Friendly workers and a good selection of merchandise at a decent price. The employees even though friendly, not all of them are very knowledgeable on what you ask or need help with.

Walked in hoping to buy a husqvarna chainsaw. Went back to look at them, was gunna get a 440e. Took it to the front desk and asked “how much is the 460 rancher? There’s no tag on the saw or the shelf” the cashier tried tirelessly to find me a price but their computer system is trash and she couldn’t figure it out. So she calls the “boss”. Let me tell you, this lady boss is probably the worst boss I’ve ever seen. Firstly she told me the $299 tag on the shelf for the 440 was wrong and they just increased to $359 and proceeded to endlessly blame her employees which is sad. Price marks being incorrect is a direct failure of leadership not the cashier, then to blame them to the customer? I was embarrassed for them it was sad. But the whole kicker, she refused to honor the price on the shelf of $299. I will never shop here again ever, even if my house has a pipe leak, is flooding and this place is the only place with the right fitting.

Very friendly store, always has what I need, always clean when I go in! The old man is real nice! The blonde girl super funny and helpful! The tall guy reminds me of a cop. The black haired girl is super nice.

Got paint from menards (light light grey) painted a little part of my house and didn't like the color. Didn't want to drive another 1 hr and 1/2 back up to Des Moines so Called up to true value (because creston true value does paint corrections with no problem so me thinking osceola would be okay too) called first and talked to someone. They said "oh that is simple yeah bring it in no problem" get there we have them 2 pictures and paint color slip of what we want. "Yeah no problem" the girl ask us how much you want of black in oz and blue? Me not a painter so I know nothing about paint. Tried this about 6-10 times still wasn't the right color. 6:30 she closed the bucket said we're closed and out of black ask can you come back Friday because i work 3:30-5:30 no cost because we didn't finish the process. we said ya no problem. We paid the 20$ for the correction for that day. Came back Friday again she ask " how much black do I add and blue" again were not painted and know nothing about paint. Did it another 3 times and still no where close to where it needs to be. Bucket was full she closed it and said sorry nothing else can do. Again the paint is still no where close to what the picture is. As we walk out she said she has to charge us again because we came back. After she said come bk Friday no cost because they were closing. I refused and talked to a manager and she was no help either. Probably shouldn't have people in the paint if they don't even know how to run he computer let alone know what oz to add. 300$ worth of paint down the drain. Called true value in creston they offered to redo the whole thing for free at no cost and get the exact color needed. Not the only one who has had problems here with other things too.

None of the employees know squat About their products. I asked for asked for a post level yeand they wanted to sell me A post driver. I had to explain what a level was and the cashier did not know what it was.

When you have a project and don't want to drive to West Des Moines. The Bomgaars DeWalt section is larger and often has sales. I think I have seen a few DeWalt sales here but nothing that caused me to spend money.

They have a complete inventory for businesses like mine and if you are a DIYer. Online says open at 7am which would be a huge plus for people like me that start they day early.
