This is the great little Mexican restaurant on the other side of the tracks, literally. The food itself, while satisfying, was somewhat nondescript from many other little Mexican restaurants. Great portions. Great value. The chips were not the wimpy dipping things served elsewhere. These are heavy-duty scooping chips. Hearty, crunchy, and tasty are the chips served here. There was a birthday in the room, for which the 3 staff members sang. Fortunately, the food and service are much better than the music, but it was a good time. Being surrounded by patrons speaking Spanish made it seem like we were south of the border. I ordered the #12, shown in the photo.

Friendly quick service and quality authentic Mexican food! We got three different platters and enjoyed them all. The food came fast and hot! I would recommend to anyone coming through town.

One picture is the la Corona special with cactus and the other is the new Mexico special. Both were delicious!! Pictures 3 and 4 and 5 isfrom our visit on 12/1/2022. Picture 3 is called Maya... it's skirt strap, chicken, shrimp and sautėd mushrooms in garlic butter sauce with rice, beans with Pico and guacamole. Pictorial 4 is called mazatlan. It had skirt steak, chicken, bacon wrapped shrimp with rice, beans, Pico and guacamole. The last photo is a tamale. Everything everytime is so amazing!!!

Christmas eve and they were open. I think they were closing as we came in but they welcomed us in to eat. Very clean, i even felt comfortable eating some of the abundance of cheese they serve off the table. It smelled clean when we walked in. The salsa is freshy fresh. We are traveling from Az to IA and will stop here as we pass through time after time. They do not skimp on the cheese.

EVERYTIME we come in the server is ALWAYS on top of things we need. Rushing around if we don’t have something that we should. Food is AMAZING. Love the people who work there always VERY nice!Parking: Lots of space. A bunch of room.Kid-friendliness: Always so nice to the children and never upset about messes that may be made.

The Bad:The lighting is too bright creating a lot of energy.This could be troublesome for some.The rice was over fried as well as the steak in the chimi.The sever wore a strong EDP perfumeInstead of a milder EDT blend.This takes away from the patrons palate.The Good:Pork taco had lots of thick meat and was oily but delicious!!The Hard shell was fresh and the Seafood chimi was well balanced.The server was friendly and charming.She was attentive to any needs.The place is very spacious and very clean. Large portions so you get plenty.

When my sisters come to town we head to La Corona, the food taste home made. They don’t hurry you. The Waite staff are fantastic they return at least 2 times during the meal to fill your glass and see that you aren’t in need of something. They have great mix drinks. The Shrimp Burrito is my personal favorite! The shrimp is tender delicious! Yummy cheesy tender flour tortillas! Yummy Horchata cream yummy goodness!

Friendly service, great food seasoned just right, cooked perfectly. The chimichanga was crisp, hot, the steak inside was delicious. The atmosphere was family friendly; no TV blaring in the ear. Service was prompt and so was the food delivery to our table. The prices were more than reasonable! So I left a nice tip.Vegetarian options: Usually vegetarian offerings at Mexican restaurants are... well... not the best. My wife thoroughly enjoyed Veggie Enchilada!

Went on a Friday night, service was very slow although they were very busy. We had a few issues with the food, it took at least 30 minutes from order to served with 8 people. We found a hair in the cheese dip and a peice of plastic In the nachos. The food was average quality, the steak and chicken were kind of tough. The price was average.

Huge portions! The prices are appropriate for the large size. Food is high quality, salsa and chips are also very good. I would like more size options for margarita drinks. Definitely the better option for sit down Mexican food in town. The restaurant could use some more decoration to make it feel more comfortable inside.
