Horrible place. I couldn't believe the awful smell of rat and or mice urine. It was so bad that I couldn't look around at the 'things' that were there. One aquarium was stocked so full of mice that their little faces were smashed up against the aquarium. It was sad. The fish aquariums were not clean, water was not refreshed in tanks and so filled with algae that you couldn't see the fish. Not many fish to select from. I had to leave after being in there for less than 10 minutes. I'm warning others about the horrid smell and terrible atmosphere.

Recently got this little guy/girl for a pretty good price and the prices for the rest of the stuff I got weren't bad. But as a reptile owner I always check on the reptiles specially the Iguanas because I know that given the right care they can live for about as long as a dog or older but only a third make it to maturity because of importation stress, improper diet, temperature or an inproper enclosure. Sadly the Iguana I saw the past few times I visited was dried up and needs to soak and needs some type of humidifier. The diet fed to the Iguana whenever I see it is always green beans which might be a stable but not a healthy or varied diet. The right care is important specially for reptiles without it they don't live as long. Giving owners less time with there beloved pet(s). :(

Mother won't let me have a tarantula... something about kicking my butt out of the house and changing the locks... Good thing the staff here is awesome, they let me handle the spiders whenever I want! 😁

I feel sorry for the animals. Store reeks of ammonia, and is a dirty environment. Pet stores take a lot of work to maintain and upkeep, sadly it looks like the owner has given up.

Nice to have a local fish/pet store. Needed some goldfish for my patio pond. They had a nice variety of colors and the price couldn't be beat.

I enjoy going here to get pets and supplies. The owner is knowledgeable in the pets and their needs and pretty friendly. There is a bit of an odor by the small pets, like mice and rats, but the rest of the store is fine. I get crickets and super worms there and occasionally fish and reptiles. None have ever been sick or mishandled. And only twice have I had a reptile die from there and both times the owner graciously replaced the reptile. Even when he had no more of the one I got and the replacement was 10.00 more. I'll continue to go there because of great service and I enjoy Zombie (cat)

I have recently bought a dwarf hamster for very good prices and she was in great health. I do ha e a question though... if one were to have to return a pet because of certain conditions, would one be able to do so??

I come here often, to get food for my geckos. I actually got my geckos from here also. The store is very clean, and the owner/man who runs it is very pleasant and nice. They have a wide variety of pets; birds, fish, rabbits, geckos, I've even seen scorpions and tarantulas and snakes!!

Where to start. If your looking for live or frozen snake food they have it. Most places cant get healthy live mice and well fins n things has a great selection. We basically have a zoo so we use Fins N Things weekly. We have several saltwater tanks and when we can't find it they will order it for us. So I highly recommend them on every level.

I took my 5 yr old granddaughter for her first time She enjoyed the animals/fish..however, our eyes were burning from the smell. Fish tanks were green. NOT as clean as I remember it from my childhood. Definitely needs a deep clean. Plus I had to address the employee with a hello-we were not even acknowledged when we came in.

They have a variety of critters and fish but the store is very un kept. All the critter tanks were in dire need of a cleaning and the fish tanks were dirty as well. The store has product to sell but it's kinda just scrambled about. Definitely needs a good cleaning. The person working talked to himself alot but hes friendly.

Enjoyed the visit. They had what I needed for all size feeders live and f/t. Great service! I' m glad it's near me rather than some of the other stores because their selection was much much less. Beautiful fish.

My brother purchased an unfriendly adult bearded dragon from here about 8 months ago. Super helpful. dragon is now thriving and happy. Loves to be handled just needed a little more attention and proper care :)

They need to take better care of the fish tanks and animals went in for feeder fish and the tanks are full of algae and the gerbils and mice and hamsters needed cleaning and food and water. The turtle aquarium was nasty green and he had very little water the only reason I go in is for feeder fish for my turtle

LOVE this pet shop! TLDR: VERY friendly and healthy pets, knowledgable staff.I was greeted right away when I walked in! They were so helpful with any questions, and let me handle the rats to check for temperament before buying. One of the girls I bought was tucked away in a tube, and they let me take the tube with since she was so attached.A huge thing with rats is having a good balance while swapping foods. Rat diets need to be changed over time through a process. I didn't even need to mention this--she gave me a very good size amount of the food the rats ate there for free with them! As far as mixed foods go rather than lab blocks, they were being fed a very healthy assortment. The food they're eating at the shop contains grains, protein, fruits, and veggies in appropriate portions for a rat. No little boxes here, either! A good size box for them, complete with appropriate bedding, and good ventilation.I purchased two female rats from Fins 'n Things on Saturday. I was hesitant to go to a pet shop for rats, since they're usually untamable or unfriendly. For reference, most rats take about six months to tame...I've had these girls for three days, and they already know their names and fall asleep during cuddles! They're friendly, the love treats (especially live mealworms) and love to explore. They're in good health as well! Huge personalities and so, so friendly.The pets I purchased have not ONCE shown any signs of aggression--no biting, no clawing, no puffing up or getting mad. Very sweet temperaments!Amazing customer service, fantastic knowledge of the animals in their care, and two sweet, cuddly girls from their shop--that's five stars from me!(And, to all the comments about the smell--it's a small pet shop. It smells like pets. If you go anywhere with animals, especially a littler shop...you're going to smell the animals! It is not an unclear or unhealthy smell at all. Just animals. The bedding was clean, and the cages were appropriate sizes for their purposes. You wouldn't complain about a pool smelling like chlorine! LOL.)

I used to love this pet store, despite the bad smell and apparent lack of cleaning, they had very nice, tame pets. But the most recent gerbil we bought from them was infested with bird mites. We didn't realize what the issue was until our house was swarming with them and all our kids covered in bites. I will be avoiding this store like the plague. I would not wish this hell on my worst enemy. Bird mites are horrible.

I like the store that's where my mother got her rabbit George and where I'm going to purchase a Parakeet. People complain about the tanks needing cleaning and the smell, but every time I walk into the store it's one man behind the counter trying to things clean and trying to answer people's questions and such which can be a lot on someone.

We walked into this place and could not believe the condition this store was in . Everything was absolutely filthy. The smell was horrid. I felt so sorry for the animals and what they were having to live in. How are these people still open? The owners should be ashamed.
