This was such a cute family owned inn! It’s right down the road from the downtown square full of shops and art. Its clean and simple as most people have said. You are getting what is reasonable to expect for the price. We stayed here wanting to stay on a budget, we have our dog, and we just needed clean and comfy. For the people who want bigger tvs and better cable, I would challenge you to enjoy some peace and maybe a short walk about town instead.The room had local info and very thoughtful amenities. They offered a pass to the local gym if your workout is important to routine. I love seeing towns support each other.

We stayed in so many seedy motels on this road trip that this place felt like an oasis. Very clean and quiet little roadside motel. Ended up staying two nights and the staff was really helpful and friendly. I can definitely vouch for them cleaning the rooms the guy they had doing it was at it all morning. Good spot. Would recommend staying here if you're in the area and don't need to be in Des Moines .You'll get a nice clean room. Bathroom and shower were clean and worked just fine too. Lots of beetles outside because it's the springtime but we had zero bug problems in our room.

Great value. Everything was extremely clean and well-maintained, and the communication was excellent (she preemptively called me to ensure seamless check-in). Sheets, wash cloths, and towels appeared new and in good condition. Perfect road-trip stop, and it’s always nice to put dollars into independent owners and operators rather than massive chains.

Awesome place. Staff is amazing, friendly, and courteous. Room was clean and well equipped. Had a wonderful step in shower with adjustable showerhead. The room had the bed of course, a table and 2 chairs, microwave, refrigerator, telephone, coffee pot with 2 coffee servings including sugar, coffemate, sweet and low, and television with cable. Check in lady was super friendly, reminded me of visiting with an aunt that you haven't seen since Christmas, lol. Just all in all a wonderful place to stay. If I'm back in the area I will definitely be checking back into the Evergreen Inn. Thank you, keep up the good work!Rooms: Spacious and clean.Nearby activities: Wonderful ice cream parlor a short distance from the inn, excellent as well.Safety: Room has locking keypad instead of conventional key.

So we have booked this hotel twice the first night they were absolutely fantastic. We unfortunately weren't able to make it to the hotel due to weather. We called them told them we had to pull over for our family's safety and they completely refunded us and we got that refunded back in no joke five minutes. Out on way back home we decided to pull over for the night was close to here so we booked a room. They were so kind and got us in our room very very fast. Once getting in our room we were very impressed. We stay in a lot of hotels and this is the very first one with a ceiling fan!! The beds are memory foam beyond comfortable, the room has a lot of space to move around even with two queen beds. Like I said we stay in a lot of hotels and this has been my favorite so far any time we travel to see family we will be staying here. It's exactly half way both ways for us so it's perfect. My husband said the front desk lady was sweet as pie as well.

One of my worst top 5 rooms I have ever stayed. I travel Iowa for my job, this Motel has some major issues. I had to request to be moved twice while here. The first room looked ok but smelled like cat urine/amonia. (You make your own assumption.). The second room the beds to sleep in literally felt like I was sleeping on the springs and if you got too close to the edge you slid off the bed, cheap fold up chairs to sit on and no pictures on the walls which were badly in need for some paint. The first room I was promptly moved, second room I had to keep asking and was initially told No. Seemed the Owners were more concerned with lining their pockets than making there rooms comfortable and safe to stay in. I would not recommend this Inn at all! Stay at your own risk.

Last minute changes called for an overnight stay and this little gem of a motel was like out of a movie. The hospitality from the front desk, to the cleanliness and quaint little room, it was an uniquely fabulous experience.No haters, it’s not the Ritz Carlton. But the hospitality I experienced felt like it was one.

If you are looking for a cozy spot to stay I would highly recommend the Evergreen Inn. This small family owned business genuinely cares about their patrons and the experience had at their facility. The owners are some of the friendliest people around. Their map in office is evidence of happy customers from all around the nation. The room we had was small, but still plenty of space for our family of five. The beds were not loved by our crew, and a few other oddities made us chuckle a bit, but overall it was a nice stay. They keep a membership with a local gym and allow guest free access 24/7. The facility is located on the main drag in a small town that is surprisingly busy early in the morning. We had the window open to allow the cool air in and it was pretty noisy from the traffic. All things considered, we had a nice stay and would definitely stay again!

The best I can say about the room was that it was cleanish. However, our room lacked even the most basic amenities like travel shampoo, bath towels, more than one tiny bar of soap for the shower and sink, more than one pillow, a lamp, water, and a working coffee machine, I would look for another place. Our bed was old and uncomfortable with weird fish print sheets that did not appear freshly laundered. This was a disappointment because for the same price (almost 80 bucks!) we stayed at much cleaner well equipped family run motels with breakfast included. Pass.

Non smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke, could be the large ashtray directly outside front door. Office opened 45 minutes after stated time. Person that did show up was very pleasant. Room not clean, previous occupants medication left on floor, not picked up. No cups, coffee. Person at front desk was very accommodating. Other than that was OK. Would not stay again.

Clean, well maintained room. Easy check-in and very pleasant staff. The wood paneling interior gives a better feel than beige walls. Everything is simple and functional but is in good repair and serves its function. Very good value for a night's layover. The only downside was the thin walls - my neighbor ran the TV loud all night and I could hear everything quite clearly. I would stay again, however.

Pet friendly at decent rate. We had bad luck booking online at other places that claimed to be pet friendly, so we just stopped in when we got in the area, no reservation, and they were able to accommodate us and our 2 pets for the night! I'd definitely recommend calling in advance, though, because its a small family owned motel. We probably just got lucky. We paid $86 for a Sunday night with 2 pets. Room was clean and shower was hot with strong water pressure. Bed was comfortable as well. This was relaxing after being on the road for 15 hours. We had a small trailer and were able to park okay. We'll definitely bookmark this place for when we are passing through again. Thanks for a cozy stay!

This is an old fashioned roadside motel where you park in front of your room. It’s quite charming. The room was small, but nice—just the stuff you need to be comfortable for the night. The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful. If you like a 1940’s motel, this is a good one.

If you are looking for a safe spot with a comfortable bed along your way, this is an great affordable choice. It's nestled in the town so you aren't out in the middle of nowhere and the owners maintain the rooms well.My flight was delayed so I didn't arrive until well into the night but with keyless entry it wasn't a problem. After a three minute phone call I was in my room. I appreciated not needing to deal with a finicky key card!I could see from the other cars that it was pretty booked but I didn't hear a peep from any other rooms. The bed was soft and cozy and I slept like a log.Best place I've stopped over in.

Tucked away between Iowa and Missouri just off 35 stands a sweet refuge. A darling family owned inn with all the right values. Impeccably clean room with a cute theme and low pet deposits. I was worried my fiancé and I would have trouble finding an affordable place with our two Pyrenees boys but the owner answered my call right away and was very welcoming at 10 pm on a Sunday. We arrived groggy from our road trip but embraced by her and a little family of sweet outdoor cats. How fantastic is that for a pet lover concerned about cleanliness and acceptance? I love how the owners welcome not only weary travelers but outdoor baby kittens as well. Our room was quiet and by far the cleanest pet friendly motel I’ve ever seen (brand new pillows, great fish printed linens, neat shower). Will be back and inviting all who journey this way!! Thank you for a fantastic stay, Evergreen Inn!! 10/10

I do quite a bit of traveling. Evergreen Inn was one of the cleanest, cutest, and most homelike hotels I have stayed in. I was able to back right up to my room . The rooms are very clean and adorable. The place was fully booked yet I heard no one and the location was just off the interstate enough that you didn't have the traffic.Did I mention the price? Definitely got my monies worth. Thank you to the lady at one of the local has stations for recommending Evergreen Inn to me

Very nice place and the woman at the front desk was very friendly. Locally owned I believe. The rooms were a little dated, some wood paneling, springy beds and a tube TV, however the room was in great condition. Comparable rooms at other motels had various things in disrepair. If you are looking for a clean, well kept room for the night, this is a great choice.

This place in my book was better on price kindness and cleanses then the hotel at the casino these woman at evergreen was so awesome and kind this is the place I'll be staying at when ever I go visit the casino every month shout out to Sarah and Jodi you both was lovely and welcomen to talk to on the phone you guys will be hearing from me very soon I recommend this place as a overnight stay or for the weekend was very clean comfortable and the shower was good pressure and hot water beds was comfy and very very quiet
