I haven't been shopping at Aldi's in years. The one in Ottumwa is nicer than the ones I used to go to 20 years ago. The selection is much better than it used to be.

My 1st time ever going to an Aldi and I was shocked how amazing prices were. The shopping cart and self bagging pricess was new but cool. I'd always drive the extra hour for this place. A must go if you need to go grocery shopping.

Great prices and great selection of products. Make sure to bring your own bags and a quarter to use a cart. Weekly specials are a plus. This is our #1 place to do our grocery shopping!

The products are great and cheap. There are many organic products and the vegetables are always fresh. I only shop at Aldi, even though I have to travel 25 miles to get there.

Bought this the 3rd Sunday afternoon, I go to open it today Monday the 5th and this is what I see. The Best Buy date 4/24/24 tried to call to see if they could check the others apparently staffing is so bad that individual stores don’t even have their own numbers? Don’t have the receipt so of course wouldn’t even try to get replacement but just thought the public should be aware not to buy grape jelly from the ottumwa aldis.

I've been shopping at ALDI's in Ottumwa for decades. It was always one of the best ALDI stores around. I don't know if this place has changed Managers in the last few years, But this place is going downhill bad! They are out of stock all the time, basic stuff nothing unique just everyday staples. I haven't seen more than one cashier in at least a year. I've also noticed that Amish store owners are buying goods in bulk to stock their small grocery stores, which is totally fine if the Manager would order extra to keep the store stocked for everyone else. Out of the last 4 times I've been there I wasted my time driving a 1/2 hour only to find the store has been "cleaned out" of most of the items I shop for.

6 words: best prices, efficiency and Aldi finds. This is perfectly sufficient to describe the strengths of Aldi. Most of their stuff is high quality (sometimes there can be bad produce), but overall I’m so grateful for the money Aldi saves at the quality delivered!

Excellent prices. Have very good selection of fruits/vegetables at excellent price. Also good prices on wine, cereals, breads and bakery items & dairy. Selections can vary one week to the next, and in a smaller size store there is obviously going to be a smaller quantity and variety of products. I'm vegetarian so I cannot speak to any meat products. I was disappointed in the frozen pizza and ice creams.

Dairy cooler was down with signs please do not open doors, along with most of the open faced cooler were pretty much empty, so another trip back was required, but otherwise visit was ok. Cashier man was very nice.

I honestly don't know how we'd survive without this place. Without aggressive couponing, no where else can you get a full cart for under $150. The staff is always reasonable albeit beyond busy. And the Aldi finds are always fun. We love Aldis in this house.

Ive shopped at Aldis for years now. It was always be my go to store for the best prices on staples. Theyve increased their offerings and now have a good variety of the not so essential items. Their staff have always been helpful, friendly, and efficient while working.

Busy as always . Cashier was very nice when pointing out that I didn't have to stand in line to exchange my 2-dimes and 1- nickel for a quarter . Had everything that I went there for and were still stocking . Bathroom was clean as it always is . Every go in and get what need should be just like this experience .

Love this store. Need to shop here more often. Easy to navigate, although they don't have everything marked, I bought 2 different kinds of cherries, and there was only 1 sign, so I assumed the price was the same, 1 was slightly higher than the other. But other than that, no issues.

Good food for best price available make sure u bring bags or u have to use boxes- IF u can find them. Doesnt bother me because I use the reusable bags anyways. The quarter for a cart thing is great because people are incentivized to not leave their cars all over the parking lot where they can strike vehicles.
