pm and the door was locked when their sign on the door clearly says they close at 9 pm needless to say I was very disappointed since I was trying to get something for supper. On another note seems like every time I go in there the employees have a bad attitude like they hate their jobs sorry but I feel if u hate your job you should find a different one

Not well stocked. Big carts of merchandise are often in the aisles which makes it difficult to navigate. Clearance aisle is frustrating because so many items are not marked with clearance price. Needs some major organization!
