They saved my little boys life. And the vets are amazing, so are the vet techs. The front desk people could use some customer service courses, but once you get past them, everyone and everything is amazing!

Oak Valley took great care of my cat Minnie when she suddenly stopped taking care of herself. They got her in to see the vet quickly and did everything they could to care for her, even keeping her overnight to make sure she was okay. They also did a great job of keeping me informed of her progress. They sent us home with medication and a very handy chart to keep track of doses. Thank you Oak Valley!! 10/10 recommend.

The level of care, staff knowledge, and friendliness are tough to beat. Dr. Kate is always so great with our animals. Our rott actually likes going into the vet here & happily greets the staff.

Oak View is amazing. The staff are so nice, reasonably priced and they provide great treatment to their patients. We boarded both of our fur babies there for a 10 days and they received excellent care. While we were gone we had them exam our golden retriever because he was constantly licking his paws. Not only did they find out he had allergies but found out he had a #3 heart murmur that no one else had found. Highly recommend!!!

Was charged an outrageous amount for cremation and then I was NOT told about the EXTRA $43 fee for the urn and paw prints...... go to another vet.... anywhere but here

They do routine vacs and teeth cleanings well. Able to drop off for the day for urgent issues. It's the non-routine and extremely poor communication from the vet. Office staff not able to answer specific questions on meds and/or diagnosis. Left phone number several times and never got a call from vet. No record of call, text or voice message.Have a cat with suspect UTI. Went through failed antibiotic regamin. Still had same symptoms. Vet wanted to do same antibiotic. Assured them no dosages were missed and suggested to try something else. They did. Cat still having lingering frequency issue. They suggested a culture that would take several days to get results. Did that. No response after 10 days. I called for results and was only able to talk to front office staff. Got excuse phone number was not good. Strange since they were able to reach me previously. Staff read very brief vet note. No results on culture. Only recommended exploratory surgery. Did not answer any questions. Left number again. Was told vet is scheduled to call that day. No call.Looking for new vet.Update: Did go to Shenandoah. Vet actually talked to me explaining why surgery was an option. Other option was medication and supplements for idiopathic cystitis. Bladder was inflamed and collecting "gravel" (small stones), causes frequent urination. As bladder expands so does pain so cat urinates small amounts to manage / keep bladder from expanding. My cat went every 5 min. God love him, he used litter box.I did choose surgery as this was a faster fix. Initial pain from surgery was handled well and he recovered quickly. Now on a diet that is kidney friendly and takes supplement mixed in food.Idiopathic means unknown cause. There are some guesses why this happens, but not known for sure. In this case, stress from new cats invading his space about 3 months before he started showing symptoms.Been going to Shenadoah for almost 2 years. It's nice being informed on your cats health.

Upon my wife and I returning from a weekend out of town, we found our cat in pain. Noting it was a Sunday, an emergency vet visit was to be in order. My wife took our cat in and he was promptly seen after a new client form was filled out. Our cat was seen shortly after and we were called with findings. It was explained our cat would need to stay at least one night, possibly two. Noting the lateness in the evening and the emergency nature of the visit, we were expecting it to be fairly expensive, but we were never informed of expenses outside of the initial emergency cost, patient cost, and whatever taxes would be. Upon picking up our cat the bill was over 5x what was initially stated. I'm aware added expenses add up, but at no time outside of us checking in were we informed of cost, or possible costs, until my wife checked in via phone on the day we were to pick him up. I then went in to pay the existing balance over my lunch break, and would return thay evening to pick our cat up. When returned, i was greeted with another $50ish dollars in expenses that I would like to have been informed that may be coming. I'm not displeased at the cost, but the lack of communication about it.Fast forward some time, the special food that was prescribed/suggested to us had ran low. My wife informed me it was paid for and was to be picked up. She had informed me that the vet could no longer sell us food, that they prescribed, until our cat came back for updated shots. When I went to pick the food up, nothing was noted on the receipt, nor was I informed as I picked up the food.Cliff notes:Cat sick on weekend.Emergency vet. Expensive.Additional costs 4x the initial informed cost that were not discussed at any point until pickup.Won't sell any more prescribed food until return for shots. (That weren't brought up upon initial viewing, or when I was in to pick up said food.)At the end of the day, our cat is home and doing well. I will not knock their abilities, as the vet staff did very well, but sometimes communication on the back side goes a long ways.3 stars is too low, but 4 is too high. 3.7ish is where I'd put my official review.

I recently moved back to town and called with an emergency for my dog. Because I hadnt been seen there before, I was told to fill out a new patient form and wait for someone to call me. when I inquired on a timeframe for that call and getting her seen today, i was shrugged off and told to follow the process. Beings that it was a situation that couldn’t wait I ended up having to drive an hour away to have my old vet see her and administer meds. I understand the form is needed, but to refuse care in an emergency was downright deplorable.Edited to respond: that is most definitely not how the conversation happened. I informed her that my dog was refusing to eat and puking what she food she would eat and had worms in her stool. I inquired at the start about getting her in same day and was told that I needed to fill the form out. I asked if I did that could she be seen today, and was told no promises could be made and there was a process to follow. At that point I asked if I should just need to take her to my old vet then. Even if she didn’t deem it an emergency, it was obvious I did if I am inquiring about getting her in the same day.

In my opinion it’s pricey. And I always feel like they are trying to upsell.

Has always been amazing staff and takes amazing care of our furry family. We took our sick cat here last Monday and they did everything they could to try and help her. They let our kids say their goodbyes to her and give her lots of loves. They are very caring and understand the pain and grief of losing a family member. We will always be grateful for the staff and vets that run the vet clinic here.

Love them all. They are all always so helpful with both my boys (Big Boy & Little Boy). Thorough and caring. Never make me feel as though I'm a bother. Both my boys will be boarding with them this summer when my family goes out of town and I'm very confident that they will be in the best of hands. With Dr. Kate and Dr. Amy there if something should happen, we couldn't ask for a better place to leave our boys while we're away. Thank you all!! ❤️

Took our 2 girls in for toe nail trims, Ladonna was great as usual. She finally has an up down grooming table so we don't have to sit on the floor with our 70+ pound lab Blossom. She was nervous but did really well.A couple months ago Dr Becca came out to trim llama & alpaca toe nails & did a FABULOUS job! She was able to work with even our most stubborn alpaca & is the first person to really get the nails trimmed back to where they should be on all of them AND no bleeding! Her past experience with llamas really shows. Definitely calling on Dr Becca again for our llamas & alpacas.

We absolutely love the staff at Oak Valley! They take the time to actually care about their patients, not just hurry up and ship them out the door. We are grateful for them💗🐾💗

Way to expensive. Won't give a price until the end and if the doctor gets called in at night she acts really upset. But my son's cat was treated just cost a lot more than other vets charge

Absolute garbage staff & clinic. Brought in a stool sample for my animal just for them to lose it and try to charge me for the test again. Wasted hundreds of dollars & the worthless staff has done nothing to remedy the situation. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. They do not treat them right or care about them. Worst clinic on SWIA & it needs shut down.

This is where my uncle takes his dog. Since we're dog sitting, we took him to his appointment. Everyone seemed nice, and I've heard good things from other people.
