Dr. Schnoebelen is very patient and calm. The staff is so friendly. They never push their products on you, which means a lot to someone on a fixed income. I come down from Iowa City for my cats. I highly recommend! Prices are very fair also, a lot less expensive than Iowa City vets.

I've taken my dogs to St. Francis Vet Clinic for 14 years now. This is an exceptional place. I've talked to several others in the area who have the same opinion. I didn't truly appreciate how special the staff were until one of my elderly dogs had cancer. The vet and the techs were so accommodating and compassionate. No unnecessary procedures. When I hear stories about the quality of veterinary care at other places, it makes me realize how lucky I am to have found this place. I truly appreciate these folks.

The entire team at St Francis is excellent; everyone cares about your companions and wants to help. Greg has taken care of my family's pets for over two decades now; he's always been very interactive and follows up on your calls for concerns and make sure treatments are proceeding as expected.My entire family has moved to Iowa City over the years, and we all continue to drive down to Riverside to keep coming here.Supreme care for low costs, if you love your pets try to become a client you won't regret it.

Dr. Schnoebelen is amazing. We saw him for years when we lived in Iowa City. We were back in town over Thanksgiving and our dog had gotten sick from stress. I didn't hesitate to call him and he and the very nice techs that work for him talked me through what to do with our pup and really helped calm us down. He is a blessing for sure! Thanks again Greg! Dr S and staff are always kind and amazing with our dogs. Somehow? the staff always remembers your dogs name when you call and say who you are. Makes you feel loved by all. Also, they're never pushy to buy their supplies. Which makes you want to buy from them!

Doctor Schnoebelen is awesome! We're nee pet owners, and brought our kitty in for a spay and first appointment. The whole staff is very clear, thorough, and friendly. The next week, my cat busted a stitch and we were in and out in 20 minutes with staples and antibiotics in her, just for $10. I can tell they really care about their patients, and build a relationship with clients. Highly recommend!

St. Francis Clinic, staff and Dr. Greg are very good. I have taken my cats there for several years, for yearly care, occasional illness, and eventually for my beloved Luci, the end of her time. They are very caring, always treated me and my cats with respect and concern. They are knowledgeable, very reasonable in price, and responsive to needs presented. Never much delay in getting in for appt. I drive the extra distance and time because it is more than worth it.

Dr. Schnoeblen is great. We drive from Iowa City to have our 130lb, 4 yr old German Shepherd - Jax - seen here. He always takes the time to talk with us and answer any questions or concerns we have and we believe he genuinely cares for his patients. Even when we stopped in without an appointment (jax was just a baby, had gotten very sick, and I was extremely worried) Dr. Schnoeblen still made sure to take a few minutes to see him and get him set up with some medicine to get better. The staff is also friendly and has helped me many times with advice over the phone. Very reasonably priced. They do not take advantage of their patients and families by doing unnecessary procedures and tests just to raise the bill - great place to take your furry family members. I would recommend having your animals seen at St. Francis to anyone looking for a new vet or to change vets!

Great service, and the staff truly care about your animals. They will be flexible with your schedule, and get your pets in and out in a timely manor. Dr. Schnoebelen will follow up with a call after an appointment if there are any concerns, or if he did not get to have a post appointment conversation with you. I know plenty of people that have vets closer to where they live, but they go out of their way to bring their pets here.

I called this morning to schedule an appointment with the vet for my two dogs. We have gone here in the past with our previous dog. The lady that answered the phone was very very rude saying that they are not accepting new patients at this time . I tried to explain to her we have been there in the past with her other dog she didn’t care she couldn’t get off the phone fast enough. Just the way she talked to me really teed me off. Customer service makes a company and if you don’t have them skills you shouldn’t be working with the public.

New to the area and had a previous recommendation to try Saint Francis after making the mistake of going to a vet clinic previously after moving here with no idea how high their prices were going to be. Was completely humbled with my experience at Saint Francis... Everyone that I came into contact with were very friendly and knowledgeable and to top it off very affordable, EVEN for a college student... The owner seems so sweet and after I chatted with one of the techs and heard his story/reasoning for opening the clinic for affordable vet care due to his love and compassion for animals, you'll be extremely humbled. Definitely recommend this place!

After taking our pets to another veterinarian and leaving unhappy, a friend recommended that we give them a call. We haven't looked back. They are friendly and knowledgeable and have great prices. They'll even try to help you over the phone if you have a question instead of requiring you to make an appointment. Since we live over 30 minutes away, we really appreciate getting vet advice without needing to drive down and paying an office visit fee for a simple question.

We called because our regular vet couldn't see us for a week. He got us in that day and confirmed our worst fear that our 1 year old guinea pig has cataracts. He was gentle, knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. He will become our new guinea pig doctor for our 5 g-pigs. No more driving to Cedar Rapids and paying bigger bills.Thanks so much!!

This place used to be a hidden gem compared to the expensive vets and unnecessary procedures that are common in Iowa City. Too bad the secret's out now. Perhaps they are operating at max capacity for their staff but they may want to look into expanding. I have called for weeks now trying to bring a new pup there just for shots and it is like trying to get into the Roxbury. I have been told '2 weeks out for any appointment' for several weeks now.
