Not happy after waiting 7 to 8 months for my stuff my rack came in below expectations. Rack drawers should fit snug to prevent escaped reptiles, as you can see there is a half inch gap between bin and shelf. I took the back off the rack for a better photo of the issue. The instructions were followed step by step and I even watched their videos. One Rack shelf was not routed around the edges properly which lead to fitment issues. Entire Rack was $160 and some change is now useless since my snakes will get out of it. I also bought an enclosure from them that is pretty nice, but a corner was broken upon delivery that I had to repair. Tank is still functioning properly and actually came out nicer than expected after the Rack put me off for the day. Recommend for tanks if you're willing to wait a long time for it.

To address the elephant in the room first, yes, Animal Plastics (AP) has pretty horrid lead times... but that's to be expected with ANY product that's high quality and incredibly high demand. You can't fault a company for being too busy than they can handle. Rapid business growth is often detrimental so it's smart of them to grow their business more slowly. It means lead times stay long for longer, but it is also a more sustainable growth.That said, I ordered two T10 cages in March, received them in October. I ordered several other unrelated high dollar, high demand products at about the same time and they took even longer to get to me.Unfortunately, one of my glass doors was shattered in transit. Upon AP finding out about it, they had a replacement door shipped out within 24 hours at no cost to me. That door arrived in perfect shape.The process of building the enclosures couldn't be any easier, and I found it downright enjoyable with a good drill. You won't want to assemble these by hand. I've been incredibly impressed with the quality of the design and construction, to the point that I would describe the workmanship as "beautiful."Ali has some of the most amazing customer service skills I've ever seen, and I worked a lot of customer service jobs through college and have extensive training in it. Really impressed with Ali.Overall, even with a 7+ month lead time, I'd say AP enclosures are entirely worth it and I've been recommending them to everyone I talk to (with the disclaimer that reasonable expectations should be kept on lead times). I won't keep an animal in any other enclosure going forward.

I bought a CB70 standard 5 slot rack. I decided on AP for my rack because I liked the way their racks look and the price was decent. Putting it together was a challenge. The material does feel sturdy and high quality. I waited 3 1/2 months for my rack but it was worth it due to cost/quality.Changed my review to 4 stars because I asked them a question about a heating issue with the rack, never received a response.

I ordered 2 T8 cages with locks and shipped heat panels there for installation. My order arrived in just two months but one of the doors was broken. Ali responded promptly to emails and phone calls and was able to get a new door sent out right away. These cages were insanely easy to install and came with the silicone glue. They look awesome and my snakes will be so happy to move into them. I’ll update with photos and opinion on how it holds temps and humidity once fully moved in

The cages overall our nice. I ordered 4 cages as they are recommended by the breeder I buy all my ball pythons on ordered the cages in late February and they arrived relatively quickly around mid March or so and our decent cages. However paid extra 45$ for LED lighting in the cages 2 of which no longer turn on and it looks like a 3rd is going. After spending almost 2k on cages from them a month worth of LED lighting is not worth it. Will go with a different company from now on.

At first I was doing my research to companies and I was warned time and time again about shipping delays being 5-6 months.I was in shock but.... Huge curve ball I received my enclosure within a week.From the shipping and security this package had I felt so happy and at ease. Lot of foam and glass was so bundled up I had no worries.Construction was so easy and if you followed the guide you never had screw holes off. Had some minor line up problems but screws pull them back flush.I couldn't be any more happy. Now we wait for cure of silicone they provide and the new home of our Python.

I bought the T12 (48x24x24) with added door locks. Tank looks amazing and was super simple to assemble. The directions were a little wordy, but simple enough to follow. I used a drill on lower settings and had no issues with setup, but would have been fine with hand tools, there's just a lot of screws. Sealant cured within a couple days. Can't wait to finish getting it ready and move my Ball Python into her new home. Door locks came with two sets of two keys, one for each door, and each door also has little plastic knobs that rotate to provide extra locking power.Would have given 5 stars, but the lead times were atrocious. Ordered in March of 2022 and received in October 2022. Expect to wait for your order. If you order before your snake needs the upgraded tank, then I'd recommend, but if you need a bigger tank ASAP, I'd look elsewhere, at least temporarily.

I ordered my T10 in March of 2018. They are up front about manufacturing time, as it took approximately 12 weeks from the time I ordered to the time it was delivered. It is quicker to get a hold of them via phone with any inquiries.They do have great customer service. I had to delay setting up my cage as the deal for my snake fell through. Fast forward to last week (2020), and I finally started setting up my cage. The only issue I had was that the key for the lock I ordered was missing. I called and spoke with Ali, and she is sending me a lock in the mail. The quality of the cage is fantastic, and the customization is on point. I will recommend them to any friends looking for cages.

Great company, awesome coustomer service. Glass door arrived shattered (due to shipping) and we had a new glass door on our doorstep in less then a week (thanks Ali). Long lead times but well worth the wait. Easy to assemble, comes with all the hardware, stackable, and they look great. Love AP cages I highly recommend this product.

Purchased my daughter 3 T8 cages. 2 to be used for her ball pythons and one we split for her 2 geckos. Absolutely love the cages but totally hate the fluorescent light fixtures that I bought 6 of for $25 each. They are terrible. Anything bumps into them (including the snakes) they turn off and I have to mess with the bulb to try and get it back on, in some cases I can't get it on. She has 3 at this moment that I can't get back on and I got too aggravated with them so left it. I already bought 2 replacement fixtures from amazon for the other ones at an added expense. Now 3 that I am not able to get back on. Get the cages, not the lights.

I ordered a T10 cage in Black on May 19 and received my enclosure 8 months later, this month (December). I called about 4 months into waiting and they said “I’ll ship it within a week”...2 months later, NOTHING. Called again, said they would ship it “next week”...NOTHING.this happened one more time until it was FINALLY shipped. I understand they are short staffed and wait times are long; however, when I received my long-awaited enclosure, the glass doors were completely shattered. They were not well protected or packaged that great, either. Nor did the box say “fragile” on it. They sent another pair of doors, free of cost and shipped them right away, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, 4 days later and those doors arrived, SHATTERED. Again, not well protected or packaged. I’m really upset, given I just want my snake to experience his cool enclosure I plan on setting up for him. I’m tired of waiting for doors and having them shattered, but I have no choice. The enclosure has already been paid for, along with all of the stuff that goes inside.

I want to do badly give this company five stars, however, I’ve bought four T-8 enclosures and they are great but the quality after I got the first one has gone down significantly. The last two I received smell so badly of mildew or mold it has taken me extra work to get it out. My first enclosure was great, the only complaint was that the lights went out but that’s an easy fix. The smell didn’t start until I got my third one and man it is overwhelming, it stinks through the box. The enclosure themselves work fantastic but you have to get that smell out somehow. And also, the last two were just not up to par with the first two. For one reason or another the quality went down and I am not sure why. First two were great, second two smell so bad they stink outside of the box.

I gave it a week after putting my rack together to give a review, and I can't give this company enough stars! I bought a relatively small rack system and Ali was there with me throughout the entire thing. I had to change my shipping address and they were wonderful to work with then-got back to me within a day. When I had questions putting together the rack system I was able to get ahold of her after business hours and she gave me great advice. As for my snakes, they seem very happy and I got a perfect shed just yesterday from one of them. I've already recommended them to other reptile friends, I'll definitely be buying from them again when I decide to expand my collections.

I placed an order in September 2020 for 9 cages. It was 3k plus out of my pocket. I heard nothing from them but lies like "we're finishing them up this week" or " we will get them out next week". Then another month would go by. I finally asked for a refund a year later. Luckily for me and to their credit, they sent me a refund right away. They shipped me my heat panels that they were supposed to install in my cages. To say my experience was a disappointment is an understatement.

Ali has been so helpful and kind with all my questions. She has answered every email and helped to make sure my tank got here. Also my door slipped and fell (smashing to pieces) and they help to replace it right away!!! The tanks the make are so beautiful and priced really well!! Will definitely shop again with them. I’ve bought two tanks so far and my geckos love them!!!

Like the majority has stated the enclosure is great quality and does its job, however that is only to be expected when it takes them almost a year to get it to you.I ordered my enclousre from them June 2021 and just received my enclosure in March of THIS YEAR.Im going to be very raw right now, the leas time are RIDICULOUS. I understand there are shortages or supplies and workers or whatever the case may be, but this is a BUSINESS. And a business has to do whats necessary to keep up with demands. They claim on their website that they have expanded to fulfill orders faster, but from what I can see nothing has changed.My advice to whoever sees this is that you get what you pay for. They have great prices, but do you really want to wait MONTHS for one enclosure. Is it worth it? Not to me.

Only great experiences with these people. When I made my first order they called me to make sure they were assisting me properly. I have a issue with the eat tape but they do not produce the product. Flexiwatt handled the issue with the tape no question. Make sense why they use them. I see some people complaining about fit of tub then I see those people using the wrong tubs. Never have a escape issue that wasn't my fault. Thank you!

The cages are phenomenal and are exactly what I wanted. Not sure what all the negative comments are about as it clearly states on their website “approximately 18-34 weeks for manufacturer and delivery for most units except quick ship items”. Maybe before leaving a negative comment you should do your due diligence.

Animal Plastics does have great products at a good price, however, you may have to be incredibly patient to find out. Most of their products have months and months of wait times - assuming they ship out on time; they always don't ship out on time.Their customer service is just as bad as their wait times. Don't expect them to answer you if you reach out to them - there is no guarantee they'll ever get back to you. If your product is running late (highly likely), they will not let you know - ever.I ordered a product with a 30 day estimated ship time. Over two full months and counting, I've heard nothing from them. I sent a message and got nothing back.While the product is good, I just don't know if it's worth it. Shop around before you decide to settle in for a ridiculous wait time.

I really wish I could give an actual review on the enclosure but I am sitting at 9 months now with no enclosure. As a matter of fact, the animal I wanted to go in it has outgrown the enclosure we are waiting for. Luckily they are not the only place I could go. Last week we just recieved 4 new enclosures from one of their competitors. These enclosures we built and delivered in 2 months.

I ordered a T10 for my dwarf retic and it was WELL worth the wait! It's a light weight but well insulated enclosure, looks clean, and really holds the humidity that is required for a tropical snake species. The assembly directions are very clear and assembly was incredibly easy. They even installed my Pro Heat radiant panel for no charge!

I've ordered a dozen or so cages from this place and every single one has been great. I've never had any issues, it comes with everything needed to put together and it goes together very easily. I love the design and the price of these cages, and your animals will be happier being in this versus a glass tank. As a bonus these cages are so much easier to clean.

The cages themselves are great, the problem is they’ve been having fulfillment issues for years.Takes around 6months to receive whatever you order. Even then that’s probably a low estimate for many. But your payment is gone on day one...I get their busy and wasn’t expecting this much demand, but they don’t answer emails, and you’re pretty much left in the dark the day of your order shipping.Why they don’t just state they’re sold out on their website atm, to catch up on the orders they currently have then move forward from there is beyond me.

I ordered a T8 with two cut outs and a light. I sent AP my money and just kinda put the cage to the back of my mind as the lead time I believe was eight weeks. I am going from a 20 gallon aquarium to my first major snake cage. So anyway, one day I get an email stating the cage is on the way but the glass will be delayed. No worries gives the silicone time to set. The cage arrived and I threw the thing together barely reading the instructions. The fit and finish of this cage amazes me and reminds me of what American made really means. Thank You AP!!!

These are the best enclosures for your reptile,amphibian, and even invertebrate needs. They hold heat very nice are thick and sturdy and best of all wont rot like wood enclosures and hold humidty very well. The manufacturing takes a bit of time but these are quality units. I have 3 of the T8's with 2 more on the way and plans on getting even bigger units in the future for larger reptiles.
