I'm working in the area, stopped in to grab some stuff. Staff member busy helping an elderly lady so started on my merry search and find my way when Ron asked if he could help. Talked with him for only a few minutes as he directed me down the road to another great family owned business that had what I needed. Didn't buy anything yet from Ron but he was happy to help no matter. I'll be back great people.

I have always had very good and knowledgeable service. To those who have had "bad" service, don't know why or what went on, but stop and think past your I'm all that and a bag of chips self, and know that if you came in with a loaded for bear attitude... Yes, they are verb business like, and I have even had a return item refused, but in thinking it over realized they had the right to, as it related to safety of next buyer.

staff was incredibly rude when i was trying to return an item. it was past their return policy (i didn’t know what it was so figured i would try anyways) and they wouldn’t give me my money or my item back because they were missing some. i didn’t have the receipt since it was from so long ago but they continued to accuse me of stealing and wouldn’t look at the cameras when i just walked in with the item and waited at the counter. it was the owner/ manager was told his name was Ron. when i asked for his name he refused to give it to me and screamed at me. i then told him my name and asked him to look at the names that pulled up when he scanned the item. he barely looked and accused me of lying again when he didn’t see my name. i then went to the other side and showed him where my name was. where the proof of purchase was. then screamed at me to get out of the store and he never wanted to see me again. which is perfectly fine. i went here to get everything i ever needed, safe to say i will not ever shop here again.

Please, just go to Hank's. They are WAY friendlier, more helpful, and better prices.And yes, it is absolutely true that they will nonchalantly follow you around the store, but it is very obvious.Begin my horror story:My neice and I came here to buy a single small part, cost less than $3. I went to pay with my card but the tiller told me that running the card would cost them more than the total of the sale. I said I was sorry but I didn't have cash and needed the part. (also, some store have signs that say "cash only if below $X, they did not have any at the time, I looked befor trying to pay, also also, I'm pretty sure "do it" is a chain and isn't constrained by the same visa/MC/etc. charges that small businesses are) She then stared at me as if I needed to come up with another solution. After a few tense seconds I offered to go somewhere else, then she said "it's fine" and told me to use my card.This, combined with scaring my neice (she really is rude), and a separate occasion where my wife tried to order flooring from them but nearly ALL of their displays were discontinued and out of stock, most certainly earns them a single star. We actively try to avoid this store.Seriously, just go to Hank's.

Asked for quotes on a special order for shingles. When my contractor went to pick it up they cost an extra $300 then quoted. Unfortunately this wasn't in my budget and asked for a return. It was already $600 more expensive then in other town. The receipt said I could return it within 30 days but they charged a restock fee (also not mentioned) of 30% making it an extra $500 to just return.On top of this, they were extremely rude.Asked to talk to the owner who hung up on me but missed so I could hear her bad mouthing us to the customers.Strangely rude considering we've been a long time customers with several of our properties. Weirdly overcharging for no reason and extremely rude when they were doing clearly shady practices. Would not recommend shopping there ever. Overpriced and shady.

this place is a joke and should be shut down for price gouging!! not only are they price gouging on everything in the store, but they straight lied to me about the price of material and changed me $300 more then what they quoted me! After figuring it out I tried to return the material and they told me there would be a 30% restocking fee which ended up being over $300!! I think it's time for ma and pa to retire!! I'll never shop there again!
